The National Lottery Community Fund is seeking a Strategic Communication Lead, Northern Ireland to drive forward our ambitious communications transformation. This newly created role sits at the heart of our restructured communications function, designed to deliver our strategy "It Starts with Community" and shift our focus to demonstrating the powerful impact communities have across the UK.

As we build a new, integrated approach to communications across the UK, this position offers an exceptional opportunity to shape how we tell our story. Playing a strategic leadership role, you will be the vital bridge between our grant makers and communicators, working in a matrix manner with the senior leadership team in your country and our wider communications team to solve problems and generate successful communications and engagement campaigns.

You will provide strategic leadership on communications and external affairs, working across two areas of responsibility: a specific country within the UK and one of our four missions. Your ability to create powerful alignment between these areas will be essential to success.

Your deep understanding of the devolved context and stakeholder landscape will help build the Fund's influence with regional decision-makers and opinion formers while advancing UK-wide objectives. You will also be an ambassador for the Fund's work, maintaining a strong network in your country.

We are looking for an experienced communications strategist with extensive knowledge of the local political, media and stakeholder landscape. You should bring a sophisticated understanding of how communications can drive organizational objectives and a proven track record of leading integrated campaigns. Your background might include senior communications roles in government, the VCSE sector, or complex organizations operating across devolved administrations, where you've demonstrated ability to navigate diverse stakeholder environments and translate strategic goals into impactful communications activity.

Key responsibilities

• Lead strategic communications for one Funding portfolio and one mission area, ensuring integration with business planning
• Build and lead matrix teams to deliver integrated communications campaigns
• Develop and implement communications plans that drive engagement with key stakeholders
• Provide senior counsel on reputation management and crisis response
• Act as senior regional point of contact for communications and external affairs
• Ensure consistent messaging across all customer journey touchpoints
• Represent the Fund with key external stakeholders and opinion formers

Location: You will be expected to be based in the country you will be supporting. We have a hybrid approach to working with work pattern and exact location agreed with the successful candidate. Our offices are in Belfast, Birmingham, Cardiff, Exeter, Leeds, London, Manchester, Newcastle and Newtown.

Bipolar UK is the only national charity dedicated to supporting individuals affected by bipolar, including carers and families. We're launching an exciting new lottery-funded project in Northern Ireland to expand our peer support network.

As Senior Volunteer Co-ordinator, you’ll play a central role in growing and supporting our network of local support groups. You’ll recruit, onboard and induct volunteer co-facilitators, ensuring a welcoming, inclusive experience. You’ll supervise and support volunteers, helping them develop skills and confidence to deliver safe, effective peer support—whether online or in-person.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting the set-up and running of new support groups across Northern Ireland.

We are seeking a well organised and highly motivated Community Archivist to deliver this hugely significant project.

Champs Camp was the first successful Black boxing gym in Britain, with Phil Martin, its founder, the UK’s first Black boxing trainer, manager and promoter. Martin revolutionised British boxing during the 1980s and 1990s, introducing new ways of training and transforming the lives of thousands of young men and boys across Greater Manchester in the process. He deliberately challenged the public association of Moss Side with guns and gangs, helping to produce UK and world champions and make Manchester a centre of the sport.

This project will preserve and make publicly accessible the records of a hugely significant but largely unknown episode in UK Black history. Its legacy will be the preservation of a unique and extensive archive of film, photography, and posters, the collection of a wide-ranging oral history, and the production of a permanent digital archive, accessible to anyone including educators, activists and the wider community. 

This role is funded by The National Lottery Fund grant and is run by a partnership of the Moss Side Boxing and Athletics Association (MSBAA) and Manchester Histories, with support from staff at the University of Manchester in History and the Research Data Management Support Service. The role will be located at both MSBAA and the University of Manchester and managed by the Manchester Histories team.

The Partnerships Lead will act as Project Manager for the community strand of Together for Tomorrow, a five-year National Lottery-funded programme supporting grassroots climate action across Devon. Working in close partnership with Libraries Unlimited, you will coordinate delivery across libraries and grassroots groups, supporting communities to develop practical climate initiatives and helping libraries become active sustainability hubs.

You will lead on toolkits, training plans, outreach and focus groups, while also supporting monitoring and reporting. The role blends strategic coordination with hands-on delivery, ensuring the programme is inclusive, locally rooted, and aligned across all partners.

This role sits within the CAG (Community Action Groups) Devon team, a network that supports community groups to take action on reuse, repair, food waste, composting, biodiversity and wider sustainability issues. What you will be doing

Project, people and partnership management

• Acting as project manager for the community strand of Together for Tomorrow, overseeing planning, coordination, and delivery.
• Building and maintaining partnerships with libraries, grassroots groups, and underrepresented communities.

Role Description

The Programmes Executive plays a key role supporting our community of schools during their time on the programme across the school year. They will support the design and delivery of Bite Back in Schools to ensure the best possible user experience for young people, their teachers and their schools, and to ensure the programme makes the greatest possible impact within the project timeline. 

The Programmes Executive will report to the Programmes Manager, and will work closely with colleagues across Bite Back, in particular with our comms, digital, youth and policy teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Relationship management 

• Provide ongoing support to schools throughout their time on the programme, building strong working relationships with participating schools. 

• Support communication with all schools, providing a point of contact for the coordinator and lead teacher in each school. 

• Support monitoring and evaluation through creation of surveys, ensuring completion of baseline and end of year surveys, and analysis of data submitted (working with our Evaluation Manager).

• Lead the planning, creation, and distribution of our termly newsletter, highlighting school achievements, amplifying youth voices, and inspiring action across our network.

• Provide timely responses to school queries, manage a shared inbox and alert the Programmes Manager of any potential risks.

• Proactively seek feedback from teachers and young people on our programmes 

• Ensure opportunities for schools to engage in at least two one-on-one meetings with our team during the school year.

Community management 

• Celebrate and share examples of best practice and impactful social action projects amongst our community of schools. 

• Deliver training and webinars for schools.

• Manage and grow engagement with school groups through our social media platforms, fostering a sense of community and promoting active participation.

• Grow our movement - supporting the recruitment of future cohorts by promoting the Bite Back in Schools programme, distributing recruitment comms, holding set up calls with interested schools, and guiding schools through the application and enrolment process, working closely with the Programmes Manager on the design of these processes.

Programme delivery 

• Schedule and organise visits to schools, agreeing agendas with the schools in advance to include elements including meeting pupils and teachers, leading feedback sessions and focus groups and supporting the development of their social action campaigns. 

• Schedule and deliver assemblies with schools partaking in the programme.

• Ensure schools submit invoices on time as part of their grant funding, providing support where needed and coordinating with the finance team to ensure prompt processing.

• Book and arrange assemblies, coordinating between schools and our Bite Back Ambassadors.

• Support the School Ambassadors with travel logistics as they deliver assemblies in schools across England and Scotland.

• Maintain and regularly update programme management software and associated data to ensure accurate and up to date information for all participating schools.

• Ensure successful end-to-end support for the 100+ schools participating in the programme throughout the next school year.

Project support 

• Provide support to Programme Manager in the delivery of projects, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and scope.

• Assist in the delivery of the Local Authority programme, including traveling as needed to facilitate workshops and provide support to the team’s operational requirements.

• Provide support for the primary school pilot programme and contribute to the creation and development of engaging resources tailored for primary school use.

• Provide ad hoc input to evolving organisational requirements as directed by senior team members.

The Learning and Skills Development Co-Ordinator will lead on developing a program of training, learning, volunteering and work experience for the residents of Homeless Oxfordshire that increase self esteem, engagement and motivation. You will work collaboratively and creatively across the organisation, as well as with partners, stake-holders, and the wider community. Improving community relations and help us secure support from local training providers and employers where resident participation in the wider community will help break down stigmas surrounding homelessness and addiction.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

• Devise and deliver a structured programme of training and education (both formal and informal) to improve our residents' skills and confidence which prepares them for the next stage of their lives.
• As part of the LEAP team work closely with the Activities Co-Ordinator to deliver a comprehensive programme of engagement, developing skills to move away from homelessness.
• Work with partners and residents to design training that is tailored to the needs of our residents.

LEAP is built on the foundation of strong, supportive relationships that empower residents to move towards stable, independent living. Through one-to-one key worker support, trauma-informed care, and community engagement, residents rebuild trust, form friendships, and gain confidence. Activities like gardening, arts and crafts, and creative writing foster connection and personal growth, while group involvement helps residents feel part of a wider community. They are enhancing resident engagement by developing a mutual support network for staff with lived experience of homelessness and/or addiction. LEAP also collaborates with local partners like RAW, a social enterprise offering training and employment to those with lived experience, and strengthens ties with adult education providers such as Abingdon and Witney College. We also create pathways to volunteer with cultural institutions like the University of Oxford Museums.

LEAP empowers people with lived experience of homelessness and/or addiction, helping them build the confidence and skills needed to move towards independent living and employment. Over three years, the project aims to support 750 individuals. Through a wide range of engaging and meaningful activities, residents will experience positive outcomes such as increased confidence, self-esteem, and a sense of inclusion. They will build supportive networks, learn key life skills and access training, volunteering, and employment opportunities. Many will gain qualifications and secure long-term accommodation. The project strengthens peer support and enables residents to shape services through formalised Residents’ Forums, ensuring their voices influence senior decision-making. For Homeless Oxfordshire, LEAP enhances our capacity to deliver peer-led support, builds staff knowledge, and informs service improvement. Wider community benefits include reduced stigma around homelessness, stronger partnerships with employers and organisations, and improved understanding of the issues faced by our residents—ultimately contributing to a more inclusive and compassionate society.

We are looking to appoint an  Alternative Provision Outdoor Teacher (“APOT”)  The role is fundamental to the delivery of this exciting project. This role will deliver engaging outdoor learning opportunities to students who face barriers to mainstream education, who may be in alternative provision, at risk of exclusion from mainstream education or who would benefit from learning outside the classroom. Working with the relevant schools you will develop and deliver outdoor education that will engage students with learning experiences which create a connection to nature and foster personal development. Additionally, you will enable students to identify career opportunities, whilst developing life skills, resilience and independence ready for the next stage of their education or career path.

The Woodland Trust is looking for a Conservation Officer - Mourne Park on a fixed term contract until December 2029 to support the work on the development and delivery of The National Lottery Heritage Funded project at Mourne Park.

The Role: 
•    This is a key role in The National Lottery Heritage Funded project at Mourne Park.  The Conservation Officer will be required to work on the development and delivery of woodland creation and restoration operations, natural and built heritage and countryside access projects and local habitat auditing and assessment programmes.
•    The role will be responsible for providing advice and assessments to landowners who wish to participate on the woodland creation or restoration element of the project and continually monitor work undertaken to ensure successful implementation.
•    You will co-ordinate and oversee implementation work on heritage conservation projects identified by the project, including the writing of management plans when required.
•    You are responsible for fostering good relations with partners, contractors, interested organisations and individuals, local people, visitors and the media. Identifying, reviewing and meeting with potential partners who could assist the project to meet its objectives and whose objectives could be assisted by the project. 
•    This role is based in Mourne Park, Northern Ireland and will require the successful candidate to travel to site and around Northern Ireland as required.
•    This role is a funded fixed term role until December 2029.
•    This role will require an enhanced DBS check as part of our pre-employment checks.

The Candidate:

•    Hands on experience in project delivery especially in complex, multi-disciplinary projects bringing together a variety of skills from both within and outside the organisation to plan, monitor and deliver projects on time and to budget.
•    You’ll have experience in forestry or conservation land management experience, including experience of volunteer and community engagement.
•    You’ll have achievement in working with, developing and managing land management and owning partners.
•    You’ll have a collaborative approach, with the ability to work with multiple teams, building relationships with both internal and external stakeholders effectively. 
•    You’ll know about the techniques for native woodland creation, native woodland design for conservation and economic objectives, and experience of managing woodland creation sites.
•    Strong communication skills, both written and verbally being able to liaise with internal and external stakeholders, especially volunteers using a variety of methods to suite the audience. 
•    This role does require regular travel to and from Mourne Park and Northern Ireland. A full UK driving licence is required.

The CMV Connect Project Coordinator role is designed to enhance the charity's outreach and support initiatives, focusing on building and maintaining relationships with healthcare professionals, families, and the broader community. This position involves coordinating projects that aim to increase awareness, provide resources, and support families affected by cCMV.  This role is a part time role funded by National Lottery Community Fund.  It is a freelance contractor role, as it is a contract for services. 

CMV Action is a UK-based charity dedicated to supporting families affected by congenital cytomegalovirus (cCMV), a leading cause of childhood disabilities such as deafness, developmental delays, and vision impairment. The charity provides information, advocacy, and support to raise awareness and improve outcomes for those impacted by cCMV, both during pregnancy and in babies and children.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Coordination: Oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of CMV Connect initiatives, ensuring they align with the charity's objectives.  Work with other Operation Team members and report to the Board fortnightly.
• Supporting families: Work with the trustees to follow up on those we support and identify how we can support them in the future. Work with volunteers to organise in-person and online opportunities for families to meet up.
• Volunteer Coordination: Recruit, train, and support volunteers involved in CMV Connect project.
• Event Management: Organise and support events and campaigns aimed at raising awareness and funds for CMV Action.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Develop and maintain relationships with healthcare professionals, community groups, and other families to promote awareness and support for cCMV.  Provide social media content to the Fundraising Officer when each milestone is reached.
• Resource Development: Assist in creating and distributing educational materials and resources for families and healthcare providers.
• Data Management: Collect and analyse data to assess the impact of initiatives and inform future strategies.  Financial data collection for the final evaluation report.

Essential

• Education: Degree level qualification or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
• Experience: Proven experience in project coordination, stakeholder engagement, and working within a charitable or healthcare setting. Previous working experience with volunteers within a project would be ideal.
• Skills: Strong organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office, including proficiency in Excel.
• Attributes: Ability to work independently and as part of a team, manage multiple tasks, and maintain confidentiality.

Desirable

• Qualifications: Project management or volunteer management qualification.

Working Conditions

• Location: The role is home-based with occasional travel required for meetings and events.

The Society of Antiquaries of Scotland is looking to hire a new member of staff to help co-ordinate and deliver the Finding Futures for Scotland’s Churches project.

Working closely with Scotland’s Churches Trust, this role will assist the Research Officer to work with communities to collate existing country-wide information on both the heritage and community value of Scotland’s churches. The role will help identify knowledge and data gaps, carry out heritage surveys and engage community-representative groups to undertake a community value assessment applying the University of Stirling’s Social Value Toolkit. It will also involve supporting the set up and administration of a network of key stakeholders.
