The Referral, Assessment and Operational Development Manager will play a pivotal role in supporting the Managing Director with new business development, coordinating and managing referrals, assessments, tenancies and transitions for our customers with learning disabilities and autism.

The working pattern for this role is:Monday - Friday 9am-5pm

What you'll do:
Referral & Assessment Coordination
* Monitor and respond to referrals from external sources and direct contacts.
* Maintain a current tracking system for referral clarity and produce regular reports.
* Analyse referral data to identify local commissioning needs and growth opportunities.
* Work with managers on person-centered assessments covering care needs, environmental suitability, risk management, and transition planning.
* Complete and submit needs assessments with costings and support package requirements.
* Coordinate the assessment process and internal referral meetings.

As the Senior Impact Manager, Motorsports Engagement, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining strategic relationships with motorsports employers to support young people from underrepresented backgrounds into early career opportunities. Working closely with Formula 1 and its teams, as well as a broader network of STEM-related organisations across the UK, US, and Brazil, you will lead collaboration efforts to influence inclusive recruitment and retention practices in motorsports, and enhance career access and progression. With a strong external focus, you will also support Mission 44’s fundraising goals, representing the organisation at high-profile events, stewarding key corporate accounts, and helping secure investment in our programmes and mission.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

DELIVERY OF MOTORSPORTS ENGAGEMENT STRATEGY (70%)

• Play a key role in the development and execution of Mission 44’s new Motorsports strategy, to create access opportunities for young people from underrepresented backgrounds within STEM sectors, particularly motorsports.

• Build trusted relationships with key motorsport employers and stakeholders, including F1, F1 teams, FIA, and relevant STEM employers, to drive sector-wide change, focusing on increasing demand for underrepresented talent, adoption of inclusive recruitment practices, and awareness of Mission 44’s work and impact.

• Apply and continually improve the convening strategy and toolkits to Mission 44’s STEM work, helping determine when and how convening can most effectively support our goal of inspiring and supporting young people (aged 14–30) in the UK and US to access careers in STEM and motorsport.

• Collaborate with the Engagement Directorate, nonprofit partners and corporates to design and deliver high-impact STEM career experiences at Formula 1 races and other key events - some of which will be international - ensuring alignment with Mission 44’s objectives and offering young people meaningful exposure to career pathways.

EXTERNAL REPRESENTATION AND ENGAGEMENT (20%)

• Represent Mission 44 at Motorsport industry events, donor meetings, clearly articulating our global mission and impact with tailored messaging for each audience.

• Support cultivation and stewardship efforts as requested by the Engagement Directorate, engaging prospective donors and prioritising meetings that deliver the greatest strategic value.

• Advocate for Mission 44 at high-profile events and stakeholder meetings, championing greater industry engagement and driving impact.

• Support our storytelling and communications efforts to highlight success and progress while spotlighting challenges to potentially shape future advocacy.

MONITORING AND LEARNING (10%)

• Support the Head of Impact, STEM Pathways and the Head of Strategy and Learning to collect key impact data.

• Contribute to evaluation processes, seek and develop opportunities to raise awareness of Mission 44’s work to create early career pathways for young people.

• Assist with annual reporting and provide input into fundraising and communications materials where relevant.

ABOUT YOU: SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL 

• Experience working in the motorsports sector and/or F1, with a strong network of connections. 

• Knowledge of inclusive recruitment and retention practices.

• Strong understanding of early career pathways into STEM careers, particularly into the motorsport sector, and of barriers to access for people from underrepresented backgrounds.

• Strong expertise in programme design and implementation.

• Outstanding project management and organisational skills, with the ability to drive initiatives from concept to execution, including organising events and convening workshops in an inclusive and equitable way.

Research in Practice has supported evidence-informed practice in adult social care for twenty years and for almost thirty years in the children and families’ sector. We are now seeking a Senior Practice and Research Development Officer to join our adult’s team.

This senior role is ideal for someone with excellent facilitation skills and substantial experience in adult social care or related sectors. While the position requires engagement with and understanding of research it is not a primary research role.

The successful candidate will have experience designing and delivering resources, workshops, webinars, and events for a range of audiences, including senior leaders. The role requires a strong understanding of research, policy, ethical and legal frameworks relevant to practice and the ability to translate complex evidence into accessible learning. Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills are essential.

The post holder will lead a small team of committed Research and Development Officers developing and delivering high-quality learning resources in various formats.

The role involves:

• having substantial experience in adult social care or related sectors
• presenting, chairing, and facilitating a range of sector-wide discussions, workshops, webinars and other learning events,
• supporting the team to develop their facilitation skills,
• scoping, commissioning, writing and editing, event materials and written resources, and supporting the team with this,

· Lead on budgeting, quarterly management accounts and financial reporting

· Manage cashflow, banking arrangements and fund reconciliations

· Support donor reporting and investment oversight

· Line-manage and support our Finance Assistant(s)

You will be supporting and motivating staff in achieving outcomes and meeting targets within a payment-by-results initiative focused on preventing or relieving homelessness among single refugee individuals.

This involves meticulous analysis of data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and the production of comprehensive reports. Additionally, responsibilities include building and managing relationships with landlords in the private sector, expanding the housing inventory, fostering connections throughout the council, overseeing referrals, managing financial transactions and budgets, and ensuring accurate data input and monitoring.

Here's what the team will be looking for

You demonstrate strong knowledge and/or relevant qualifications in housing and homelessness legislation, including the Housing Act and Homelessness Reduction Act, with a sound understanding of welfare benefits, welfare reform and Health & Safety regulations.

You have experience preventing and relieving homelessness, with practical skills in securing accommodation in the private rented sector, navigating tenancy agreements, understanding landlord–tenant relationships and local housing markets.

You have a proven ability to manage and support staff, including inductions, supervision, training, motivation, and handling grievance matters professionally. You also have solid safeguarding knowledge and can apply procedures effectively to protect clients.

You are confident coordinating work across multiple agencies, meeting deadlines through effective communication, organisation and leadership. You can build and negotiate strong partnerships to enhance services and secure positive outcomes for clients.

Highly self-motivated and able to work under pressure, you manage competing priorities effectively. You possess strong literacy, numeracy and record-keeping skills, with the ability to analyse information and communicate clearly with external agencies. You are flexible and willing to work outside office hours and travel when required.

The Centre Coordinator will report to the Service and Business Manager, and will line-manager centre and centre volunteers.

​​Guildford Cathedral is a sacred space and a community of people who engage with God and the wider world for the common good.  We do this by being a warm-hearted community open to God, to all, to growth and to transformation.  Over 100,000 visitors come to the Cathedral each year and our Cathedral ‘community’ comprises thousands who feel close the Cathedral because of historical connection, the purchase of a brick in the 1950s, their membership of the worshipping congregations or staff and volunteers.

Accountable to:The Chapter of Guildford Cathedral.

Hours and salary:Part time – 0.5 FTE/18 hours per week (flexibility is essential for this role). The salary for the post is £18,720 p/a.​

What You'll Do:​​

​In this key role, you will take ownership of all aspects of property management and facilities services, including long-term planning, compliance, and cost control. You will oversee maintenance programmes, manage budgets and contracts, and ensure high standards of health and safety across the estate.

This is a hands-on position that will involve, at times, physical activity, including accessing all areas of the Cathedral and other buildings, which may involve navigating numerous stairs and confined spaces.​

Some of the Key Responsibilities of the role:​

• Maintenance Management: Oversee planned and reactive maintenance across Cathedral properties, ensuring timely completion and accurate reporting.
• Health & Safety Compliance: Apply and maintain the Cathedral’s Health & Safety Policy, promoting safe working practices and compliance with legislation.
• Facilities Oversight: Supervise all maintenance work relating to the interior and exterior condition, manage car parking facilities and monitor and review maintenance equipment, ensuring safe and efficient operation.
• Financial and Procurement: Manage delegated budgets and contribute to annual budget planning. Oversee procurement processes including annual reviews of maintenance and service contracts to ensure best value.
• Governance & Reporting: Attend committee meetings, provide reports, and support grant applications as required.
