We’re a small but ambitious arts charity on an exciting journey. We are transforming a half-acre industrial heritage site - New River Head Clerkenwell - into the national centre for illustration and a home for Quentin Blake’s archive.
We’re seeking a brilliant person - or people - to join the team as Philanthropy Manager at an exciting time for the Centre with construction about to begin on our new home.
The Philanthropy Manager will secure gifts from Individuals, Trusts and Foundations in the range of £1,000-£50,000+, and will work closely with the Head of Development, Centre Director and Board to steward gifts at the £50,000+ level.
You will be a relationship-focused fundraiser with experience of face-to-face fundraising, excited by the opportunity to play a key part in launching a major new cultural institution. You will use your experience and key moments on the way to opening to refine, refresh and grow our established giving circles. You will also identify and develop new ways that individuals can support the Centre and our programming before we open our doors in February 2026.
You will be an inspiring and committed ambassador for the Centre and its mission, in person and in writing. You will also be a great team-player who enjoys collaborating with colleagues across the Centre to deliver a dynamic and creative programme of donor cultivation and stewardship. Leading on Policy and Campaign development of the charity’s policy, your role will be to put forward evidence-based policy recommendations and campaigns and working with the people we support to influence change ensuring that the voice of the people we support is heard and acted on by key decision makers.
Acting as the spokesperson for the Together Trust and the people it supports on policy issues you will be responsible for the following:
- Managing and developing the Together Trust’s policy and campaigns strategy in line with the Trust’s strategic long-term plan.
- Leading on the development of policy priorities with staff and the people we support. Working with them to develop a Theory of Change for the Together Trust. Working directly with the Trust Directors, Trustees and external agencies.
- Representing the Together Trust at meetings with MPs, Councillors, parliamentary groups, select committees to help drive forward Together Trust’s policy and campaigns work.
- Improving the Together Trust’s visibility in UK Parliament by attending sessions, submitting evidence and nurturing networks.
- Reporting on policy, campaigns and participation activities to the Supporting People sub-group, providing updates on activity and progress against key milestones.
- This role has line management responsibilities.
We’re looking for someone who has:
- An undergraduate degree qualification (Level 6 or equivalent), preferably in a relevant discipline with a good understanding of the UK political environment, local and national government structures and decision-making.
- Line management experience supporting team members to achieve their KPIs.
- Experience of using different campaign tactics including recruitment actions and support journeys.
- Experience of speaking at events or representing an organisation in a professional setting.

The role
The Senior Network Fundraising Manager is a new and vital role, created to maximise income generation across FareShare’s national team and 18 Network Partners. This role is integral to driving collaboration and establishing a strategic approach to fundraising across multiple sites.
FareShare has a vibrant national fundraising department that has consistently grown the organisation’s new and existing income streams in recent years. As we have grown, so have our regional delivery partners, who are independent charities, each investing in their own fundraising to sustain larger operations. The Senior Network Fundraising Manager will join FareShare’s Fundraising Leadership Team to enhance these efforts through strategic collaboration and clearly defined ways of working to maximise opportunities across our income streams.
Central to this role is the development and co-design of a strategic plan for fundraising across FareShare and our Network Partners. This plan will ensure we are better equipped for income generation, adopting consistent ways of working and a co-ordinated approach, which avoids overlapping our respective audiences and keeps the supporter at the heart of our decision making.
The Senior Network Fundraising Manager will facilitate and coordinate fundraising activities across multiple partners. This requires involving and inspiring key stakeholders, managing conflicts, setting clear expectations and responsibilities and driving continuous improvements to the way we work together. The role will ensure that the tools, frameworks, resources, monitoring and evaluation methods, and relationships are in place to successfully share information, champion successes and build new funding opportunities across FareShare and our Network Partners.
The role offers a fantastic and unique opportunity to develop a new strategic approach to fundraising across multiple charity partners, operating under the same brand and mission. You will have a strong track record in income generation, and experience or understanding of organisations working together in a federative structure. Cross-team collaboration is crucial to the role, and you will demonstrate strong relationship building, communication and influencing skills.
Main areas of responsibility
1. Lead the development of a Network Fundraising Strategy, incorporating co-designed ways of working and objectives across FareShare Network Partners.
2. Lead on culture change and new ways of working to ensure network partners are consulted and considered in all new fundraising activity.
3. Manage and coordinate FareShare’s monthly forum of network fundraisers and foster a culture of best practice, collective effort, collaboration and learning.

The Grants & Partnerships Officer will lead on delivering a best-practice grant-giving programme as part of a wider major donor programme.
Alongside the Executive Head of the UK Office, the Grants & Partnerships Officer will develop new major donors prospecting, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies as part of a wider fundraising strategy.

Main Responsibilities

The role:

The New Business Manager role will play a key role in leading our New Business activity outside of our existing portfolio. Reporting to our recently appointed Senior Manager for Partnership and New Business, your role will involve:
1. Core New Business activity: Researching and development of prospect lists for priority industries to implement New Business campaigns capable of securing multi-year high value partnerships. JOB PURPOSE
Magic Breakfast’s mission is to end child morning hunger in the UK now and for good the Philanthropy team’s role is to develop and deliver the charity's high net worth individual giving programme in line with Magic Breakfast’s strategic priorities to enable our organisational growth against our mission.
We are seeking to grow income through further cultivation and stewardship of our potential and existing donors. Our High Value Giving teams are forecast to collectively raise £5.1m in 2021/22, up from £4.6m two years ago in 2019/20. The team includes partnerships with charitable trusts and foundations, corporate organisations, and high-net-worth individuals.
Reporting into the Head of Philanthropy, this role will have a particular focus on ensuring that Magic Breakfast is offering the highest quality of donor care from start to finish, and building and developing our prospect pipeline.
We’re looking for a proactive person with excellent relationship building, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship skills as we seek to build our prospect pool, enhance or supporter journey and achieve our ambitious fundraising targets.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Direct Marketing Manager, Retention, is a newly developed role at the DEC, responsible for shaping and delivering new and existing supporter journeys for DEC individual, community and legacy donors, and leading a programme of improvement across all major contact points between the DEC and the public.
The Direct Marketing Manager, Retention will:
- Contribute to and develop DEC direct marketing strategies, including the refreshing, implementation and analysis of the DEC’s segmentation, to maximise future income and continually improve the retention of individual supporters for future emergency appeals,

About the role
The Philanthropy Events Manager role is a new specialised role within the Development Office and will be responsible for planning and implementing strategic fundraising events in support of the University of London’s major fundraising campaign and other fundraising priorities. You will play a critical role in the successful delivery of the fundraising campaign through strategic focus on driving impactful events programme and donor engagement strategies.
Who are we looking for?
You will come with a proven track record of event management in HE or charity sector and of liaising and managing relationships with key stakeholders (alumni, volunteers, donors etc). We seek someone who has experience of working with colleagues across a complex organisation and with different levels of seniority, as well as well-developed strategic thinking skills with a methodical and structured approach. You will be able to evidence a positive, enthusiastic and creative attitude, with the drive and tenacity to deliver new initiatives and improve existing programmes with minimum supervision. Crucially you will be able to prioritise workloads and utilise good organisational and time management skills to deliver on multiple activities simultaneously.

The University currently operates a Hybrid Working framework involving a mix of working remotely and in the office. About the Role:
- Assist with the development and maintenance of volunteer application packs.
- Support the recruitment of volunteers across the organisation.
- Ensure accurate record-keeping of volunteer information in compliance with the Data Protection Act and GDPR.
- Lead on organising and managing volunteer involvement in events and activities, ensuring effective briefing and debriefing.
- Network with external institutions such as schools, colleges, and community organisations to expand the volunteer pool.
- Monitor and ensure the health and safety of volunteers during campaigns and activities.
