About the role

The post-holder will provide independent advocacy in various settings, including in the community, people’s homes, and hospital settings including mental health wards. You’ll raise awareness of advocacy, including for people from minority ethnic communities. You’ll work as part of a team of independent advocates, reporting to the Advocacy Service Manager. 

You will work as part of the Ealing advocacy team. You may also need to carry out your role in other London boroughs.

Under the Health and Social Care Act 2008, the post holder will be required to visit CQC registered care homes and would be subject to government requirements.

Key responsibilities

î  Provide advocacy for eligible people under Mental Health Act 2007, the Health and Social Care Act 2012, Mental Capacity Act 2005 and under the Care Act 2014.

î  Provide a one-to-one advocacy service for people and undertake case work, evidencing and uploading case notes and data in a timely manner.

î  Provide instructed and non-instructed advocacy, where appropriate.

î  Provide information, support or signpost clients in order to inform or empower individuals on any issues about their treatment under the relevant legislation.

î  Act as duty advocate for our Single Point of Access referral line on a rota basis.

î  Meet case-working standards, monitoring system requirements and the goals for our service, making sure everyone needing advocacy is referred into the service in the right way.

î  Work within the location-specific engagement protocols, security, confidentiality and safeguarding policies (in addition to the Advocacy Best Practice Handbook).

î  Actively promote self-advocacy throughout all work with patients, where practical.

î  Raise awareness of independent advocacy and referring pathways to eligible people and referring agencies.

î  Keep your knowledge of legislation and policy up-to-date, including the mental health act, mental capacity act, care act, and local / national policy.

î  Keep up to date with developments and good practice in independent advocacy (including different advocacy models).

î  Develop good working relationships with key staff within health and social care services.

î  Be an active member of the advocacy service, contributing to service planning and providing cover for other colleagues when needed.

Person specification

Desirable knowledge, experience and qualifications:

î  Experience of delivering different forms of advocacy (instructed and non-instructed; IMHA, ICAA, IMCA, IHCA,) within a statutory advocacy service.

î  Knowledge of the Mental Health Act / Mental Capacity Act / Care Act and other statutory legislation as it applies to advocacy.

î  Knowledge of mental health sections and social care services, including current issues in policy and practice.

As Digital Marketing Manager, you will lead FareShare's digital marketing function, and will deliver ambitious, insight-driven initiatives that drive engagement, grow audiences and maximise impact.

You will be responsible for setting the direction for all digital campaigns including across paid media, organic content, email journeys, SEO, and analytics. You will manage a small team of two and work closely with colleagues from across the organisation.

Core responsibilities will include:

• Digital strategy and performance, including the development and implementation of integrated campaigns across social, search, email and web; and of setting and monitoring KPIs for engagement, traffic and conversion as well as tracking channel and campaign performance
• Social media and content, including management of all organic and paid social activity. You'll be responsible for content calendars, copy, creative direction and reporting as well as leading the development of engaging digital content for the website and identifying new opportunities to grow engagement, reach and help meet policy goals
• Overseeing email marketing and audience journeys, including of the strategy and delivery of all email activities targeting supporters and stakeholders. You'll work with your team to develop segmentation strategies, automated journeys, and A/B testing plans to improve performance, and ensure GDPR compliance and supporter-centric communication
• Digital advertising, including leading all digital advertising activity, including Google Ads, Meta, and LinkedIn
• Website and UX, including monitoring user behaviour and propose data-led improvements to web structure and content
• Network and internal support, including supporting the digital capacity of FareShare's network partners through the provision of toolkits, templates, and training; and by championing digital marketing across the organisation, collaborating across teams

This role has responsibility for developing and delivering work related learning activities for young people with the aim of enhancing their skills and understanding of future career opportunities and transitioning into apprenticeships.

All delivery is aimed towards enabling young people to learn about apprenticeship opportunities and how to position themselves to apply and move into employment as an apprentice. You will work closely with young people, employers and business volunteers to deliver fun, engaging and labour market-relevant careers related support and workshops to young people in both online and in-person formats. You will have the chance to be creative through planning, delivering and evaluating the programme to ensure services are current and meet the stakeholder needs.

Key responsibilities of this role include:

• Managing development, delivery and coordination of work related learning activities for phase 2 of the Early Connect programme.
• Accountable for achieving agreed outcomes, outputs and personal targets including recruitment, employability training and learner progression targets.
• Managing a caseload of participants requiring Information, Advice & Guidance (IAG), confidence building and employability training.
• Accurately managing data and reporting requirements of funders of the Early Connect programme.

We are looking for a high-calibre candidate to take on the role of Regional Operations Manager for our centres in South London (Walworth, Kennington and Brixton) along with our centres in Southampton and Brighton.

As a Regional Operations Manager you will line manage the Centre Leaders in your region to ensure that centres are working effectively, that the high quality of programme delivery to young people is maintained across the cluster, and that targets are monitored and met. 

And of course, you will need to have a genuine passion and enthusiasm for working with young people and helping them achieve their ambitions.

We are a delivery organisation providing frontline educational services for young people. The post holder will work closely with the Head of Education and Development to support the delivery of BASHH’s broad programme of education and training. They will be responsible for the day-to-day administration of the STI Foundation and will provide executive support for the STI Foundation Steering Group and BASHH’s Education Committee.

About the Role

MSI seeks a Global Programme & Philanthropy Manager for the WISH2 WACA programme. As part of the project management team, the  Global Programme & Philanthropy Manager (GPPM)  will contribute to the fulfilment of an MSI-led consortium’s mission, taking responsibility for the management of sub-contracts for a number of consortium partners, supporting them to deliver their commitments under the project (including payment by results KPIs), ensuring adherence to donor compliance standards, and the delivery of internal commitments under the project by MSI’s Global Support Office.  In addition, the GPPM will lead project management support for a portfolio of MSI country programmes, working closely with MSI’s Africa team, and WISH2 Country Project Leads supporting consortium KPI monitoring, risk management, work-planning and monitoring. 

In addition, s/he will lead on key pieces of work under the project results verification and learning component that the Evidence & Learning Partner (E&L) has responsibility for, coordinating technical inputs across key thematic areas (e.g. advocacy, social norms, disability inclusion etc…), interacting with technical leadership from within the project, coordinating Technical Working Groups and providing technical leadership where appropriate. 

The role will be based either in London or Dakar.

The Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) brings together 15 leading UK aid charities to raise funds quickly and efficiently at times of humanitarian crisis overseas. This role will require you to lead on organic social media as part of the DEC Communications team, working closely with the Digital and Innovation team in Fundraising, collaborate with social leads across our 15 member charities and public figures through our talent agency. During appeal launch periods it will also involve managing a small social media team of volunteers.

All roles at the DEC are based in our London office. We operate a hybrid working model, with some non-negotiable office attendance. Please note, during the two-week appeal launch period, staff are required to work extremely long hours, in a faced-paced busy environment, with mandatory office attendance.
