Carer Locality Worker
22.5 - 37 hours per week covering Bradford West/East Locality Area’s.
Based in Shipley Office
£24,437 - £26,802 (FTE)

Role Overview:
As a Carer Locality Worker, you play a pivotal role in supporting carers through listening, advising, and advocating for them. You'll conduct wellbeing reviews, identify required actions, and collaborate with local services. Additionally, you'll engage in outreach work to promote our services and facilitate peer support groups. Your work aligns with local safeguarding procedures, and statutory services planning to promoting wellbeing and positive change for carers.
Requirements
· A genuine passion for working with carers and an understanding of the challenges they face.
· Previous experience providing individual and group support to adults.
· Strong organisational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with carers on a personal level and collaborate as a team member.
· Flexibility to adapt to the varying needs and demands of the role.
· A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare and rights of carers.
· Competent user of IT, email, Microsoft Office, CRM databases.
· Able to travel around Bradford district and around other Carers’ Resource offices.
· Ability to speak a community language, Urdu or Punjabi

Engagement Officer
We’re looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the Locality Impact directorate and focus on Engagement in their area.

The Role
Reporting to the Engagement Lead, the Engagement Officer will work with colleagues across the locality to deliver against engagement activity.
Key responsibilities will include:
· Planning, facilitation and evaluation of the online Stroke Information Programme
· Identifying, building and maintaining key relationships with key stakeholders.
· Developing and enabling peer support and self-sustaining stroke communities in the locality.
· Providing support and management to volunteers and people with Lived Experience.

The Role
The service aims to identify and address the needs of stroke survivors and carers whose lives are affected by aphasia, by providing a range of innovative support solutions, supporting them to meet their desired outcomes. Contract: Our services are contracted; we currently have funding for this contract until 31 March 2026. While continued funding beyond this date cannot be guaranteed, we have maintained regular contracts in this area for many years and are confident in the likelihood of securing future funding
