The purpose of this role is to engage, cultivate and secure support from major gifts, grants, legacies and partnerships across Essex and Hertfordshire which will help shape, deliver and protect our vital life-changing service for the future. In particular it will focus on enabling the vision of EHAAT’s innovative Centre for Excellence.
This is an exciting time at EHAAT. Over the past two years, a strategy has been devised and initiated to develop major giving as a new stream of funding for the charity. As we enter the next phase of the strategy, this role presents a unique opportunity to build on the initial success of this programme and shape its future, alongside a committed and growing Development Board and a dedicated team, and with the support of the trustees and executive team. At the same time, we are bringing together for the first time other important areas of our fundraising, including legacies, trusts and foundations, and corporate partnership under the leadership of the Head of Philanthropy & Partnerships to build a strong and focused team delivering across philanthropic giving for the charity.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of working with senior level prospects and givers in a charitable context, as well as experience across other areas including legacies, trusts and foundations and corporate fundraising. A genuine team player, they will demonstrate strategic thinking, creativity and leadership, to inspire and motivate key individuals and to build strong, long-lasting relationships with the charity. In addition, they will have management experience to unite, develop and lead the team to achieve challenging targets and deliver long term philanthropic goals.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the strategy to build philanthropic giving at EHAAT in consultation with the CEO, Executive Team, Trustees and Development Board, to support the charity’s objectives and long term aims.
- Deliver a fundraising plan across the Philanthropy & Partnerships team, including major giving, legacies, trusts and foundations and corporate partnerships, to achieve agreed strategic objectives.
- Provide excellent executive support and guidance to the Development Board and the Chair, and take a leading role in building the Board further by identifying and recruiting to its membership and the wider pool of Ambassadors.
- Ensure philanthropic giving to the charity is strengthened through in-depth research, compelling proposals, wellcrafted approaches for gifts and excellent stewardship.
- Deliver regular activity and income reports and participate in the budgeting and forecasting of income in this area.
- Lead and support the Philanthropy & Partnerships team, enabling team members to fulfil their potential and meet agreed objectives through collaborative and shared working.
- Work across the charity to collaboratively create exciting and impactful propositions for funding, impact reports, and stewardship opportunities, in particular relating to the Centre for Excellence.
- Implement and regularly review an effective gift policy and undertake all necessary due diligence prior to accepting gifts, ensuring donations and grants are correctly allocated and used, and conditions met.
- Develop and maintain a detailed knowledge of EHAAT's current work and future strategic plans.
- Identify potential relationships and opportunities across the fundraising team, recognising where there is overlap.
- Act as a source of expertise in major gift fundraising for the charity, advising trustees, development board and executive team on managing key philanthropic relationships and partnerships.

We are seeking an experienced Events & Partnerships Manager, to play an integral role within a dynamic fundraising team. Responsible for developing our events portfolio, community fundraising as well as expanding and developing our corporate and donor opportunities. Role Purpose
Responsible for developing and delivering our Events and Partnerships fundraising strategies, to secure appropriate funding to ensure the sustainable delivery of high-quality services by Home-Start Essex.
You will lead on developing and delivering our Home-Start events and in-aid of events plus expanding our community fundraising activities. As Events and Partnerships Manager you will also use your experience and skills to identify and lead approaches to potential corporate supporters and major donors. You will create high quality plans and deliver against financial targets, proactively supporting opportunities to source income to support children and families within Essex.
To be successful in this role you will be a self-starter with high levels of motivation, with the ability to work autonomously and as a member of a small team. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Develop and lead on delivering the Events & Partnerships portfolio, to grow a strong our sustainable funding base through planned activities & clear KPIs.

· To lead on events, community and corporate activities with support from the Fundraising & Marketing Administrator.

· Manage the Events and Partnerships fundraising programme via Beacon CRM, developing account management and stewardship activities and maintaining detailed records of all communications.
· Direct and support the Fundraising and Marketing Administrator to plan and deliver fundraising events and support community fundraising.
· In aid of events:
Ø To plan and oversee all events and proactively seek opportunities to develop our portfolio of events, keeping a keen eye on income contribution and ROI.
Ø To form strong relationships with external partners, to deliver events and grow and develop the portfolio.
· HSE events:
Ø To develop a bespoke in-person mass fundraising event with high participant numbers and value per head and ensuring the smooth and safe delivery of all events.
Ø Establish a wider team of volunteer fundraisers expanding into local communities and providing guidance and leadership on events.
Ø To work with the Communications and Marketing Manager to ensure that all events are well promoted and all marketing avenues have been explored, helping to formulate and monitor marketing planning and delivery to ensure targets are met.
Ø To work with the Fundraising & Marketing Administrator and Volunteer Development Officer to recruit and manage volunteers.
Ø To ensure events are thoroughly evaluated and recommendations implemented.
Reporting
· To provide regular activity, income and pipeline updates to the CEO and Finance & Business Development Committee.
· Maintain accurate records of income and restrictions.
· Ensure that progress against KPIs and pipeline is effectively monitored and reported, flagging concerns and developments in good time.
· Ensuring pipeline development by maintaining Beacon (CRM), recording all stewardship actions and communications.
Other duties
· To attend fundraising events.
· To work closely with other members of the fundraising department to provide data and leads to help them maximise income for the charity.
· To develop an in-depth knowledge of HSE and understanding of HSE’s work.
· To keep up to date with best practice in fundraising and comply with relevant legislation.
· To act as an ambassador for the fundraising department and the charity both internally and externally.
· To undertake any other assignments within the fundraising department and wider organisation as required.
· Manage resources for the Fundraising team and contribute to budgeting and preparation for financial audits/reviews.
· To develop and implement short, medium and long-term strategic business and funding plans for Home-Start Essex, as part of the senior management team, subject to Board approval.
People Management
· Provide line management to the Fundraising and Marketing Administrator, delegating appropriately and building a culture which attracts, retains and motivates staff.
· Undertake supervision, appraisals and performance management actions as necessary.

Introduction to the role
This role will ensure that we are developing partnerships and applying for new funding in line with our business objective and values. We need to ensure that we are maximising our future income potential for new business as well as securing income to continue existing business. This role will work closely with the CEO and other business development colleagues to ensure that TAWS optimises opportunities nationally and regionally as well as across the breadth of the current and future delivery range. You will lead, plan and secure new business in these areas as well as provide line management for a small team of bid writers based nationally.
You will report into the CEO and work closely with senior colleagues across the organisation. You will work in close contact with internal colleagues such as CEO/ business development colleagues/ comms colleagues/ and delivery teams in West Midlands and Essex. Your role will work very closely with head of finance in establishing a clear and reliable pipeline for business opportunities and funding sources going forward.
The main purpose of the role will be to coordinate bids that are effective, well costed, realistic and in line business needs and values, and that we are suitably placed to participate effectively in key partnerships nationally, regionally and locally to ensure that we are able to embed in business areas and build effective partnerships for collaborative larger bids.
Main duties
- Undertake horizon scanning with the leads of the business development areas to ensure we understand key opportunities and are embedded in key partnerships at a national and local level.
- Work with colleagues on a joined up business development approach to secure new business and contracts
- Increase the number, range, and value of contracts secured in line with our strategic objectives
- Build and maintain a range of relevant partnerships to support the winning of new business
- Maintain up to date market and academic research available on the CRM and other systems within the team
- Develop and conduct effective business pitches to key decision makers and ensure that they are kept relevant by relevant reviews and updates
- Manage the bid writing team, oversee and strengthen our current funding operations
- Build on the existing portfolio of funding, which includes statutory and commercial tenders, as well as grant funding
- Ensure existing funding relationships are positively maintained, and relationships with commissioners are effectively managed, undertaking high-level representation when required
- Lead on the preparation of major funding proposals
- Track and report on external fundraising trends and help teams match opportunities with strategic priorities
- Proactively manage the organisational funding pipeline of opportunities and rolling submissions, as a tool for planning and decision-making

About the Role

2. Job Description
The Head of External Engagement is a key leadership post within the organisation. The role encompasses responsibility for the development and delivery of the organisation’s external activity, including profile, brand identity and stakeholder engagement (including the public), fundraising, and driving income generation in new areas, notably commercial partnerships. It also forms part of Sound and Music’s senior management team, who under the leadership of the Chief Executive are responsible for overseeing the organisation’s programme of activity, strategic development, external profile and a positive and productive organisational culture.
An experienced fundraiser and communicator, you will lead the external engagement team and support the delivery of its strategic and operational plans. 3. Key Responsibilities
Leadership and management
External leadership:

The Role
Reporting to the Senior Corporate Partnerships Manager, the Corporate Partnerships Manager will generate income and impact for the Stroke Association by identifying and winning new partnerships with businesses that have an affinity to our cause.

About the organisation
Our client is a major charitable organisation which provides support to community and voluntary organisations across the whole of North Lanarkshire. They are one of 32 Third Sector Interfaces (TSIs) in Scotland and a registered charity. The role is to:
providing guidance and support to community and voluntary sector (CVS) organisations of all types and sizes on a wide range of issues such as funding, strategy, governance, HR, ICT and more
Role Background and Purpose
- support capacity building and effectiveness of the third/community and voluntary sector (CVS), including social enterprises
- support volunteering
- support public empowerment and CVS engagement in community planning and other cross-sector partnerships
- manage a Health and Social Care North Lanarkshire’s strategic investment programme in the CVS – Community Solutions.

The role of CEO is to:
- Lead and steer the organisation in achieving its vision, mission, values, objectives, and outcomes.
- Ensure they remain a high-performing Third Sector Interface (TSI).
- Effectively manage and develop resources to achieve organisational strategies.
- Represent the organisation externally, promoting services, and enhancing its reputation with partner agencies and member organisations.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Provide vision and strategic direction for the organisation, ensuring alignment with its mission and goals.
- Governance: Work with the board of directors to establish and maintain effective governance structures and practices.
- Resource Management: Secure and manage resources, including funding, to support the organisation's activities and sustainability.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including staff, volunteers, donors, and community partners.
- Organisational Culture: Foster a positive organisational culture that aligns with the values and objectives of the third sector organisation.
- Program Development and Delivery: Oversee the development and delivery of programs and services in line with the organisation's mission.
- Financial Management: Ensure sound financial management, including budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Advocacy and Representation: Serve as the public face of the organisation, advocating for its mission and representing it in various forums.
- Risk Management: Identify and manage risks that may affect the organisation's operations and reputation.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor and assess the organisation's performance against established goals and objectives.
- Innovation and Adaptability: Encourage innovation and adaptability to respond to changing external factors and emerging trends.
- Communication: Effectively communicate the organisation's mission, goals, and achievements to internal and external stakeholders.
- Legal and Ethical Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant laws and ethical standards in all organisational activities.
- Human Resources Management: Oversee the recruitment, development, and retention of a skilled and motivated staff.
- Crisis Management: Be prepared to address and manage crises that may impact the organisation's operations or reputation.
About you:
Educated to degree standard or equivalent professional qualification.
