The Role:

You will be joining at an important time for our team, covering a crucial role in ensuring accurate income processing, reporting, and financial management across the organisation. As part of the Finance team, you will work closely with colleagues across departments, particularly alongside our fundraising team, to ensure income is correctly coded and reported efficiently. 

With responsibility for month-end and year-end processes, as well as maintaining accurate and timely financial data, you will play a vital role in supporting decision-making across the organisation. Your work will ensure colleagues have the financial insights they need, enabling strategic planning and effective resource management. 

Strong communication skills are essential for this role, as you will liaise with teams across the organisation to provide clear financial updates, answer queries, and ensure income is accurately coded and reported in line with financial procedure. Your clear communication of financial information will support informed decision-making and ensure compliance with procedures. 

To succeed in this role, you will have strong financial processing experience, excellent attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. You should be comfortable working with financial systems and software, with the ability to efficiently manage data, generate reports, and ensure accurate income tracking.

Additionally, the team comes into the office during busier periods, such as financial year-end and audit, to collaborate with auditors (June/July). You can work remotely for the rest of the time. Equally, you may prefer to work from the office full-time. We encourage all colleagues to visit member hospices to help inform our work and you may be able to work from there.  

Contractually this role is London-based.

Our Youth and Play Workers will play a pivotal role in the Children, Young People and Families team, working as a core team of practitioners to ensure the smooth running of our programmes and services. The Corporate Partnerships Manager will lead the development of a new corporate partnerships programme. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced relationship builder to shape and grow a corporate income stream from the ground up, targeting a broad range of potential partners across East London and beyond.

• Lead the development and implementation of a new, agile corporate partnerships strategy aligned with FFL’s strategic priorities and values.

2. Relationship Building and Income Generation

• Proactively approach and develop relationships with cold prospects through tailored, creative and strategic outreach.
• Craft persuasive pitches, proposals and presentations tailored to corporate audiences at different levels of seniority.
• Secure a diverse range of partnerships, including sponsorships, strategic collaborations, employee engagement, gifts in kind and project-specific funding.
• Lead on stewardship, ensuring all corporate partners are appropriately recognised, engaged and retained.

3. Internal and External Collaboration

• Work closely with colleagues across the organisation to shape partnership opportunities that support programme delivery, strategic objectives and community impact.

• Maintain accurate CRM (using Raiser’s Edge) records and income forecasts, working with the Director of Fundraising and Development to track engagement and manage risk for reporting to the Fundraising Sub-Committee.
• Ensure partnership activity complies with charity fundraising regulation and FFL’s internal ethical fundraising policy.
• Prepare clear, timely reports and impact updates for internal and external stakeholders.

Our Community Organiser plays a crucial role in contributing to our ongoing Permanent, Safe Homes Now campaign, which aims to set a precedent for housing reform nationwide. Our mission is to drive meaningful change and empower communities facing social injustice across the UK.

Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) works for the health and dignity of Palestinians living under occupation and as refugees. A UK registered charity, we work in collaboration with Palestinian communities and trusted local partners, and coordinate with key stakeholders and relevant clusters, to meet a wide range of health and social needs, from providing vital medical aid in emergencies, to supporting the development of better health services for the long term. Purpose of role

MAP is in a period of growth and rapid development, and as such, the incoming Chief Operating Officer (COO) will be responsible for the financial strategy and management of MAP and for the leadership of operational areas to help deliver the organisation’s mission and strategic goals. The COO provides support to the CEO in areas of governance, legal and risk management and may deputise for the CEO as required.

Responsibilities

Strategy, vision and leadership

• Be accountable to the CEO and Board in the areas of finance, technology, risk and compliance, supply chain and logistics, and safety and security.
• Advise the CEO and SMT on financial planning, legal, governance and related policy matters.
• Work closely with SMT colleagues to ensure that appropriate processes and systems are in place across the organisation, including delivery against KPIs.
• Serve as the management liaison to the Finance & Operations Committee, Audit Risk & Governance Committee and, where required, to the Board of Trustees; effectively communicate and present critical financial and operational matters at governance meetings.

• Recognised professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA, ACA) or post-graduate business degree mandatory.

You will be skilled in risk management and safety planning, remaining calm in a crisis and in handling sensitive information on a daily basis.
