About the role:
At Single Homeless Project (SHP), we believe in the power of learning to transform not only careers, but lives. As part of our blended learning approach, e-learning plays a key role in developing and empowering our staff to deliver the best possible support to people experiencing homelessness across London. This fixed-term role for 4–6 months, providing maternity cover with the potential for extension, offers a unique opportunity to shape the learning experiences of SHP staff by enhancing and expanding our e-learning offer. Based within our Learning and Development team, you’ll be surrounded by passionate and collaborative colleagues who are committed to delivering high quality training to staff, locums and volunteers across a wide range of topics.
In this role, you’ll be central to the creation and improvement of interactive, engaging e-learning content using Adapt authoring software. You’ll refine existing modules, build new ones from the ground up, and ensure learning materials are accessible, relevant and impactful. With a particular focus on tailored health and safety training and other priority subjects, you’ll work closely with subject matter experts across SHP to bring ideas to life. Whether you’re tweaking functionality, refining content or developing entirely new modules, your work will enable staff to grow in confidence and skill - helping them provide more effective, compassionate support to our clients.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a keen eye for detail, good IT and organisational skills, and a flair for creating learning content or presentations. You’ll be encouraged to ask questions, take initiative and collaborate with colleagues across the organisation.
About you:
- Highly IT literate to at least intermediate level, including a great working knowledge of Microsoft Office programmes, with excellent presentation skills.
- Competent in using the Adapt authoring tool, preferably within Learning Pool software, or ability to learn new design package and systems with ease.
- Understanding of learning or training design, with experience in e-learning content creation, or training delivery.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to co-ordinate multiple systems/processes and manage time effectively, prioritising different areas of work according to need.
- Ability to build and maintain positive and effective relationships both internally and externally and to work collaboratively with team members and other stakeholders across the organisation.

As an associate, you will be involved in the delivery of aspects of the Board Development programme including our aspiring directors programme and effective challenge module. You will work with, and collaborate with, a group of talented fellow associates with a varied range of skills and capabilities, as well as board experience, NHS experience, coaching, mentoring and facilitation skills. Your responsibilities will include delivering dynamic training sessions using pre-prepared materials; delivery could be online or face to face. On occasion you will also be required to utilise your skills and experience to support the development and maintenance of new and existing training session materials. This role requires a passionate individual with a strong background in HR and OD and a proven track record of facilitating engaging and impactful training sessions.
We will support you by offering you commissioned pieces of work on a daily rate, either to help scope and deliver bespoke board development work with NHS trusts and other system partners, or to help us deliver our open courses, where we will be proactive in confirming the agenda and briefing you on content. We ask all of our associates to sign an associate contract which means we can approach you with offers of work over the course of the year. Job Summary
Learning Support Assistants support PiP’s Development Workers to deliver a flexible programme of learning and development opportunities; ensuring that students can actively participate and engage in sessions, giving student’s maximum opportunity to learn and develop.
PiP’s programmes focus on four learning pathways:
- Independent Living Skills
- Creative and Performing Arts
- Health, Wellbeing and Happiness
- Employment and Vocational Skills

What You’ll Do
This role enables the DEC and our 15 member charities to effectively respond to humanitarian emergencies and provide timely, quality, community-focused assistance.
As an Accountability & Learning Officer, alongside your efforts to contribute to our learning and growth, you will shape our work to influence key policy agendas. You’ll be working across such areas as climate adaption, flexible funding for humanitarian action, and locally led humanitarian responses.
Overseeing our monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning activities, you will support the set-up of projects, build relationships, and co-ordinate activities in all our current operational theatres.

About the role
We’re looking for a Learning and Development Coordinator (known internally as People Development Coordinator) with either experience in learning and development and/or a strong interest in building a career in the field to join our People Development Team
You’ll support the team in the coordination of internal and externally commissioned learning and development activities, working closely within the team, your departmental colleagues, and internal subject experts on a wide range of subjects and topics that are core areas for our workforce. Salary: £30,559 per annum (Scale SCP 18), progressing by increments to £33,366 per annum (Scale SCP 23)
Hours: 36 hours per week Location: Home-based to cover London primarily, alongside wider South and East England Area.
Contract: Fixed term contract to March 2027

About Hotel School
Hotel School is an award-winning charity that empowers people who have experienced homelessness and other disadvantages to thrive in the hospitality industry. This dynamic 10-week programme combines theory, hands-on experience, and industry visits to provide the skills and confidence to land a job and excel in it.
Hotel School provides a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive training environment where students are given the opportunity to build their confidence to learn and grow. Our holistic approach is how we succeed in finding and sustaining long-term employment and progression, even for those who have been unemployed for over 20 years. We support our graduates as they take their first steps into work through mentoring, employer education, and progression management and support our graduates for up to one year after graduation, and sometimes longer if needed.
Hotel School operates as a Psychologically Informed Environment (PIE), meaning our training programme is tailored to address the emotional and psychological needs of the individuals we work with. Within this framework, Hotel School adopts a Trauma-Informed approach when engaging with students and graduates, acknowledging that many may have encountered complex trauma.
About the Role
Join a small, passionate, and dynamic team committed to helping individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds complete their training and transition into sustainable, inclusive careers within the hospitality industry.
As an Employment & Progression Coach, you’ll work one-on-one with students and graduates, supporting them to overcome barriers, stay motivated, and achieve their goals, evoking meaningful change in their lives and futures.
You will also work closely with Hotel School hospitality employer partners to identify suitable job opportunities and collaborate to ensure our graduates are well-supported as they transition into and sustain meaningful employment.
Key Responsibilities

Provide one-to-one, trauma-informed and person-centred employment support to students and graduates

Help graduates overcome barriers and prepare for sustainable hospitality careers

Work closely with employer partners to secure and support job opportunities

Coordinate work experience placements and deliver employability workshops

Collaborate with mentors and support services to ensure holistic, person-centred support

Monitor and record the progress of students and graduates

Follow safeguarding procedures and respond appropriately
About you
We’re looking for someone who is:

Experienced working with people experiencing homelessness and/or other disadvantages or in
employment services

Compassionate, patient, and calm under pressure

Passionate about empowering and motivating people to move forward

Experienced in supporting people facing barriers

Highly organised, proactive, adaptable, with great communication skills

Able to build trust and communicate well with a wide range of people in person

Experienced in admin and using systems (MS Office essential)
