Responsibilities of our National Media Manager:
- leading and managing the national media team, including three National Media Officers
- designing and delivering a pipeline of proactive and reactive PR activity for national media
- maintain and manage the Media Relations budget
- work closely with the Regional Media Manager to identify areas of growth in our media profile
- ensure all national releases are well written and within brand and strategy
- oversee the running of campaigns and the management of PR agencies and freelancers
- identify gaps within Cats Protection’s media relations and build relationships with diverse media
- oversee the management of reputational issues
About the Media team:
Our media teams are responsible for securing proactive and reactive press coverage for Cats Protection, ensuring more people are aware of our work through earned media. Our team protects and enhances the charity’s reputation. The team works across cat welfare, services, advocacy, campaigns, and income generation.
What we’re looking for in our National Media Manager:
- experience line managing a press office team
- relevant qualification in PR or journalism
- experience in crisis management and reputational issues

- experience working with national media contacts including news agencies

Job description
This is an exciting opportunity to be at the heart of the Charity operations. This role will help to continue to transform the way the Charity uses data to make decisions. As data is at the heart of our organisational strategy for our next phase, you will play a big role in making an impact through this role. You will ensure the correct systems, processes and training are in place for gathering, storing, processing, analysing and reporting on data.
· Primarily the postholder will be responsible for: the delivery of dashboards, KPI reports, analysis and insights to the organisation to drive organisational strategic decisions.
· The effective and smooth management and upkeep of our database (MS Dynamics) as well as the organisation’s use of our database ensuring data is accurate and able to be used efficiently by the organisation.
The role involves understanding different systems and processes, and working with data challenges. You must be able to keep the end user in mind in your decisions, as the community is at the heart of all we do.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
· Analysis and reporting
o Lead on the delivery of dashboards, KPI reports, analysis and insights to the organisation to drive organisational decisions and demonstrate our impact.
o Identify trends within our database to inform our activities to drive engagement of our community and the loyalty and retention of our supporters.
o Run regular reports to communicate our database reach and scope, including using Power BI for data visualisation.
o Build and run regular activity reports, post-campaign reports and in-depth analytical reports to provide data-driven insight into supporter behaviour, using CRM, Excel and other relevant tools.
· Campaign management and data selection support
o Support fundraising team and community engagement teams with their data selections for email, mail shots, webinars, survey distribution and any other communication to members or supporters. Work with colleagues to understand their data needs, then schedule and project manage all data selections and segmentation.
o Work to ensure smooth data management from start to finish of campaigns.
· Data and database lead
o Lead on all data activity for the Charity, being responsible for the integrity of our data and adherence to protocols.
o Identify developments needed to the MS Dynamics database system to help the organisation achieve its goals.
o Ensure our database serves as a single customer view by connecting data through automations (supporting our external database provider).
o Build supportive relationships with colleagues to ensure their data needs are fully understood and met, including ensuring the right data is available for email selections (Dot Digital).
o Provide training and support to staff so they are able to confidently use the database as relevant to their roles.
o Creating and/or improving data-related policies and processes.
o Assist in the diagnosis of data and database problems and research solutions.
· Compliant use of data
o Ensure data processes are within relevant legislation, including GDPR and other data protection legislation.
· Data integrity and quality
o Advise and accurately maintain all data protocols and ensure that all data activity is promptly scheduled and actioned.
o Ensure regular ‘house-keeping’ functions to ensure that standard data is maintained at a high level.
o Ensure individual entries and bulk uploads and imports from website and Excel spreadsheets are performed accurately and on time.
· Supplier management
o Work with 3rd party suppliers to help scope and deliver database changes and perform UAT.
· Customer support processes
o Work with colleagues to ensure all supporter enquiries and interactions are dealt with promptly and efficiently – such as FAQ’s, responses etc.
· Line management
o Management of the Digital and Database Administrator, ensuring they are able to perform their role effectively.

As a Community Fundraising Manager for Dementia UK you will collaborate with the Senior Community Fundraising Manager to support and implement a fundraising strategy to develop the annual community fundraising budget. The on-call phone remains active 7 days a week, and you will ensure timely and appropriate responses to calls during your designated shifts.

JOB PURPOSE
Start Network is looking for an experienced grant management professional with strong financial acumen, a strategic mindset and the ability to influence a variety of senior stakeholders and establish new systems and ways of working. This role is critical to future proofing our grant management function and enables us to set up the right systems and processes for us to manage multiple 7-8 figure grants from a wide variety of donors, while also helping us identify what would be needed to manage a lager portfolio of complex grants in the future.
The Grants Manager will contribute to the impact and accountability of our work by ensuring transparent, compliant and accountable management and control of funds awarded to Start Network by a variety of institutional donors, trusts and foundations, and corporates, plus potentially other donors in the future. Based in the Grant Management team under the Finance Directorate while acting as a ‘business partner’ to the teams across the organisation this role will be responsible for leading the full grant cycle of large-scale awards, working closely with Resource Mobilisation, Operations, and Programmes functions, as well as project teams across Start Network’s global membership.
This position requires strategic vision, gravitas, strong communication skills, extensive grant management experience and a desire to shape and lead new ways of working in an innovative humanitarian organisation, as well as a high level of technical grant knowledge and the ability to manage budgets, navigate finance systems, and build financial reports from scratch.

Reading Community Learning Centre is a passionate, women-centred independent charity which provides education and support for migrant, refugee and asylum- seeking women from minority ethnic communities who may be unable to access more mainstream services because of the educational, social or cultural barriers they face.

An exciting opportunity exists to support a growing fundraising programme at one of London’s strongest independent schools. Reporting to the Director of Development & Alumni Relations, this Development Manager will expand upon our efforts in regular giving, legacy giving and stewardship. This includes managing our fundraising appeals, piloting new fundraising efforts, and producing events and communications for current and future donors. All of this will advance our priority of growing the Colfe’s Charitable Trust’s endowment to support even more 100% bursaries for our Sixth Form pupils.
The last few years have been our office’s most exciting: donations have helped grow the endowment to £2.7M, and many of our bequest intenders have revealed the total value of their legacies will be nearly £2M. Further, our Governors have just appointed Dan Gabriele, Deputy Principal of Caterham School, as the new Head of Colfe’s. He will take up this post in September, and our office will be key in advancing his vision. An essential part of this small but busy team, this is the perfect job for someone already in fundraising and looking to advance their career. The successful candidate will be highly organized and adaptable, have a strong attention to detail and be willing to pitch in as needed. A background in Development and experience with Raiser’s Edge will be necessary. Given our office’s success, opportunities may arise to work alongside new hires to help ease workload.
The School
Colfe’s is one of London’s oldest schools, taking its name from Reverend Abraham Colfe, Vicar of Lewisham, who founded the school in 1652. In his will, he entrusted the School to the Leathersellers’ Livery Company, which governs the school today. A former grammar school, Colfe’s has been a fully co-educational day school for 20 years with nearly 1300 pupils in all from ages 3 to 18. Colfe’s is not a stuffy school, but a happy place with a deep feeling of community among its students, parents, staff and alumni. This provides a terrific platform for this position to thrive upon.
Fundraising Priority
Every year, up to 12 pupils from non-privileged backgrounds at local state schools are awarded 100% bursaries to join our Sixth Form. Named our Leatherseller Scholars, these pupils are academically bright but often qualify for free school meals, and many have no access to a sixth form in their current schools. The Leathersellers’ Company launched this programme in 2009, and today, their grants are combined with donations to the Colfe’s Charitable Trust. However, awarding even more bursaries is urgent and essential. Applications for these awards are extremely high, and this demand now outpaces what we can provide in support. We must expand our fundraising efforts so that Colfe’s can support even more deserving pupils.

We have been operating in North London for over 10 years from a small stable, after our lease sadly came to an end in January 2023 we moved to our long term home. This was a derelict stable owned by the Council which we have secured via a 25 year lease. In 2022-23 we raised £300,000 to get the site usable as an equine therapy centre although it is still very run down with much of it boarded up a derelict. We now have full planning permission to develop the site and build a purpose-built equine therapy centre which will allow us to double the number of young people who access the space.

ABOUT THE ROLE:
To make this dream a reality we are looking for an experienced Capital Fundraising Manager to lead the Capital fundraising campaign for this project to raise £700,000 over 2 years in order to fund this build.
The hope is to raise £350,000 in year one in order to fund half of the build (stage 1) with the remaining funding being secured in the 2nd year to complete the build in year 2. We have a strong track record of fundraising including recently securing 5 years core costs funding from the National Lottery Community Fund and we have warm relationships that we can call on once this fundraising campaign gets activated.

ReachOut is a national youth development charity and a strategic partner for schools. Through collective mentoring and engaging activities, we build socio-emotional skills that transform outcomes for young people constrained by circumstance.
The Curriculum, Quality and Training Manager is responsible for designing engaging & inspiring session resources, recruiting & training the adults that enable our young people to develop and managing a programme of robust and ongoing quality assurance. This will include line managing our Volunteer Officers, working closely with the Programmes and Impact Manager to make evidence informed decisions and collaborating across the organisation to meet our strategic aims.
