Role Overview

We are seeking a mission-driven senior leader to shape and deliver our work supporting young people across the UK.

As Head of Programme – Young People, you will shape and drive the Foundation’s grant-making strategy in support of young people, ensuring our funding delivers systemic change and champions youth-led approaches. You will lead the Youth Fund and related initiatives, setting direction, overseeing grant-making, and influencing practice across the youth sector.

As Head of Programme – Young People, you will lead the strategic development, direction and delivery of the Foundation’s Youth Fund and related initiatives. You will oversee grant-making, champion youth-led practice, and influence sector-wide learning and collaboration.

Reporting to the Director of Grants, you will have direct responsibility for a high-performing team composed of two Grants Managers and one Grants Assistant. You will oversee the strategic development and delivery of the Youth Fund and Follow-on Fund, ensuring alignment with the Foundation’s priorities and best practices in youth-focused grant-making.

You will work closely with funded organisations, trustees, advisors, and sector partners to strengthen their impact, embed learning, and ensure our funding supports long-term systemic change.

About You

We’re looking for a strategic, values-led leader with:

• Significant experience in the youth, charity or civil society sector, with a strong understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing young people.
• Deep knowledge of youth policy and practice, and the ability to translate that insight into impactful funding and support for organisations.

Severndroog Castle is a much-loved Grade II* listed historic site, saved by the community and now run by a passionate charity committed to heritage, learning, and local engagement. We are looking for an enthusiastic and people-focused Community and Volunteer Engagement Manager to join our small team and help shape the Castle’s future.

This role is one of two complementary part-time positions forming a collaborative partnership model. You will work closely with the Site and Operations Manager to ensure a joined-up, positive experience for visitors, volunteers, and community partners.

Role Summary

As Communications & Operations Officer, you will strengthen how Acumen Academy UK communicates and delivers its mission - supporting bold social leaders and amplifying their stories of change.

Your focus will be on communications: creating and sharing campaigns that tell the story of our Fellows, programmes, and partnerships. Alongside this, you will play a key operations support role, ensuring the smooth running of our programmes, events, and participant communications.

Working closely with the UK Director, Senior Programme Manager, and Acumen Academy’s global marketing team, you’ll help shape how we reach new audiences, engage our growing community, and turn insights into action - while developing your own professional skills and networks.

This role is a full-time role and has a salary of £25,000 to £28,000 per year (depending on experience).

Key Responsibilities

Communications

• Design and deliver digital campaigns, newsletters, and social media that amplify the work and impact of UK Fellows

• Write and edit engaging content for blogs, reports, and events that tell the story of our community and partners

• Collaborate with Acumen Academy’s global marketing team to align messaging, share content, and contribute to global storytelling initiatives

• Track and evaluate engagement data to inform strategy and improve communications performance

• Create visual assets (using Canva or Adobe Creative Cloud) that are on-brand, accessible, and inspiring

Operations

• Coordinate event logistics, participant communications, and cohort updates to support smooth programme delivery

• Manage systems such as Airtable, GDrive, and Microsoft Excel for data tracking and reporting

• Support data collection and impact reporting for projects and funders

• Contribute to improving internal processes that strengthen the participant and partner experience

Our motorsports engagement strategy, which sits under our global STEM strategy, seeks to accelerate sector-wide change in motorsport within the next three years. As the Senior Impact Manager, Motorsports Engagement, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining strategic relationships with motorsports employers to support young people from underrepresented backgrounds into early career opportunities. Working closely with Formula 1 and its teams, as well as a broader network of STEM-related organisations across the UK, US, and Brazil, you will lead collaboration efforts to influence inclusive recruitment and retention practices in motorsports, and enhance career access and progression. With a strong external focus, you will also support Mission 44’s fundraising goals, representing the organisation at high-profile events, stewarding key corporate accounts, and helping secure investment in our programmes and mission.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

DELIVERY OF MOTORSPORTS ENGAGEMENT STRATEGY (70%)

• Play a key role in the development and execution of Mission 44’s new Motorsports strategy, to create access opportunities for young people from underrepresented backgrounds within STEM sectors, particularly motorsports.

• Build trusted relationships with key motorsport employers and stakeholders, including F1, F1 teams, FIA, and relevant STEM employers, to drive sector-wide change, focusing on increasing demand for underrepresented talent, adoption of inclusive recruitment practices, and awareness of Mission 44’s work and impact.

• Apply and continually improve the convening strategy and toolkits to Mission 44’s STEM work, helping determine when and how convening can most effectively support our goal of inspiring and supporting young people (aged 14–30) in the UK and US to access careers in STEM and motorsport.

• Collaborate with the Engagement Directorate, nonprofit partners and corporates to design and deliver high-impact STEM career experiences at Formula 1 races and other key events - some of which will be international - ensuring alignment with Mission 44’s objectives and offering young people meaningful exposure to career pathways.

EXTERNAL REPRESENTATION AND ENGAGEMENT (20%)

• Represent Mission 44 at Motorsport industry events, donor meetings, clearly articulating our global mission and impact with tailored messaging for each audience.

• Support cultivation and stewardship efforts as requested by the Engagement Directorate, engaging prospective donors and prioritising meetings that deliver the greatest strategic value.

• Advocate for Mission 44 at high-profile events and stakeholder meetings, championing greater industry engagement and driving impact.

• Support our storytelling and communications efforts to highlight success and progress while spotlighting challenges to potentially shape future advocacy.

MONITORING AND LEARNING (10%)

• Support the Head of Impact, STEM Pathways and the Head of Strategy and Learning to collect key impact data.

• Contribute to evaluation processes, seek and develop opportunities to raise awareness of Mission 44’s work to create early career pathways for young people.

• Assist with annual reporting and provide input into fundraising and communications materials where relevant.

Records Manager & Archivist

The duties within this unique role will be shared across the main London offices of the Methodist Church in Britain and United Reformed Church. The successful candidate will be a suitably qualified and experienced records and archives management professional, who is confident to work across our different sites and systems. You will be a knowledgeable manager of analogue and digital records and archives.  Some familiarity with Church structures and record keeping would be an advantage.

You will need to be able to advise the staff teams for both Churches on records management strategy and practice and support them in the implementation of electronic records management systems (ERMS). You will also be able to undertake collections management tasks such as appraisal, condition assessments, basic cleaning and re-packaging and cataloguing.

You will need to be able to liaise effectively with the archive services where our collections are deposited, and work with our voluntary heritage committees and archival advisers. You will be encouraged to appoint and manage volunteers to build capacity around this work.

The Methodist Church has records from the early 18th century onwards. Its governance records (estimated at c4m items) are deposited in the John Rylands Research Institute & Library, University of Manchester, and its missionary collections in the SOAS Library, University of London.  Records of the Church at a local level are deposited with local authority archive services.  There are also five ‘community archives’ managed by volunteer editors. 

The United Reformed Church was established in 1972, with its roots in the Presbyterian and Congregational Churches. The search for a new location for the centralised deposit and permanent preservation of URC records is a key objective for this post-holder, along with developing and supporting the management of current administrative records. 

Both organisations maintain offsite record storage and occasional travel to them will be a necessary part of this role.

In2research is a high impact and evidence informed social mobility programme for socioeconomically disadvantaged people to access and progress in postgraduate study. Our mission is to drive sector change across institutions towards an inclusive research culture. We strongly believe that it is not enough to guide underrepresented people into postgraduate study, but to ensure that the culture they are entering is inclusive and a place where they can thrive. Over a year, we support participants to gain vital access to both knowledge and opportunities including a paid 8-week research placement and subject specific mentoring.

We’re building a Transport Solutions Team that works flexibly across all the tools in our delivery kit – from grants and innovation pilots to research, partnerships, and commercial interventions. Our growing portfolio includes flagship projects tackling challenges such as inclusive EV charging infrastructure, complex community transport needs, and large-scale research like the National Centre for Accessible Transport.

We are now recruiting for three Transport Solutions Managers, one permanent position and two 24 month fixed-term contracts. These roles will lead the design and delivery of high-impact work focused primarily on accessible electric vehicle (EV) charging – a key priority for the Foundation. This is a pivotal role that combines technical understanding, programme delivery, and stakeholder leadership, and is designed to work flexibly across our matrix structure.

While your core focus will be on EV charging, you also may be expected to lead and/or contribute to other transport projects across the transport themes.

In Spring 2028, the National Gallery will launch a new, public-facing Research Centre to facilitate and showcase our world-leading research in the history and science of painting.
