Thanks to internal promotions, we are recruiting for two new officers to join our Philanthropy & Partnerships team. You'll be joining an experienced team, with an established group of mid -level and major donors, at the start of our new five-year strategy.

We’re looking for a strategic and motivated fundraiser to join our team as Philanthropy Officer, helping to grow income across trusts and foundations, major donors, and mid-level giving.

In this rewarding and varied role, you’ll use your excellent communication skills to create compelling proposals, develop engaging supporter journeys that bring donors closer to the cause and build meaningful supporter relationships that help bring moments of joy, comfort and hope to people across our ten hospitals.

You’ll be part of our friendly and ambitious Philanthropy & Partnerships team and will work closely with colleagues in corporate partnerships, with the opportunity to develop your understanding and skills across our high value giving streams. Whether you are organising a hospital tour, writing an appeal, or working with our grants team and University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust colleagues to develop a new project proposal, you’ll play a key role in identifying and developing opportunities that match our donors' passions with the hospital’s priorities.

About the Role

We have a strong Fundraising & Communications team with a clear strategy in place to achieve growth of voluntary income from £2.7m-£4.1m a year by 2028. We’re seeking an innovative and driven fundraiser to lead some of our less-developed areas of Fundraising to achieve the potential that we know that they have. This includes Major Gifts, Trust Fundraising and Legacies, and supporting our Service Delivery team to identify opportunities and submit Statutory tenders as appropriate.

In addition to leading on the strategic planning for growth in the areas outlined above, you’ll be confident in establishing relationships across the organisation, collating the data and information needed to ensure that Fundraisers are able to build an excellent case for support to take to their donors. You’ll also be excited about helping us to incorporate our clients’ lived experience of homelessness into our fundraising activity wherever possible.

You’ll report directly to the Director of Fundraising and Communications, acting as a leader within the Fundraising & Communications team.

This role is available on a 12-month fixed term contract and full-time basis. The salary band on offer for this role is £36,400. This role has hybrid working arrangements where you would be required to attend their Kings Cross, London office 2 days a week.
 
This Programmes Manager role will play a key role in the delivery of the bequests and gifts programme.
 
Within this role, you will work with the Senior Programmes Manager to manage relationships with donors, solicitors, executors, providing key advice and regular updates. You will have your own caseload of singular pieces of art to large bequests. You will support with reviewing and making improvements to programme strategies.
 
You will undertake research on specific works of art, to evaluate if they would be suitable for museums and advise donors on suitable housing of their valuable pieces. You will also disseminate information about successful gifts and bequests to internal stakeholders.
 
To be successful within this role, you will have demonstrable interest the visual arts, heritage or museums and galleries sector. You will have solid experience in arts administration, grant-making and/or collections management.
 
You will have experience of working with committees, trustees or donors or other external stakeholders. You will have the ability to manage budgets. You will have strong project management skills and experience using Microsoft Office. You will strong time management skills and the ability to deliver to deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

Supporter Care and Engagement

· Frontline Supporter Engagement: You will be the first port of call for our supporters, managing inbound communications across phone, email, and various digital platforms.

· This includes warmly handling enquiries, taking and processing donations, and escalating complex issues to ensure a seamless and positive experience for everyone.

· Creative Communications & Gratitude: You will take the lead on thanking our supporters and making them feel valued.

· This involves drafting personalised acknowledgements, finding creative ways to share the impact of their support, and sending welcoming messages to new event participants.

· Collaborative Team Support: Act as a key support pillar for the Public Fundraising Team, especially during peak times and events.

· Your role will be dynamic, involving everything from on-the-day event assistance to managing logistics and taking ownership of specific fundraising activities.

· Digital Community Management: Help us maintain a vibrant and supportive online presence by monitoring shared inboxes and assisting with the moderation of our social media communities during key campaigns and fundraising challenges.

· Process Improvement: Develop and maintain essential resources, such as FAQ documents, to streamline our processes and ensure consistent, high-quality information is shared with our supporters.

· In person support for several key owned events and other organised events each year, outside of core business hours as needed, for example – by supporting our London and Brighton marathon teams on the day (time off in lieu will be available).

Supporting Public Fundraising Campaigning and Administration

· Provide essential administrative support across the Events, Individual Giving, and Major Donor fundraising teams, contributing to the efficient operation of campaigns and activities.

· Work collaboratively with the Finance team to ensure accurate and timely processing, logging, and acknowledgement of incoming donations and fundraising income.

· Perform data entry tasks, including setting up new regular gifts, and creating and updating communication records within the CRM system (Access CRM).

· Support the administration and stewardship journeys for fundraising events, assisting with tasks such as registration support, participant communication, and logistics administration.

· Provide surge capacity support during busy periods, particularly for high-volume activities like Facebook Challenge moderation and campaign-specific administration.

· Assist with the preparation and mailing of supporter communications, appeals, and stewardship materials.

· Some on the day support for fundraising events and logistics planning and delivery. This may involve some work outside of core working hours for which TOIL would be available.

Collaboration and Operational Efficiency

· Work effectively within our evolving Agile framework, which empowers teams and individuals to work collaboratively with transparency, with key teams to plan, prioritise, and deliver high-quality supporter engagement activities.

· Build and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues across all teams, including Public Fundraising, Resources, Patient Projects, Finance and Communications, to ensure a joined-up supporter experience.

· Identify and suggest improvements to enhance efficiency and supporter satisfaction, wherever possible.

Database and Compliance

· Adhere to all Prostate Cancer Research policies, procedures, and the staff code of conduct.

· Collect and maintain records and data both on CRM and elsewhere regarding supporter interactions, enquiry themes, supporter feedback, questions, interests etc. For helping us to improve.

· Maintain a proactive approach to learning and professional development, seeking opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge relevant to supporter engagement, fundraising administration, and the cause of Prostate Cancer Research.

· Take responsibility for personal development to improve performance in the role and contribute effectively to PCR’s mission and strategic goals.

Skills and Competencies

Our ideal candidate would have the following:

· Demonstrable or transferable experience of an administrative or support role, within an office environment.

· Demonstrable pro-active growth mindset and excellent problem-solving skills.

· Proactive, eager to learn and support the work of PCR and colleagues.

· Very good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly, empathetically, and professionally with a diverse range of people, particularly external supporters and patients.

· Strong customer service or supporter care skills, demonstrating patience, empathy, and a helpful attitude with excellent telephone manner.

· Strong accuracy and attention to detail with tasks such as data entry and with written communications.

· Experience with using Microsoft 365 applications (Word, Excel, Outlook etc.) and generally good IT skills including web applications and file systems.

· Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workload effectively in a busy environment.

· Work effectively individually and as part of a team.

· A basic understanding of data protection and GDPR principles and maintaining confidentiality.

· An understanding of or interest in the cause of Prostate Cancer Research.

Desirable:  

· Experience working with a CRM system, particularly Access CRM or similar fundraising CRMs would be useful.

· Experience working or volunteering in the non-profit or health and social care sectors.

· Experience handling and processing financial transactions (e.g., taking donations over the phone).

· Experience using design or communication tools like Canva.

· Knowledge of fundraising principles or the Fundraising Code of Practice.

· Experience assisting with event administration or logistics.

· Experience using digital communication tools or social media in a professional capacity.

Sebastien discovered ClientEarth while studying anthropology and law at university. The high-leverage legal approach to achieve tangible progress on the climate and biodiversity crisis was immediately appealing. Since joining ClientEarth as a Philanthropy Officer, Sebastien has progressed to the Philanthropy Manager position where he supports and oversees two members of the Philanthropy Team. He has found that working in the Philanthropy Team has been a fantastic way to support ClientEarth's mission while learning about the world and developing skills in relationship management and communication. 

Main Duties

• Actively manage donor relationships across assigned portfolio of largely UK supporters with first class stewardship and reporting to secure renewals and uplifts of approximately £1m per annum.
• Develop the pipeline of new donors through effective prospect research, network mapping and connecting with new contacts at external and internal events as a representative of ClientEarth
• Support the Philanthropy Manager, Philanthropy Lead for Europe and all the Philanthropy team to create the conditions for success in the European Philanthropy Team. • Keep up to date with fundraising trends and ensure these are worked into internal activities and planning

Ideally with at least two years’ experience in an events role, your experience will help us deliver high-impact events that generate significant income and build relationships across our philanthropy and partnerships programmes. 

With the support of the Head of Events, you will be responsible for all aspects of event planning and delivery — from liaising with venues, suppliers, to managing guest lists and overseeing procurement.

The role requires you to be a highly organised team player with excellent time management skills and a methodical, detail-oriented approach.

As a member of the newly formed Development Team, you will lead on supporter engagement for the School and its’ Students through effective fundraising communications and year-round event delivery. SUMMARY OF THE ROLE

This role will assist with day-to-day management of Royal Ballet School’s fundraising work to support retention of recurring income from existing streams and facilitate the onboarding of new donors.

Reporting to the Development Operations Manager, the post-holder will assist with the planning and delivery of a large number of year-round engagement events through in-house visits and performances, external events and ticketing management for centenary performances. This role will lead on all fundraising communications to donor and prospect segments, and oversee campaign tracking, while relying on accurate data use and record keeping. The role will also support the administrative processing of ad-hoc Legacy request donations.

MAIN DUTIES

Fundraising Communications:

• Lead on communications for the Team, segmenting prospects and donors, ensuring they receive regular and tailored emails
• Oversee key termly campaigns, sponsor reports and videos, event invitations and summer performance comms
• Use Dot Digital to send communications and securely hold and update donor contact information
• Work closely with the School’s Communications and Marketing department to advance design and content briefs as required. 

Event Planning & Delivery:

• Attend annual School calendar planning meetings
• Manage delivery of approx. 35+ in-house donor visits to Upper School and White Lodge all year round
• Support the delivery external events for existing donors as well as cultivation events for prospects
• Coordinate performance invitations, attendance and hospitality at Opera Holland Park, Linbury Theatre, and the Royal Opera House and other third party venues
• Log and track all event invitations, RSVPs and attendance through the CRM

Donor Data Stewardship:

• Support the Donor Relations Team to administrate and deliver benefits to a portfolio of donors, sponsors and partners
• Work alongside Artistic, Academic, and Operational colleagues to ensure best Donor Experience
• Develop skills as an integral member of the Development Team in nurturing relationships with internal departments and external individual donors and trustees

• Administrate Gifts in Wills from Legators working with executors and families and coordinating timelines for income with the Finance team

• Support the Development Operations Manager and Head of Donor Relations with the evolving needs of the Development Office, as it seeks to grow income and impact in 2026 and beyond.

As Philanthropy and Strategic Foundations Executive, you will manage and grow a portfolio of four-to-five-figure philanthropic and trust-based partnerships, delivering flexible income to support our global and UK programmes.

• Manage and grow a portfolio of philanthropists and trusts, fostering meaningful, long-term relationships to maximise income and impact 

• Deliver flexible funding targets by leading the Major Donor Programme and Supporting Trusts Portfolio, with a focus on donor stewardship and retention

This role also ensures our end to end data flows are fit for purpose and that data within it are clean, accessible and available.

This role is responsible for:

• Custodian of our CRM data and responsible for major data import/export into the system including data validation, de-duplication, cleansing and fixing of data throughout the multiple data systems.
• Responsible for the curation and management of import and export routines of key fundraising data using appropriate tools.
• Responsible for forming and managing how the functions work within the Organisation to build key relationships with key data users to ensure data is correctly ingested

We’re looking for a Customer Experience Executive to join our team on a fixed term basis covering an internal secondment. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive, people-orientated, Customer Experience/ Supporter Care professional to join an established team at one of the most dynamic charities in the UK.

The Prison Phoenix Trust

The PPT are the leading experts in yoga and meditation in prisons in the UK and Ireland. Since 1988 we have supported the personal development and rehabilitation people living in prison through meditation and yoga. We do this through 121 mentoring, group yoga classes, peer support newsletters and resources such as books and DVDs that help people practise yoga and meditation in their cells. We deliver the British Wheel of Yoga’s accredited training Teaching Yoga in Prison.

A small staff and volunteer team based in Oxford works with a network of self-employed yoga and meditation teachers across the UK and Ireland.

This new role is part of an expansion of the staff team to build the capacity of the charity to meet the growing demands for its services and the income to support this.

The role

At an exciting time for the expansion of the charity’s fundraising activities, the Development Coordinator will play a pivotal role in driving and expanding the charity’s income from individual donors while leading the development and execution of community fundraising initiatives and events. This role is pivotal in building and nurturing long-term relationships with individual donors, cultivating new donor prospects, and developing innovative community engagement strategies, working with The PPT’s Development Lead.

The ideal candidate will be an energetic and passionate professional with expertise in donor relations, event management, and community fundraising. Responsibilities

1. Individual Fundraising
Innovate and implement a donor acquisition strategy appropriate for the values of The PPT.

• Implement an audience segmentation approach to building individual, regular and legacy giving, drawing on accurate analysis of data, using The PPT’s Access database.
• Project manage delivery of quarterly postal appeals including segmentation and targeting of messaging, mail-merge and printing, dispatch by volunteers or mailing house.
• Email marketing, including use of Mailchimp to segment audiences and target messages.
• Optimise The PPT’s use of JustGiving and other fundraising platforms, regularly reviewing performance.
• Optimise fundraising functionality of The PPT’s website and support colleagues in the development and procurement of a new website.

2. Community fundraising

• Manage and plan the growth of The PPT’s community fund raising activities, with a particular focus on yoga groups and faith groups.
• Review and develop cost-effective levels of support for fundraisers.

3. Donor care:

• Manage relationships with current and prospective donors and fundraisers by ensuring timely acknowledgment of gifts.
• Refine use of automated systems, such as Mailchimp and JustGiving to automate acknowledgement of gifts where appropriate, while ensuring optimum levels of personalisation, such as hand-written cards and notes.  Fulfil established donor journeys, ensuring donor led and annual stewardship is met.

4. Data management, analysis and reporting

• Maintain and update The PPT’s supporter database, ensuring all records are accurate and up to date.  Initially using Access and adapt with the move to a new database/CRM programme.
• Track, monitor and report quarterly on results of FR activities
• Support colleagues in the development and procurement of a new database and/or customer relationship management system.

5. Event Coordination

• Plan and project manage delivery of The PPT’s public facing, fundraising and donor stewardship events including planning, promotion, logistics, and follow-up.
• Integrate donor care into event planning, ensuring that donors feel personally valued and appreciated before, during, and after events.
• Work with Communications Coordinator in producing printed and display materials for events.
• Plan and project-manage delivery of The PPT’s presence at networking events for example in yoga, faith and criminal justice communities.

6. Communications and Marketing

• Contribute to development of social media audiences to meet charity’s profile-raising and fundraising objectives.
• Craft compelling messages and content for supporter communications that highlight The PPT’s mission and impact.
