Job description

Percival are excited to be working exclusively with the Ruth Strauss Foundation to help them appoint a new Head of Fundraising.

The Ruth Strauss Foundation was founded in Early 2018, Ruth Strauss, wife of Sir Andrew Strauss the former England cricket captain, was diagnosed with an incurable lung cancer that affects non-smokers. Ruth died on December 29th 2018; she was 46 years old and mother to two children, then aged 10 and 13. The Ruth Strauss foundation provides emotional support for families to prepare for the death of a parent and raises awareness of the need for more research & collaboration in the fight against non-smoking lung cancers.

Title: Head of Fundraising

Salary: £55,000 – £60,000 per annum

Working Pattern: Full Time

Contract Type: Permanent

Location: Hybrid, London

This pivotal role demands a strategic thinker with a proven track record of delivery. The post holder will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive fundraising plans, identifying new funding opportunities, and overseeing all income streams. Cultivating strong donor relationships will be key, and you should be confident in soliciting major gifts.

They are looking for candidates with demonstrable experience and understanding of diverse fundraising methods, including individual giving, major donor cultivation, and event management with a minimum of 5 years' experience in non-profit fundraising. The post holder should have experience in relationship building and excel at data analysis and reporting, utilising insights to make strategic decisions and demonstrate the impact of fundraising efforts.
