Income from donations from wills makes up approximately a third of our charity’s annual income. This new role will provide our charity with a dedicated member of staff to grow and develop income from this stream; strengthening relationships with pledgers, future pledgers and solicitors and other will writing service providers. The post holder will also coordinate marketing activities to promote this form of giving.

Overview of the Legacy Administrator role and the team
Barnabas Aid is looking for a detail-oriented and organised Legacy Administrator to join our International Support function within the Finance team. The Legacy Administrator will be responsible for managing all administrative aspects of legacy and will-related processes, ensuring the smooth and efficient handling of gifts received through bequests, wills, and estates. This role requires close attention to detail, accurate record-keeping, and a sensitive approach to working with legacy supporters and their families.
Working closely with the International Finance Director, the Legacy Administrator will be a key point of contact for all legacy-related matters, providing crucial support to the organisation’s legacy income and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Legacy Manager (Maternity Cover)
Role Summary:
As part of the Major Gifts and Planned Giving team, this role is responsible for managing a caseload of approximately 80 legacy estates, including pecuniary, specific, residuary and life interest estates. - Administer legacies in a professional and approachable manner, to include correspondence with solicitors and other interested parties
- Maintain departmental information, files, and records related to legacy estates
- Act as the point of contact and grow and mature relationships with stakeholders and external groups in order to attain information needed to carry out the role
- Work with various stakeholders on contested legacies, collaborating with other charities where needed
- Be able to communicate to supporters how important and desirable legacies are to PETA
- Respond to enquiries and requests for assistance from Augustus Club members and planned-giving prospects
- Document pertinent information about planned-giving members for the purpose of enhancing and building relationships

Legacy Stewardship Manager
Home based, remote working

The Legacy Stewardship Manager will plan and deliver an ambitious new legacy stewardship strategy to bring about growth in future legacy income. It will diversify the current legacy stewardship programme to convert more legacy prospects and maintain more pledgers using a combination of relationship and mass fundraising activities. It will be responsible for planning and delivering high quality communications and experiences which make supporters feel inspired, valued and deepen relationships with them over the long-term.
This role is critical in growing future legacy income for RNID, which currently represents 72% of RNID’s income. It will play a pivotal role in a Legacy Fundraising Team of four people, reporting into the Head of Legacies, working alongside the Legacy Marketing Manager and line managing the Gifts in Wills Specialist Officer.
This role is a new addition to a growing team in an organisation where legacy fundraising has a high profile. It is an ideal next step for an experienced and confident legacy fundraiser wanting to make their mark by growing the legacy stewardship programme to a new ambitious level that matches an increased investment in legacy acquisition.
You’re an experienced and ambitious legacy fundraiser with the ability to think strategically as well as deliver a full and varied programme of operational activity. You’re ready to apply your previous experience, success and ideas to shape and grow RNID’s legacy stewardship programme to its full potential. · Overseeing all one-to-one interactions with legacy prospects and supporters, either directly or through senior colleagues such as RNID’s Chief Executive.
· Educating and training colleagues to confidently support legacy fundraising activities.
· Line managing and developing the Gifts in Wills Relationship Officer.
· Working with the Head of Legacies, contributing to annual operational planning, budget setting, phasing, reforecasting and contingency planning.

About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Local Groups, Community and Legacy Engagement Officer to join our Supporter Experience Team in London. This role is responsible for supporting the charity's local groups and community fundraisers around the UK in raising funds and awareness of the work of Freedom from Torture. The role also supports on the delivery and growth of the charity's challenge events programme and other community fundraising initiatives and works with the line manager to steward legacy pledgers and prospects.
About you
You will have a good understanding and experience of community and events fundraising in the voluntary sector, supporting and inspiring volunteers to achieve agreed goals and have excellent relationship management skills and high level customer service / donor care skills. Having a high level of written and verbal communication skills as well as excellent administrative skills are key to this role. A basic understanding of fundraising practices and an in depth understanding of grass roots activism is required.

We are looking for a dedicated Legacy Case Executive to lead on all operational aspects of legacy administration and case management. In this vital role, you’ll ensure legacy gifts are processed efficiently and accurately, securing the best possible financial outcomes for the charity whilst safeguarding our reputation. Working closely with colleagues in Finance and Legal, you’ll help to maintain a robust and reliable income stream that directly supports our life-saving work across communities.
About You
- Demonstrable experience within a related role in Charity Legacy or Estate Administration
- Demonstrable experience of using databases such as Dynamics 365 and Microsoft applications
- Evidence of effective relationship management with a range of external stakeholders including solicitors, lay executors and auditors
- Experienced user of First Class
About the Role
- Manage and maximise legacy income by overseeing cases, monitoring legal/admin costs, and ensuring compliance with policy and best practice.
- Act as the main point of contact for solicitors, executors, supporters, and third-party suppliers to maintain strong relationships and communication.
- Lead on complex and high-value cases, offering expert advice on probate, tax, and legal matters while escalating as needed.
- Maintain accurate records and reporting, working with Finance and Database teams to ensure audit compliance and effective forecasting.
- Drive continuous improvement by updating legacy processes, advising on policy changes, and supporting recognition programmes for legacy donors.

This a flexible home-based role, which will require travelling around your division meeting with legal professionals.
What will I be doing?
Identifying, developing, and managing relationships with solicitors and will writing firms.
Being responsible for delivering a seamless end to end supporter journey for the professional audience, through outstanding relationship management
Using data to make value insights about our partners performance, making recommendations for improvement and exploring opportunities for building and deepening partnerships
Being responsible for delivering regional activity for Legal Professionals, including regular partnership review meetings and CPD events
Supporting the wider team in the development of the Legacy Professional Partnership strategy.

We’re recruiting our first Senior Legacy and In Memory Executive, to join our high performing Fundraising team at Refuge. You’ll work collaboratively with the Legacy and In Memory Manager to develop and grow the legacy and in memory programme, helping shape our strategy to recruit, engage and steward legacy pledgers and in memory donors. Managing and delivering a range of campaigns across multiple communication channels including email, social and print, you’ll help develop and deliver engaging communications to maximise lifetime value. Using an agile, test and learn approach, you’ll work closely with other teams, including our Digital, CRM and Supporter Care teams.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a similar role, having delivered successful campaigns to recruit and retain legacy and in memory supporters. As well as delivering campaigns at scale you will also be comfortable with speaking to supporters on a one-to-one basis. You’ll be highly organised and be able to proactively manage multiple projects simultaneously. You will also be confident in reviewing and analysing campaign performance and making recommendations for future performance. Finally, you’ll be passionate, committed and care about the work Refuge undertakes.
