Peaches Womb Cancer Trust is looking for an experienced Marketing and Communications Manager who is passionate about developing accessible and relevant assets that reach all current and future stakeholders of our charity. This is a hands-on, creative role that would suit someone passionate about social media, marketing, and making a difference in the lives of others.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with prior experience in marketing and communications to enhance their skills in the charity sector and help raise awareness of womb cancer, and Peaches, with all audiences within a brilliant organisation!
You will undertake a wide range of marketing and communications activities and have an opportunity to inform our direction of travel. The role is part time, working remotely with a requirement to attend regular team meetings in the Greater Manchester area.
It is crucial that anyone at risk of, living with and living beyond womb cancer has a clear understanding of Peaches’ mission, vision and support. In this role, you will develop our marketing and communications strategy; planning and implementing tailored activity. You will be responsible for growing the online presence of Peaches Womb Cancer Trust and deepening engagement with stakeholders, ensuring our message reaches the right audiences in the most effective ways. You will also have prime responsibility for managing our social media channels, creating digital content and campaigns that raise awareness, promote fundraising and share the stories of those we support.
You will work closely with our Clinical Nurse Specialist and Operations Executive and will be responsible for ensuring that we have the assets and materials we need to achieve maximum sustainable impact for the charity. You will work within our branding guidelines and budget to build upon our previous assets and materials, increasing engagement across all platforms including the media. You will also work with national and international partners on joint campaigns, press releases and events. This is a varied and exciting role. There’s never a dull moment at Peaches!

PURPOSE
The Principal Gifts Manager is a vital member of the Development team at the WHO Foundation, responsible for advancing strategic fundraising and engagement goals. The role will appeal to a talented principal gifts fundraiser motivated by the opportunity to make a transformative impact on the Foundation’s fundraising at a pivotal moment in its history.
By cultivating relationships with individuals, trusts, and corporations, this role will secure $3M+ funding from a diverse and growing community of supporters. The Principal Gifts Manager will connect these stakeholders to our mission through a blend of face-to-face meetings, events, tailored proposals, and compelling presentations. This role may also serve as a multi-market specialist, managing select portfolios.
REPORTS TO
The Principal Gifts Manager will report to the Director of Development US for the WHO Foundation.
ACCOUNTABILITIES & FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Fundraising and portfolio management:

Increase philanthropic gifts to WHOF and build a sustainable pipeline of prospects and fundraising income.

Manage a portfolio of 30-40 prospective donors and deliver multiple gifts at the $3 million + level.

Meet or exceed targets, including dollars raised, asks made, meetings secured, and gift closure rates.

Develop strategies for multi-year transformational funding etc to : Develop strategies for multi-year transformational funding, working collaboratively with the Development Team to expand UHNW networks and corporate partners. Build plans to engage family offices, donor-advised funds, wealth advisors, and family foundations at the principal gift level.

Efficiently use the CRM to track and report activity, support campaign data, and provide management information for senior leadership.

Cultivate deep and meaningful principal gift relationships with prospects and donors.

Develop strong working relationships with WHO and WHOF ’s staff and senior volunteers.
Relationship management:

Design and execute effective cultivation/ solicitation strategies with potential donors that inspire major gifts to match fundraising priorities.

Initiate and grow a personal network of senior influencers and connectors to strengthen and expand the principal gifts pipeline..

Where assigned, lead on a geographical focus region’s overall engagement strategy, leveraging existing and planned foundation-wide activity to increase regional engagement, whilst collaborating with stakeholders, advocates and ambassadors to further identify new philanthropic funding opportunities
Collaboration:

Work in partnership with the Finance team, Legal, Communications and wider WHOF teams to ensure gifts are processed in line with donor wishes and financial regulations

Ensure the highest standards of donor care through effective stewardship, timely reporting, gift acknowledgment and continued engagement.

Job requirements

A minimum of 10+ years to attract senior-level US fundraisers. of experience in fundraising

Significant experience of managing principal gift portfolios and closing 7- and 8-figure gifts

Proficient in building relationships and negotiating with UHNW and HNWI donors

Demonstrable experience of working to and achieving challenging financial targets

Demonstrable experience of designing and executing successful fundraising strategies

Excellent knowledge of best practice in philanthropic fundraising applied successfully in international development, higher education, health, or nonprofit sectors

Strong experience in health partnership with health emergencies and corporate partners is also welcome

Thorough knowledge of IT systems, database management and Salesforce.

About the Development Operations & Stewardship Manager role:
This job sits within the Museum’s Development Team, supporting a team of fundraisers to build philanthropic relationships, corporate partnerships and run National Museums Scotland’s Membership programme. The successful candidate will report to the Head of Development and be a senior member of the Development team. The post holder will bring experience and knowledge of best practice across the full Development Operations function, including CRM and supporter insight, prospect research, and financial reconciliation and reporting. They will be excited by the opportunity to embed new ways of working within the Development team and to contribute to National Museums Scotland mission.
As Development Operations & Stewardship Manager at National Museums Scotland you will:
- Ensure that the CRM system(s) support fundraising objectives, processes and reporting requirements, maximising opportunities for actionable insights that enable fundraising growth
- Analyse and use supporter data to advise the department on strategic decisions, as well as preparing financial reports and forecasts
- Devise and lead a strategic prospect research plan, aligned with strategic funding priorities

As the Supporter Engagement & Legacy Manager you will play a key role as we seek to reignite our legacy marketing programme and grow overall individual giving income to help ensure long-term support for those facing financial difficulty. You will be responsible for the project management and implementation of all supporter engagement activity, acquisition, and legacy marketing activities, ensuring all activity is optimised and campaigns include enhanced digital and social media content.
Reporting to the Co-Heads of Supporter Engagement and managing the Supporter Engagement Officer, you will develop a multi-year plan to rebuild legacy income and a pipeline of legacy supporters, including re-engaging the EFH care home staff and major donors.
You will be responsible for supporting the strategic direction, operational plans and effective management of Turn2us’s giving programmes from individuals including appeals, regular giving and legacies, maximising net income from new and existing income streams.
The successful candidate will have experience of managing direct marketing campaigns in a charity environment as well as proven ability to manage successful legacy marketing campaigns. They will have significant experience stewarding individuals and legacy supporters and be adept at communicating the impact of donations, as well as having line management experience. The ability to make a strong case for supporting Turn2us’ key areas of work is crucial, as is an aptitude for proactively increasing acquisition and retention rates.
The post holder will also be a self-starter who is comfortable building new strategies from a relatively small pool of supporters and is experienced testing different tactics to establish the best practice for Turn2us.

Background information
The Director of Business Development is primarily focussed on growing commercial opportunities and engaging at a strategic partnership and corporate level. The Head of Fundraising and Communications will boost the capacity and leadership of the team to develop voluntary fundraising, lead on smaller corporate partnerships, develop grants and trusts income, create and deliver headline grabbing campaigns that appeal to the wider public thereby developing an individual giving function and lead on organisational communications, including fundraising comms. You will be supported by a Communications Assistant who has a good knowledge of the charity and Fundraising Assistant. The latter post is currently vacant and, it is hoped, the Head of Fundraising will be involved in the recruitment. A relevant professional qualification at SCQF Level 9 or above or equivalent knowledge acquired by other means.
Experience

Experience in both fundraising (multiple and sustainable income streams) and communications(fundraising and organisation-wide), with evidence of developing strategy and delivery as well as management and leadership of these areas.

Proven success in securing income through a range of income channels including grants and trusts, partnerships, running campaigns, and raising profile.

This includes developing relationships with key journalists, mental health advocates, and influencers to increase Penumbra’s profile. Leading on the creation and delivery of public-facing campaigns to raise awareness of mental health challenges and reduce stigma, including high-profile events like Mental Health Awareness Week.

The role
The volunteer officer will report to the volunteer manager.
The purpose of this role is to deliver the coordination of the operations of the charity’s volunteers ensuring that they have the best experience possible.
The objectives of the post are:
· To support the day-to-day smooth running of the service
· To be the first point of contact for the service and provide excellent customer service to ‘walk-in’ and face-to-face enquiries
· To deliver new projects to assist in the delivery of the service

About the role
You will work closely with the Income Generation Team and Services Teams to develop and maintain long-term sustainable funding from Trusts and Foundations. Through developing and expanding income through grants, evolving our case for support, and managing relationships with a variety of grant funders, you will transform survivors’ lives and help us be part of the systems change to end sexual violence.
You will undertake new prospect research, keep up-to-date with the sector at large, and maintain and grow our funding pipeline. You will also write compelling funding bids, proposals and appeals, alongside timely reports to funders. You will seek opportunities to strengthen and build on existing and lapsed funding relationships and offer opportunities to engage funders directly with our work.

You will be passionate about implementing the SARSAS fundraising strategy ensuring that SARSAS can continue to deliver support to meet the needs of those who have been raped and sexually abused across Avon and Somerset.
You will be a skilled writer who is confident in identifying, researching, and qualifying prospects to continue our successful growth. You will have strong relationship management skills and will be able to build and sustain long-term relationships with funders, as well as identify opportunities to deepen funders’ commitment to our cause.
You will have strong organisational skills, and be able to manage a workload which balances application and reporting deadlines alongside funder stewardship and pipeline development. You will also be a good team player and self-starter – we’re a small team who manage our own workloads, but we relish the opportunity to come together, share ideas and take creative risks.

SARSAS exists to relieve the trauma and distress, and help rebuild the lives, of survivors who live in Somerset, Bristol, South Gloucestershire, North Somerset and BANES, who have experienced any form of sexual violence, at any point in their lives.
SARSAS also campaigns and raises awareness about rape and sexual violence to change the narrative about sexual violence and enable survivor’s voices to be heard. Partnership work with a range of agencies locally and nationally is a priority to enable social change.
