An exciting opportunity has arisen in North London for an experienced, passionate and enthusiastic Kinship Youth Worker to lead on a ground-breaking youth project aimed at supporting children and young people in kinship care.
Kinship is the leading kinship care charity in England and Wales. We work with all kinship carers – the grandparents, siblings, aunts, uncles, and family friends who are caring for children when their parents can’t.
This is an exciting and creative role for an experienced Youth Worker to lead on a groundbreaking project aimed at amplifying the voices of children living in kinship care.
With Funding from BBC Children in Need you will engage young people in North London to develop a group of up to 20 children and young people who meet regularly for workshops, activities and discussions about kinship care. With your support, the group will create a film which will highlight their lived experiences of growing up in kinship care. Working alongside a production company the successful candidate will support the young people to co-create the film and will play an active role in scripting, storyboarding, filming and editing.
You will be an engaging and creative Youth Worker who will lead on the development and delivery of a youth group based in Islington. The aims of the group are to enhance social connection, encourage positive wellbeing, develop self-esteem and provide skills for the future.
We support kinship carers in their homes and communities, giving advice and helping them work through problems to find the best way forward.
Prospectus is delighted to be working with Aberystwyth University to support the search for a Development Services Officer to join the Development and Alumni Relations Office (DARO). The Development Services Officer will focus on prospect research to advance the University’s philanthropic ambitions.
This role is offered on a permanent, full-time (part-time options available) basis paying a salary of £25,742 - £30,487 per annum. This is a hybrid role where you can work between home and Aberystwyth University.
Reporting to the Development Services Manager and collaborating across the DARO team, the Development Services Officer will work closely with an external research consultant and will use DARO’s CRM system and publicly available information, to identification, present, qualify and report on individuals and organisations with the capacity to become major donors to the University.

Purpose
This is a vital role sitting as part of the Senior leadership team at Hope and contributing to the future sustainability and development of Hope.
The purpose of the role is to manage all aspects of Income Generation and manage the commissioned projects which Hope run.
Developing a long term sustainable income generation portfolio you will have responsibility for your own income generation and manage the fundraising team to deliver their financial targets, motivating and monitoring them to achieve success.
Our current income generation activity currently generates around £1.2million per annum and it is the post holders responsibility to grow this income to achieve £1.5million per annum in the next 5 years to ensure Hope can achieve it’s newly launched Operational Strategy.
There is also a likely a facility move in the future, where the Head of Development would need to access funds, in addition to operational budget, for a facility transformation project.
As Line Manager for Hope’s commissioned projects you will have overall responsibility to deliver on the contracts for which we have been commissioned and identify growth potential for the organisation.
Responsibilities
- To Manage all aspects of income generation at Hope.
- To deliver a diverse fundraising portfolio to ensure long-term sustainability.
- To lead a small team of fundraisers and work with the Marketing Manager to achieve income levels as determined by the CEO and Board of trustees.
- To Line Manage and lead on all commissioned work, people recruited and project management.
- To be responsible for all reporting related to grants, trusts and/commissioned work.
- To be part of both Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and Senior Management Team (SMT), helping set the strategic direction for the organisation and ensuring it is implemented effectively.
Leadership:
- To develop and deliver a Fundraising Strategy and associated annual Fundraising Plans to achieve income levels that enable Hope to fulfil its Strategic Framework priorities 2024-2029.
- To work with CEO and our new ‘finance sub-group’ to develop and oversee our budget and forecasting process, agreeing targets, providing realistic profiles, understanding the seasonality of income, and highlighting risks.
- Identify new opportunities for income generation and deliver an agile approach to trends in fundraising and changes in society giving.
- Lead the commissioned program teams to achieve the desired outcomes.
Management:
- Lead a small team of dedicated Fundraising Senior Coordinators to access funds to ensure the ongoing delivery of Hopes Homeless, Hunger and Hardship priorities.
- To manage 1:1 meeting, annual appraisals.
- To manage all posts associated with commissioned project’s sitting outside our core objectives,
- To ensure that the values of Hope are embedded across all the work we do.
- To engage and maintain relationships with volunteers to support and enhance the work of the fundraising team.

- To be an ambassador for Hope in the community, showcasing the work we do across Northamptonshire to facilitate fundraising opportunities to fulfil your personal fundraising objectives and those of the wider team.

Fundraising
- Work closely with Marketing Manager to ensure a clear public donation pathway exists linking to website, social media, events promotion, and any other marketing- tracking success of each communication approach at increasing income.
- To manage all grants and trusts contracts from application to reporting and ongoing engagements.
- Lead on major donor, VIP and legacy events to ensure further income opportunities.
- To manage all commissioned projects from application, to oversight of project delivery, including management of posts recruited to reporting and ongoing engagement.
- Lead any future capital fundraising appeals for new of existing facilities.
General:
- To be an active and effective member of the Senior Leadership team and ambassador for the work of the organisation, our strategic framework 2024-2029 and our values in all you do.

Job Description
We are looking for someone who has the experience, skills and drive to grow our income, to build strong relationships with supporters and to lead our communications. This will initially take place in the community of Nottinghamshire and provides an exciting opportunity to develop your own strategic fundraising and marketing approach to ensure we can support hundreds of local bereaved children and families every year.

Kinship is in the third year of delivering the first national peer support service for kinship carers in England. We have created 145 peer support groups and supported and trained kinship carers to create and lead their groups in a way which meets their needs.
With a new contract from the Department for Education, we’re now entering a new phase of our service with a focus on:

creating 90 new sustainable peer support groups in areas of most need over 21 months;

We’re looking for an Advice Service Manager to lead on the day to day management of our Advice Service and grow and develop our Advisors.
The Students’ Union Advice Service supports a student population of 50000 with case numbers averaging over 3000 per year. We’re here to empower students to exercise their rights and options if they encounter problems during their time at university. We offer one-to-one advice on academic issues, housing, money and student finance issues and student life.
We’re currently going through a service transformation, and we want to lay the foundations for a thriving and sustainable Advice Service, able to meet growing demand and complexity of cases. We’re embedding a new staffing structure, and we’re looking for an Advice Service Manager who can support our staff to transition into the more senior roles available. You’ll lead on staff training and development so that we achieve our transformation plan.
As well as management, you’ll be taking on your own cases. About the Role
This is an exciting role which will support MSI’s successful implementation of European Union funded projects to increase access to, and respect for, sexual and reproductive health and rights in sub-Saharan Africa. Working in close collaboration with national and international partners, including government Ministries and civil society partners, MSI is currently implementing two EU funded projects:
The “Youth for Health (Y4H)” project is an adolescent-focused multi-country programme which aims to expand access to life-changing adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare (SRH) across six sub-Saharan African countries: Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, and Zambia. This is a flagship project for the EU within its SRH project portfolio and is implemented through a consortium of eight partners, which is led by MSI.
The ”Kelen Ya” project focuses on supporting women's and girls' civil society organisations to promote a favourable environment for socio-economic development in Mali. Led by MSI Mali and the Women in Law and Development (WILDAF), the project is funded by the EU delegation in Mali.
As a core member of MSI’s Global Programmes and Philanthropy (GPP) team, the GPP Manager (EU) will contribute to the successful implementation of these projects, taking responsibility for the management of sub-contracts for a number of consortium partners, supporting them to deliver their commitments and ensuring adherence to the compliance requirements of both the EU and of the other donors which will be co-financing the Y4H programme, in close coordination with MSI country programme leads. The GPP Manager (EU) will also support the delivery of internal commitments by MSI’s Global Support Office and Country Programmes. The GPP Manager (EU) will lead project management support for a portfolio of countries, working closely with MSI’s Africa Regional team, supporting consortium performance monitoring, risk management, work-planning, and monitoring.
In addition, they will lead on key pieces of technical work under the programme, coordinating technical inputs across key thematic areas (such as advocacy, disability, or youth), interacting with technical leadership and Technical Working Group members from within the projects, as well as external agencies. They will support the Head of EU Programmes to manage the external relationships critical to the success of the programme including with the EU at global and country level and with African institutions.
This role is for a fixed, two-year period from June 2024 to June 2026, with the possibility of extension subject to donor funding.

This role is all about developing a welcoming and supportive support group community for kinship carers wherever they live. Building belonging, resilience and empowerment for support group leaders and kinship carers.
Funded by the Department for Education, our national Peer Support Service is creating a sustainable and life-changing legacy for kinship carers across England.
This is a game-changing service for kinship carers and builds on Kinship’s 10 years’ experience of developing peer support groups, and two years delivering a national service which has set up 145 new groups.
As a Peer Support Officer, you’ll make sure we deliver an exceptional and consistent peer support service for kinship carers.
You’ll set-up and develop new in-person groups in areas of high need, as well as supporting existing groups to thrive, developing a resilient and powerful peer support community.
Purpose of the role
Taking responsibility for the North West of England, you will reach out and work directly in local communities to develop sustainable kinship peer support groups.
You’ll need to think strategically – mapping areas and utilising resources to be effective and efficient in managing your time and building local connections.
Using community engagement techniques like coffee mornings, community events and linking with our training and support service, you’ll build local connections and relationships.
As you develop a group and recruit support group leaders, you’ll provide standardised training and help the group to navigate forming and storming – providing reassurance and support to empower the group.
Once the group is stable, you’ll transition the support group leader/s over to the ‘Hub’ team to build confidence and knowledge to run their group independently. You’ll also support online groups and special interest groups to transition to independence.
You’ll ensure targets are met and that kinship carers receive a good experience.
Key responsibilities include:

The role
The Corporate and Individual Giving Manager is responsible for generating sustainable income by identifying, engaging with, and securing funding through individuals and corporate donor relationships.
Establishing sustainable fundraising streams is a top priority for the centre. This role will play a crucial part in strengthening our strategy for Individual and Corporate Giving, with a keen focus on continuous growth. Key responsibilities include identifying and cultivating a pipeline of prospective donor relationships, as well as creating compelling corporate fundraising campaigns and providing personalised stewardship to both attract new supporters and nurture existing relationship.
This role will sit within the wider Income and Generation Team.
