In this role, you’ll support the Longview team to effectively deploy over $10m per year to reduce the risk of a major global catastrophe, such as a nuclear war between great powers, an engineered pandemic, or the misuse of advanced artificial intelligence. Your work will enable Longview to operate more effectively and nimbly, and you’ll support a team working on high-impact grantmaking.
Key Information
Role: The Operations Analyst will support our operations, events, executive and grantmaking teams by managing our office, coordinating meetings, setting meeting agendas, and supporting other operations processes within Longview.
Location: London, UK (working full-time from Longview’s East London office). We may be able to sponsor a UK work visa for this position.
Starting Salary: c. £35,000-40,000 p.a. We may be able to offer a higher starting salary, depending on the successful candidate’s experience and skills.

Responsibilities
The Operations Analyst will support the Longview Philanthropy executive, grantmaking, operations, and events teams. Approximately 40% of their time will be spent on office management tasks and 60% on generalist-type operations tasks (depending on the successful candidate’s specific skills and professional development goals):
- Meeting preparation and coordination
- Creating meeting agendas for senior staff (CEO, COO & Programme Leads) and sharing them ahead of time
- Scheduling meetings between team members and external stakeholders
- Organising our monthly all-team meetings
- Managing our London office
- Keeping the office fridge stocked
- Maintaining office inventory and equipment
- Continuously improving our working environment
- Including helping to scope for new offices, as required
- Receiving and managing office guests
- Liaising with our office provider (Fora)
- Remote office management
- Assisting our remote staff with their local office spaces, including finding suitable offices and liaising with the providers
- Assisting staff with equipment orders
- Collating materials from across the org to support the executive, grantmaking, events and operations teams
- An example of this might be collating testimonials on our events for future invitations, or collating public and Longview-specific information on a potential or existing donor
- Supporting staff where needed with smaller tasks, examples might include ordering items for staff and registering for events on their behalf
- Administering and troubleshooting key shared systems, for example, 1Password, Asana, Slack, Calendly, Zoom, AirTable, and Notion
- Moderating these platforms and enforcing communications and sharing norms
- Managing our general enquiries email inbox and triaging emails to ensure they receive an appropriate response
- Logging general job applications in our database and responding as necessary
Possible duties, depending on the candidate:
- Helping administer hiring rounds
- Communicating with candidates
- Managing the candidate pipeline and applicant tracking system during the hiring process, as well as the logistics for work tests, trials and interviews
- Supporting our IT infrastructure
- Updating the website
- Conducting basic cybersecurity tasks
- Working with our Data Manager to keep our CRM up to date by tracking key interactions
The successful candidate will initially report to Katie Hearsum, COO, though management may eventually move to another member of the operations team, and ideally would be able to start in July 2024.

- Conduct ethical screening and due diligence research on prospects and donors to ensure compliance with DNDi's policies and data protection regulations.
- Manage prospect research related relationships (contractual and budgetary aspects) and monitor expenditure for resource optimization.
An interesting candidate would be someone with
- A deep understanding of the global philanthropic landscape and strong in-depth knowledge of the philanthropic landscape in at least 3-4 countries (US, UK landscape is vital and knowledge of additional markets (Switzerland, Germany, Netherlands or Sweden) highly regarded) with some focus on prospect research experience in developing markets.
- Master’s degree or equivalent with a Minimum 6 years’ relevant experience in prospect research experience or a strong equivalent (eg other roles within fundraising) for international NGOs, scientific organisations or organizations with global public health relevance. Some experience with medical research or neglected tropical diseases would be highly regarded.
- Someone who is driven and able to work effectively in a remote team environment and matrix structure
Location: UK, remote or hybrid in London. (The person may be based remotely or with the possibility of being able to work in a hybrid mode in London from MSF’s office 2-3 days per week.)

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage a robust portfolio of prospects and supporters to meet income targets

Specific responsibilities
An applicant appointed to the role will be expected to:
- Work effectively with others to develop funding proposals for CSE projects.
- Lead the response to competitive Invitations to Tender, which require a specific and timely response to a client’s brief and the ability to highlight and sell relevant CSE strengths and expertise.
- Support our development process by giving direction, supervision, and support to all contributing staff.
- Work with delivery teams and colleagues to set project budgets, costing work accurately using CSE’s development and financial tools.
- Ensure effective set up of new projects and facilitate the handover when a project bid has a successful outcome.

We’re looking for someone who can seek out and build great partnerships, cultivate and manage large corporate donors whose values align with ours and help raise brand awareness. Someone who can proactively generate new and repeat business, and enjoys networking and building relationships with both corporate sponsors and high net worth donors.
This is a permanent part-time, and yet flexible role, for 3 days a week. We’ll explore the exact hours and timing with you and together find what works.
Your work with us will raise awareness about the climate crisis and the importance of sustainability in the business world in order to create a liveable future. You’ll help us restore wildlife and marine habitats, improve livelihoods in rural communities, protect against deforestation, alleviate climate anxiety in our young and of course help tackle climate change head on.

What does the role involve:
- Grow our annual and long-term funding.
- Research and successfully secure new long-term relationships with exciting brands and large corporate donors whose company values align with ours.

- Designing and implementing strategies to increase funding and strong partnerships that raise brand awareness and reach new audiences.
- Research networking, speaking events and opportunities for the CEO, yourself and others to attend, to build our network and profile.
About you:
- A self-starter, someone who takes initiative and has boundless energy to get out there and help us grow.
- You’re great at getting brands and high-value donors on board with causes like ours, and an instinct for how to communicate and build starter brands like us.

What’s in it for you

The WaterAid International Affairs team The Global International Affairs team plays a leadership role across the WaterAid Federation to drive the design and delivery of WaterAid's major influencing with key donors, international and multilateral institutions to achieve SDG 6. The team's purpose is to convince influential political decisionmakers to prioritise water, sanitation and hygiene in their policy and funding agendas, and to create the conditions that enable everyone, everywhere to access WASH by 2030.
About the Role:
As our Senior Advocacy Advisor on International Financial Institutions you will increase and strengthen our advocacy and capacity to influence global development finance institutions, particularly the World Bank but also be informed on major developments in other IFIs, e.g. recent Paris Summit and Global Financing Pact. We want to ensure our engagement is systematic, impactful and builds up an increased evidence base for influence on the institution.
In this role, you will will employ a range of strategies to advocate for changes in the policies, standards and practices of the World Bank particularly as it relates to water sanitation and hygiene particularly in the context of the twin climate change and global health crises. This position will include a focus on the World Bank Group's Water Global Practice and the Global Water Security and Sanitation Partnership, as well as also support WaterAid Country Programme teams and partners to influence the World Bank's operations at the country level.
You'll also:
- Develop and implement advocacy strategies designed to influence the policies of the World Bank and other relevant IFIs on water sanitation & hygiene in line with WaterAid's globally agreed policy and campaign priorities, and in coordination with allies.
- Build a network of contacts and relationships, including relevant IFI/ World Bank staff and Executive Directors, gather information, and advocate with the Board and staff of the World Bank on particular country operations and key policy areas
- Build technical knowledge and understanding of the Bank's policies and practices in relation to the WASH sector, including the activities of the International Development Association (IDA) and how these relate to countries in which WaterAid has CPs
- Keep abreast of complex and fast changing political debates and monitor emerging trends internationally, across the Bank's key donor governments to inform WaterAid's political positioning, ensuring the organisation's advocacy is responsive and relevant;Actively participate in and contribute to the political influencing and campaign strategies for the Global Advocacy Priority campaigns on WASH & climate and on WASH & women's health.

As Head of Fundraising, you’ll be leading an incredible team of 12 dedicated fundraising staff who, along with the support of our event volunteers, work tirelessly to support our Hospice. This role is pivotal in ensuring our fundraising department thrives, and you will be responsible for balancing income generation with cost control, team leadership, and collaborating closely with our marketing and retail heads as one of our department leads.
