The Role
As our Fundraising Manager, you will be the driving force behind developing, launching, and delivering a dynamic fundraising strategy to secure significant and sustainable support for the Waqf Fund.
Your role will combine strategic thinking with hands-on delivery from engaging high-net-worth donors and institutional funders, to inspiring grassroots giving from communities who believe in the transformative power of education.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategy & Planning – Develop and implement a multi-year fundraising strategy aligned with the Fund’s mission and values.
- Major Donor Engagement – Identify, cultivate, and steward high-value donors and partners, building long-term, trust-based relationships.
- Community Fundraising – Mobilise grassroots support across the UK Muslim community, creating campaigns that inspire giving at every level.
- Institutional Funding – Explore and secure grants, sponsorships, and partnerships from trusts, foundations, and corporate supporters.
- Events & Campaigns – Design and deliver fundraising events, both in-person and digital, that engage and inspire.
- Waqf Awareness – Champion and educate donors on the concept of Waqf as a sustainable, faith-driven model for impact.
- Impact Reporting – Work with the leadership team to demonstrate the difference donor support is making, through compelling storytelling and data.
About You
We’re looking for someone with a rare combination of heart and hustle. You will:
- Have a proven track record in fundraising, business development, or sales, ideally in the charity or education sector.
- Understand the values and motivations of Muslim donors, with sensitivity to cultural and faith contexts.
- Be a confident communicator, able to inspire at a boardroom table and from the mosque pulpit.
- Have experience in building a fundraising function from scratch (preferred but not essential).
- Be highly organised, results-driven, and not afraid to roll up your sleeves.
- Share our vision for transforming education and believe deeply in the power of giving for lasting change.

What you will be doing
This is a strategic and creative role at the heart of Hearing Dogs for Deaf People’s national fundraising and engagement efforts. The post holder will lead the development and delivery of national community and challenge event programmes across all four UK regions (England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland).
Using strong project and campaign management skills, the role will grow existing initiatives charity owned initiatives such as the Great British Dog Walk and the 28 Challenge and develop new, audience-led campaigns that inspire public participation, drive fundraising, and deepen long-term engagement with the charity.
In addition to the owned initiatives, the role will promote Hearing Dogs for Deaf People to participants of external national events such as The Great North Run or the London Marathon.
The ultimate objectives are to drive income generation and guide supporters from initial involvement to becoming volunteers for the broader work of the charity and legacy pledgers.
Desired candidate
- Proactive and confident self-starter with proven experience in campaign management, digital fundraising, and audience engagement.
- Strong understanding of social media tools, digital platforms, and challenge event management (e.g. Fundraising).
- Excellent project management and cross-team collaboration skills.
- Ability to develop creative propositions and media plans based on audience insight.
- Comfortable working in a hybrid environment with occasional travel to events and HQ.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills coupled with an enthusiastic and positive approach.

We are delighted to be working in partnership with a much loved national Charity to recruit them a Relationship Manager to cover the South Coast - Kent, Southampton, Dorset, Hampshire and Sussex.
About the role
You will be joining a friendly and face paced fundraising team to identify, support and retain regional supporters. You will be responsible for
* Driving engagement across your region (and beyond) to proactively identify, support, and retain supporters.
* Working with the wider Regional Fundraising Team and collaborate on relationships that might be across the UK
*You'll be generating a strong network of community and corporate supporters to secure sustainable income for the charity. You'll also be building a pipeline of prospects of community and corporate to ensure future support.
About you
To be successful in this role you must have
*Demonstrable knowledge of what it takes to proactively identify, develop, and cultivate supporters to maximise income and deliver against KPIs, objectives and the Community Team business plan.
*A good knowledge of the fundraising landscape and opportunities in the UK
*Experience of building and account managing/stewarding a personal portfolio of high value supporters & corporate partners, volunteers and in aid of events to achieve your financial target.
