Job description

Lodging House Mission give people the opportunity to get their lives back on track by enabling them to develop new skills and feelings of self-worth.

They do this by providing a safe place with access to:

• Food and shelter

• Essential facilities including showers, telephone, laundry, and internet

• Support staff and counsellors

• Educational opportunities and recreational activities

• Chaplaincy

The day centre is used by service users for a variety of different reasons. For a lot of service users attending the day centre is their first steps to reduce the feelings of isolation and loneliness which are often caused by living a chaotic life, homelessness, and mental health.

The staff and councillors work extremely hard with the service users to build trusted relationships to help identify the individuals needs and offer them the best support.

The Manager of Lodging House Mission will be at the forefront of the day centre, ensuring all service users are supported and most importantly, fed. They will drive the reopening of the centre after what has been a challenging year and welcome the service users back to the centre.

This is an exciting opportunity for the new Manager to help develop and implement a new strategic plan with their fresh ideas. You will be an intelligent, caring, and competent individual who understands homelessness or the social care sector.

If this opportunity excites you, then please contact us today for the candidate pack.
