As the Philanthropy Manager, you will join a collaborative fundraising team and focus on building upon existing and new relationships with major donors to secure income and support. Joining a team of six this role will have great support and will work towards a seven-figure team target. Also, with a prospect research function in the organisation, this role will be engaging qualified donors of all levels. To be successful as the Philanthropy Manager you will have proven experience in building and securing relationships with individuals capable of giving gifts of a four, five or six figure level. You will ideally have done this previously within a fundraising environment and understand how to engage potential donors. This person will ideally be passionate about the work IRC delivers and be excited to work with a collaborative team to achieve their fundraising goals.
This role is a full-time permanent position that will have hybrid working in the London offices 1-2 days per week. The salary for this role is £45,000.

Reporting directly to Head of Philanthropy and Partnerships, the primary objective of the role is to manage existing grants and accounts, secure new funding and manage a Philanthropy and Partnerships Officer.
Your key focus will be identifying, creating relationships with and securing donations from corporate and family Trusts and Foundations and/or major donors. The role is highly international, working with colleagues across Afghanistan, Kenya and Tanzania, and a prospect base spread across globe.
Key responsibilities
- Grow income securing five- and six-figure gifts from Trusts and Foundations (60%) Corporate (30%) and Major Donors (10%) supporting an income target of £1.8m.
- Drive the expansion of Hand in Hand’s income by securing significant gifts ranging from five to seven figures from both new and existing donors.
- Engage senior-level donors through calls, meetings, and events to provide updates on project advancements and identify additional donation opportunities.
- Collaborate with UK-based colleagues and in-country teams in the creation of comprehensive proposals, including narrative content, logical frameworks, and budgets.

The Royal British Legion is looking for an experienced manager to lead their philanthropy, mid value and trusts function and make a difference to the lives of those who have served to keep us safe and protect our way of life.
The Head of High Value Giving will come in to a portfolio with huge potential and a solid base to build from. The successful candidate will own and lead the high value programme, be the in-house expert and transform high value giving to fund crucial services for the armed forces community,
The post holder will have the experience, energy, and expertise to recognise the vast opportunity within the team and take the programme to the next level. They will lead by example in cultivating both UK based and international trusts and develop relationships with key stakeholders to build out a major donor programme, whilst overseeing an amazing team to continue to deliver brilliant results.
