ROLE OVERVIEW

The role involves monitoring the financial administration of the charity and reporting to the Board at regular intervals on its state of financial health. The Treasurer will assist the team in setting AzuKo’s strategy, support AzuKo’s staff and ensure all financial affairs are legal, constitutional and within accepted accounting practice.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure there is financial stability with effective and efficient administration

• Monitor and report on the financial health of the charity (balance sheet, cash flow, fundraising performance etc) at Trustee meetings

• Prepare and process payroll for employees

• Oversee production of financial reports / returns, accounts and audits

• Ensure proper records are kept and effective financial procedures are in place

• Participate in other tasks as arise from time to time, such as interviewing new Trustees, helping with fundraising events

• Act as an ambassador for our cause and for AzuKo

QUALITIES

About the role:

As the Technical Systems & Platform Liaison, you will act as the bridge between the CIC’s technical teams, leadership, and community members. This is a hands-on, multi-faceted role combining strategic coordination, operational oversight, and community engagement, providing you with unique experience in systems management and collaborative leadership.

Experience Qualification and Requirements

Our innovative work programme focusses on the purchase of land and the creation of allotments. Chatterbox Befrienders offer one-to-one telephone support and will call a client once a week offering companionship and a listening ear for an individual who might otherwise go unheard. Chatterbox volunteers befriend a variety of people including carers, socially isolated individuals who are struggling with loneliness, people with ill health and those that 
have been bereaved. 

THIS ROLE COULD BE FOR YOU IF:

- Ensuring immediate contact with the Chatterbox Coordinators if you feel that the client might be a risk to themselves or others

- Liaising with the Chatterbox Coordinator on a regular basis regarding the service, as well as discussing personal learning and development needs

- Respecting service standards, appropriate boundaries and recognising the range of policies and procedures that impact on befriending vulnerable adults

As a Teaching Quality Assessor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality Islamic essentials education across universities in the UK. This volunteer will assess the teaching quality of Roots Essentials courses, providing feedback and recommendations to support continuous improvement. The role supports the team’s goal of maintaining high educational standards and providing an enriching learning experience for university students.

Key tasks

▪ Observation and Assessment: Observe classes (in-person or virtually) and assess the teaching quality, content delivery, and student engagement based on established criteria.

Role Description

The Press/Media Manager will work closely with the Communication Officer to lead on the Pagan Federation's media strategy. You will act as a primary point of contact for journalists, broadcasters, and media outlets working to promote positive coverage of Paganism and to respond appropriately to media interest, engaging in both proactive and reactive.

You will develop and oversee press strategies, prepare statements and press releases, brief spokespersons, and assist the organisation in sensitive communications where required. As this is a council-level role within the Pagan Federation you will be expected to provide regular reports to the Communications Officer and the Council of the Pagan Federation.

This is a voluntary role, and volunteers are expected to work remotely. We have volunteers working across England and Wales. Some travel may be necessary, reasonable expenses will be covered in line with our expenses policy.

• At least two years experience in the field of Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or similar. (Essential)
