Camden Learning is a company limited by guarantee, whose current members are the schools and colleges of Camden. The board comprises both independent non-executives and elected representatives of the member schools. The current Chair, Dame Christine Gilbert, is leaving after eight years following her appointment as Chair of Ofsted. Camden Learning is therefore looking to appoint a new Independent Chair to lead its Board and support the Executive team.

Our education strategy to 2030 – Building Back Stronger – is well underway with many initial successes but there is much more to do. At the heart of this is a clear commitment – not only to excellence, but to excellence alongside equity. About you

We are looking for a proactive and visible finance professional who is able to engage and build relationships across the organisation as a pivotal member within a values-led high performing organisation. You will be a qualified accountant with proven track record of financial management awareness and a solid understanding of charity audits and statutory accounts preparation. You will have the ability to work with staff across the organisation in supporting good financial governance and oversight of financial operational matters. You will have the ability to analyse financial information and present this in a suitable format for the audience. You will have good ability to meet deadlines, be IT literate with an emphasis on financial systems, spreadsheets, Quickbooks and Excel. You will be highly organised with excellent attention to detail and be able to work with minimum supervision.

About the role

The role will involve the management of the day-to-day financial activities, VAT, gift aid, payroll and the monthly, quarterly and annual reconciliations and statutory accounts preparation. The job holder will work closely with the Chief Operating Officer, Finance Officer and volunteers within the team. There will be a requirement to work closely with the income generating staff, budget holders, auditors, banks and credit card providers on a regular basis. The Finance Manager will be responsible for managing the Finance Officer and Finance volunteer.

About Women in Prison

Women in Prison is a national, women-led, feminist organisation.  We deliver front line support to women harmed by the criminal justice system, through our work in prisons, in the community and ‘through the prison gate’ as they resettle back into their communities. We also campaign for systems change that addresses the root causes of offending, reduces the harmful impact of prison, and creates workable, community-based alternatives to imprisonment.  
 

Job Purpose:

Women in Prison’s Advocates deliver high-quality, trauma-informed, independent advocacy for women in communities and in prisons, which focuses on early intervention, and holistic provision as part of a ‘whole system’ multi-agency response that looks to address the root causes of women’s offending.

About The Role
We are recruiting for a Regional Legacy Giving Manager on a full-time basis, working 35 hours per week. This is a fixed-term maternity cover contract lasting for 12 months.

As our Regional Legacy Giving Manager for the South, you’ll be responsible for managing and motivating a high performing team of Legacy Giving Officers and Legacy Partnership Officers.

About you
Joining us, you’ll have experience of managing events, ideally in a charity fundraising environment. This is a home-based role based but ideally you would live in the South of England or Wales. You must be able to travel and have the flexibility to meet key stakeholders and attend events as well as internal meetings at our flagship offices.

What you’ll focus on:

- Direct line management of regionally based Legacy Giving Officers (LGOs) and Legacy Partnership Officers (LPOs) and leading them in co-ordinating the delivery of legacy events and stewardship activities, alongside developing our Will offers and engagement with legal firms.
- Meeting agreed annual targets for both legacy gifts and Will offer metrics across five regions.
- Developing and delivering the stewardship plan ensuring ongoing engagement with supporters who are interested in leaving a charitable gift in their will by upgrading and converting through the legacy cycle: enquirer, considerer, intender, pledger.
- Providing statistical and narrative reports on Team South’s legacy activity each month and as otherwise required.
- Delivering appropriate legacy fundraising awareness training to staff where this upskilling will lead to supporter referrals for the legacy pipeline.

FearFree delivers services across the Southwest for victims, children and perpetrators of domestic abuse, sexual violence and stalking with the aim to break the cycle of abuse and support all to live free from fear. This exciting post will be working with children who have experienced or been affected by domestic abuse and sexual violence. Focusing on standard and medium risk cases, this role will provide practical and emotional support to children and young people, whilst working proactively with other professionals, with an emphasis on early intervention and awareness raising.

FearFree is committed to flexible and hybrid working and this role will be a mix of home based and office based, alongside requiring travel for multi-agency meetings and other deliverables. 

This role may include evening and weekend work when required. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Manage a caseload of low to high risk children and young people, predominantly through face to face appointments but also utilising virtual technologies and group work.

• Plan, recruit and deliver group work interventions for children and young people alongside colleagues. 

• Complete an initial assessment of the child’s needs so that you can identify and plan the support needed to address issues and prevent any problems from escalating. 

• Assess the needs of the child and devise appropriate support and safety plans with due regard to the dynamic nature of risk. 

• Proactively engage with children and young people affected by DA/SV by providing therapeutic sessions tailed to their needs in where they are in their recovery journey. 

• Risk assess and follow FearFree safety procedures to ensure personal safety and that of service users and other staff at all times. 

• Actively support carers and parents in how to support their CYP affected by trauma. This may include working together to ensure the child is support at every stage in their recovery journey. 

• Respond to emergencies and crises with a focus on the child’s wellbeing and safeguarding. 

• Provide child-centred, trauma responsive support to all your cases taking in considering different learning needs, to empower the young person to make informed choices. 

• Enable service users to participate in the design, delivery and evaluation of services. 

• Keeping the child’s voice central to all support and decision making wherever possible: taking the time to talk through and work with the individual child’s understanding around safeguarding and why we need to share certain things. 

• Act as duty officer, responding to incoming calls, logging referrals and making assigned outgoing calls, according to the duty rota.

• Work effectively within a multi-agency framework, consisting of the MARAC and local partnership responses to domestic abuse and sexual violence, in order to reduce the risk for service users and their families.

• Be proactive with your line manager to carry out periodic case reviews. 

• Respect and value the diversity of the community in which the services work in, and recognise the needs and concerns of a diverse range of survivors ensuring the service is accessible to all. 

General

The Admin Co-Ordinator plays a vital role in ensuring our Community Services run smoothly, allowing survivors and their loved ones to receive timely and vital support. You’ll help manage the process of accurately recording client data from the point of referral to closure, assist with audits, and support general facilities and operations management. You’ll also occasionally provide admin support to our prison-based programmes, facilitating consistent standards across all areas of our work. Through this work, you will directly advance our mission to break the silence and support healing for men affected by sexual harms. You’ll work closely with the Information & Data Manager and Senior Operations: Data Analyst and, as needed, the Executive Leadership Team, modelling our values of Transparency, Integrity, Understanding and Responsiveness in everything you do.

We Are Survivors are looking for an organized and proactive individual who takes pride in accuracy and delivery. You can juggle priorities, communicate clearly both written and orally, and maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive information. You’re confident using the Microsoft Office Package. Specifically, Outlook, Word and Excel. You should ideally be comfortable working with databases to manage client information and assist with regular audits. You bring empathy and professionalism, and you live our values of Transparency, Integrity, Understanding and Responsiveness, helping create safe, inclusive spaces for clients and colleagues. Experience with minute-taking, facilities management, and working in confidential or VCSE settings is a bonus, as is an understanding of issues relating to male sexual harms.

You will play a pivotal role supporting the Charity in several different ways. Working with the Senior Leadership Team, you will ensure the smooth running of the organisation, providing administrative support to the Director of Operations and the Chief Executive. As a People Business Partner, you’ll work closely with designated teams across Refuge, providing expert HR advice and support on employee relations, recruitment, and organisational change. You’ll lead and develop the HR Coordinator, ensuring high-quality service delivery and compliance with policies and legislation. You will analyse and interpret data and information to inform decision making. Your work will help shape a positive employee experience and contribute to making Refuge a great place to work. 

You’ll be an experienced HR professional with a strong track record in employee relations and recruitment. You’ll bring a proactive, solutions focused approach and be confident in coaching managers and making change. You’ll be passionate about creating inclusive workplaces and have a good understanding of employment law and HR best practice.

This is a pivotal role in our Brand, Content and Digital Engagement team, where you’ll lead on digital excellence ​and work with external partners to grow our reach and improve user journeys.​​

Contract​

• ​​£40,000 - £42,000 per annum plus benefits

​What you’ll do ​​

• ​Lead and develop a high-performing Web team
