Location: Gilwell Park, Chingford / Hybrid or Home-based (with regular UK travel)

Salary:  Hybrid -£33,476 per annum, Band F, Level 3 (inclusive of OLW)

Salary: Home-based: £31,716 per annum, Band F, Level 3

Contract Type: Permanent

Working Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week

We’re looking for a motivated and confident Policy and Public Affairs Executive to join our small but mighty team at Scouts. This is your chance to work on real, high-profile campaigns and help influence the future of Scouting and youth services across the UK.

As our Policy and Public Affairs Executive, Key responsibilities:

  • Engaging with MPs and organising events at political party conferences
  • Leading on our flagship 35 Hours of Volunteering Leave campaign
  • Tracking government decisions and ensuring young people’s voices are heard
  • Help write briefings and updates for our senior leaders

What we are looking for in our Policy and Public Affairs Executive:

  • Communicates clearly and confidently both in writing and in person
  • Is organised, great with people, and thrives on variety
  • Has some experience in politics, policy, or public affairs
  • Enjoys supporting young people and working with purpose
  • Is highly organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple deadline
