The Membership Engagement Officers (MEOs) are actively engaged within their areas, meeting Branch members, supporting their activities and building a stronger membership fit for the next 100 years.

 The Membership Engagement Officer (MEO) is a key role which inspires and engages our membership to be active and fulfil their role and purpose while remaining compliant with the Legion’s Membership handbook and policies. Every day will be different as this role will see you responding to the needs of the individual county of responsibility. It is a challenging and exciting post where no two days will be the same.
 
 You will provide organisational support, advice and information to our members, and work closely with County Committees, the membership central team staff and other departments.  This a varied role which covers a range of duties from connecting and building relationships with Branches to compliance oversight and responding to membership queries.

 The successful individual is not permitted to hold a membership officer role in their designated area of work and must hold a full UK driving licence.

We’re looking for a proactive and professional Events and Administration Officer to play a central role in the delivery of our events programme and in keeping our busy office running smoothly. What you’ll be doing

As our Events and Admin Officer, you’ll be at the heart of our operations. Your responsibilities will include:

• Events: Helping to plan and deliver a wide range of events – from breakfast briefings and online panel discussions to gala dinners – ensuring every detail runs smoothly. This will include liaising with suppliers, venues, speakers, and sponsors; coordinating catering and logistics; supporting event promotion; and overseeing attendee communications and requirements.
• CRM & Data: Acting as a Hubspot ‘super-user’, ensuring our CRM is effectively maintained to manage stakeholders, track engagement, and support compliance.
• Meetings: Coordinating internal and external meetings, including diary management for the senior team and producing accurate records.
• Enquiries: Serving as the first point of contact for shared inboxes, responding and redirecting queries efficiently.
• Office & Admin: Supporting office operations, liaising with landlords and suppliers, assisting with finance queries, and ensuring our day-to-day administration runs seamlessly.
• Projects: Assisting with proposition development and project delivery, keeping accurate records and chasing actions.
• General: Providing all-round support to ensure the smooth running of the organisation.

What we’re looking for

We’re seeking someone who is:

• Educated to at least A-Level (or equivalent) with an administrative or operational focus.
• Professional, approachable, and confident in communicating with people at all levels.
• Experienced in event management and administration.
• Skilled in budget tracking, on-the-day event management, and post-event reporting.
• Organised, with excellent attention to detail and strong time-management skills.
• Competent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experienced with CRM and e-marketing platforms (ideally Hubspot).
• Proactive, adaptable, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Aligned with our collaborative culture and values.

It would be great if you also bring:

• Familiarity with platforms like Zoom, Eventbrite, and Ticket Tailor.

The West Midlands Synod of the United Reformed Church (based in Yardley), is looking for an individual to provide technical expertise on buildings and property in support of Synod Officers, members of Synod Committees and local churches.

The Eve Appeal is the UK's leading gynaecological cancer charity. Our aim is to prevent gynae cancers from developing in the first place, but if they do develop, we want to make sure they’re detected early so more people survive their diagnosis.

Alongside these skills we are looking for an inspirational and entrepreneurial leader who can galvanise and optimise the performance of our team and dedicated volunteers, ensuring the effective delivery of our programmes. You will be someone who can think strategically but is not afraid to roll their sleeves up and has an energetic, positive and can-do approach. To be successful you will also be adept at managing a range of stakeholders and be credible and inspiring as an ambassador, equipped with excellent communication and influencing skills to promote TimeGivers.

Coventry Women’s Partnership (CWP) is looking for a Policy, Voice, and Influence Lead to support our 2-year place-based systems change programme, funded by the Smallwood Trust. The programme aims to reduce gendered poverty in Coventry by tackling the systemic barriers faced in securing a safe home. This work will focus on understanding and transforming housing systems. Seeking to and improve outcomes for women experiencing homelessness, housing insecurity, and multiple disadvantage.

CWP is partnership made up of Central England Law Centre, Coventry Haven Women’s Aid, CRASAC, FWT and Kairos. The contract will be with Kairos, but you will provide support across all partners.

· The Policy, Voice and Influence Lead (PVIL) will play a pivotal role in driving forward the Coventry Women’s Partnership’s (CWP) systems change agenda to improve housing and homelessness options for women to reduce gendered poverty.

· You will be confident in taking the lead in this work while remaining in regular communication and collaboration with the partnership.

· You will help us analyse the systems, policies, practices and strategy around housing for women and their impact on poverty and create a delivery programme to influence and collaborate with stakeholders for change.

· Your attitude will be pragmatic and ‘can do’ as you carve a realistic path between confidence and caution when planning projects and delivery.

Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Compliance and Data Protection Officer (DPO) to ensure the College meets its legal and regulatory compliance requirements as an educational establishment and a charity.  The focus of the role is to be responsible, with the support of the Training Administration team, for all reporting to regulatory bodies in a timely manner to ensure the College meets the requirements of the Office for Students (OfS), The Open University (OU), Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA), UK Visas & Immigration (UKVI), UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), Competition and Marketing Authority (CMA) and other regulatory bodies. The postholder will also take on the role of Data Protection Officer (DPO) within the organisation and ensure that the college processes all personal data in compliance with UK data protection legislation.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for reporting internal information and meeting the reporting requirements of regulatory organisations – primarily the Office for Students (OfS), Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA), the Open University (OU), the UK Visas & Immigration (UKVI), Competition and Marketing Authority (CMA) and the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). This will be with the support of the Training Administration team and all other teams within the college.
• Collaborate with senior management and other department heads to ensure compliance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance relating to HR, Health and Safety, Safeguarding, Prevent, Communications and Finance.
• Serve as the point of contact for regulatory bodies and external auditors
• Prepare and submit reports to regulatory agencies and senior management as needed and within required deadlines
• Use external student data systems – such as HESA / Salesforce
• Perform research to remain informed regarding higher educational and other compliance requirements  
• Monitor the College’s compliance and internal policies to ensure they are up to date with relevant legislation, and draft new policies when required.
• Perform risk assessments to identify potential compliance issues and help the organisation understand compliance risk and scope
• Record findings accurately and follow up with senior management to ensure that issues are rectified 
• Conduct investigations to discover the root cause of compliance problems when they arise 
• Develop systems for data collection, tracking, managing and reporting

• As DPO, ensure all personal data and sensitive information is handled within the College according to UK GDPR guidelines
• Draft new and amend existing data protection policies, guidelines, and procedures, in consultation with key stakeholders
• Serve as the main point of contact within the organisation for staff members, regulators, and relevant authorities on issues related to data protection, and provide advice as required.
• Maintain records of all data processing activities within the College
• Conduct audits to ensure compliance and to address potential issues
• Train and advise all staff on compliance and GDPR regulations, how to meet, maintain and improve compliance requirements and the impact of non-compliance on the College. 
• Review College external communication, marketing materials, websites and presentations to ensure compliance with regulations

Qualifications and Skills

Essential

Educated to degree level 

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and ability to promote the college

Strong organisational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines

Ability to multi-task, use initiative and prioritise

Excellent attention to detail with proof-reading skills and decision-making capability

Familiarity with compliance tools and systems

High level IT skills in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint

Ability to interpret complex legal and regulatory documents such as contracts

Meet your Manager

You will be managed by Jamil De Dominicis. Jamil joined ClientEarth in 2019 and is based in London. As Global Head of Grants, he leads the Grants Management team and oversees ClientEarth’s grants income from trusts, foundations and other statutory and institutional funders. Prior to joining ClientEarth, Jamil worked in various policy, research and grant management roles at the international affairs think tank Chatham House and the National Foundation for Youth Music.

Main Duties

• Manage a portfolio of grants from key Trusts, Foundations and statutory funders. Ensure that funders are aware of project performance, and that ClientEarth’s implementation is always in compliance with grant agreements. 
• Develop and produce well researched and comprehensive proposals and reports to existing donors that meet funding priorities and requirements, within the submission deadline and oversee the coordination of Programme, Development and Finance teams as required for effective grant management. 
• Work closely with the Global Head of Grants, Grants Management Lead and wider Development Leadership on budget forecasts and donor pipeline to ensure effective, joined-up cultivation of prospects and income generation. 
• Oversee, review and, as appropriate, sign–off on the work of line managed staff (including reports, proposal, and other written material for internal and external purposes). 
• Support the Global Head of Grants to develop and implement the team’s annual planning and wider fundraising strategy.

Role requirements

• Significant and demonstrable experience of working in a fundraising, grant management or a project management role for a charity, NGO, private or public entity (essential)
• Significant experience of drafting complex proposals for trusts, foundations and statutory institutions and securing multi-year, six and seven-figure grants (essential)
• Experience of successfully managing donor relationships, from cultivation to stewardship encompassing both personal engagement with funders and/or coordinating the input of colleagues from across the organisation (essential)
