This is a new and exciting role which you can out your stamp on.  - assist with the implementation and management of projects across the Charity that support our mission and drive efficiency
 
As well as our Brighter Horizons team, you’ll also have a hand in supporting our trading subsidiary Ignition Brewery, making this a varied role, ideal for someone who likes to be involved in lots of things at the same time.
We’re a small team but growing and ambitious team, making the role really varied. Experience of administration is a must, preferably in a small charity setting. If you are a people person and are passionate about causes in your community, we want to hear from you.
What we need from you (the essentials):
- a minimum of one years’ experience working in a fast-paced administrative environment
 - experience of managing projects from design through to delivery and evaluation
 - strong organisational and time management skills with an ability to plan ahead and manage multiple priorities effectively
 - excellent communication and interpersonal skills
 - excellent skills in Microsoft Office and CRM systems, especially with digital collaboration tools
 - good written skills, with an ability to produce reports and other relevant documentation
 - an ability to maintain discretion & confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism

About the Role
 
As our Director of Finance and Resources, you’ll be a key member of our Senior Leadership Team, leading on:

About You
 
We’re looking for someone who is:
 
- Professionally qualified (or equivalent) in finance management and accountancy
 - Experienced and deeply knowledgeable in senior financial leadership and strategy development in the voluntary sector/an equivalent size charity
 
- A skilled and experienced leader and manager of people, contracts and major service change projects
 
- Collaborative, analytical, and proactive in problem-solving
 - Committed to feminist principles and to equity, diversity, and inclusion
 
- Ideally also skilled in overseeing IT, building and premises management and information governance, with training and support available where required.
 
As well as experienced Directors, this role would also suit an exceptional Head of Finance looking to step up into their first Director role.

Purpose of the role

The Prospect Research Manager will be instrumental in identifying and unlocking the potential of these supporters.
This strategic role sits at the heart of our Development team, building and maintaining a data-led pipeline of high-impact donors to advance ZSL’s conservation science, fieldwork, and education. By leading on prospect research, philanthropic analysis, and network mapping, the postholder will help ensure ZSL’s fundraising efforts are focused, proactive, and aligned with our organisational priorities.
The Prospect Research Manager will play a key role in overseeing best practices in prospecting across the team. From crafting research tools to spotting new funding opportunities, this role will directly support the success of ZSL’s fundraising programmes and, ultimately, our mission to save wildlife around the world.
This is a part-time role, with the option of working either 2 days (15 hours) or 3 days (21.5 hours) per week which can be spread flexibly over 5 days. We see a real benefit in face to face collaboration and staff work from our London offices regularly. We understand that flexibility is important and for this research-based role we are happy to discuss working location on a case-by-case basis with candidates.
The full-time equivalent (FTE) salary for this role is £36,750-£43,050, which equates to a pro-rata salary of:
- £14,700-£17,220 for 15 hours per week

Key responsibilities:
- Prospect Research & Pipeline Development: Conduct high-quality, targeted prospect research to identify and support new fundraising opportunities across ZSL’s priority income streams: institutional fundraising, individual giving, and corporate partnerships.
 - Strategic Prospect Development: Collaborate with the leadership team to shape and implement a robust prospect development strategy that aligns with ZSL’s organisational goals and long-term fundraising ambitions.
 - Insightful Donor Intelligence: Create detailed research briefings, biographies, and insight reports to support donor cultivation, stewardship, and strategic engagement planning.
 - Tools, Processes & Compliance: Support the continuous improvement of prospect management tools and systems, ensuring data accuracy, regulatory compliance, and adherence to relevant codes of practice.
 
About You
- Experience in wealth screening, capacity assessment and affinity analysis to provide propensity scoring.
 - Knowledge of data protection regulations and how it applies to prospect research and development (e.g. GDPR and the Fundraising Regulator Code of Practice).
 - Experience of successfully implementing a prospect development strategy to support increasing and diversifying income.
 - Proven experience in identifying and conducting detailed research on high-net-worth individuals, trusts and corporates for the higher education / charity sector.
 - Evidenced track record of supporting fundraisers with insights in fundraising to achieve six or seven figure donations.
 - Experience of using databases within fundraising for prospect management and reporting and making appropriate data management recommendations (Tessitura would be an advantage).
 - Knowledge of the principles of philanthropic analysis, relationship mapping and connections, and what makes a good fundraising prospect.
 - Demonstrable ability to engage, share expertise, and appropriately challenge senior stakeholders, including CEO with strong interpersonal skills and discretion.

Key responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
- Provide strategic oversight of RABI’s research agenda, ensuring insights shape organisational direction, new initiatives and create sector influence.
 - Lead the identification, scoping, and piloting of new services and programmes that address farming families’ health and wellbeing needs.

Research and Insights:
- Oversee the commissioning and delivery of the research strategy, ensuring a balance of community engagement, applied practice based work and academic partnerships.
 - Ensure research outputs are usable, timely, and embedded into any new RABI service design or pilot, and shared wider in support of advocacy and profile building.
 
Innovation and Partnerships:
- Lead major pilots including Farmers Aid Critical Care app and Click & Chat Mental Wellbeing platform, ensuring effective design, launch and evaluation.
 - Oversee the development of an organisational grants framework to support partners and extend reach and impact.
 - Embed new service models into organisational practice ensuring a structured handover to Service Delivery or other delivery partners to create seamless transition into BAU.
 
Cross-Organisational Collaboration:
- Work closely with Communications, Service Delivery and External Affairs to ensure alignment of initiatives with the overall organisational strategic intent.
 - Collaborate with IS, Volunteering and Fundraising to maximise impact and ensure integrated CRM data and insight.
 - Contribute as an active member of the Senior Leadership Team to organisational strategy, planning, and risk management.
 
Representation & Advocacy:
- Act as a spokesperson for RABI, representing the charity with credibility to external stakeholders, partners, and media as required.
 - Champion the needs and voices of farming people, ensuring services are designed with and for the community.

- Proven leadership experience in business development, research, service innovation, or related fields within the charity or public sector.
 - Track record of developing and implementing strategies that drive organisational growth and innovation.
 - Experience of leading and managing multidisciplinary teams through periods of change and expansion.
 - Strong understanding of overseeing a portfolio of research and its role in shaping services.
 - Ability to oversee the design and delivery of multiple pilots that are scalable, sustainable, and evidence based.
 - Excellent planning, programme management, and project evaluation skills, with the ability to balance a diverse portfolio.

Norwich Theatre is one of the leading arts organisations in the UK and the largest in the East of England, encompassing the historic Theatre Royal, the creative hub Stage Two, and the intimate mid-scale Playhouse. About the capital project
The Playhouse Capital Development project is progressing through RIBA stage 3 with a design freeze now implemented. Work will continue to bring together a final stage 3 report which will give clear costings and timeframes for the project, before submitting a formal planning application at the end of October 2025. We anticipate that following this we will seek final approval to progress to RIBA stage 4 and commit to a start date for mid 2027 and a schedule of works that will see the project completed before 2029.
About this role
This part time (average 3 days per week) fixed term role has been created to work cross organisation and to work collaboratively with a new-look Development team to secure additional funding to realise this transformational capital project.
The person will play a pivotal role in our capital fundraising campaign, delivering the fundraising strategy behind this transformative initiative. Working closely with the Assistant Director, Development & Partnerships, senior leadership, trustees, the development team and funders, the postholder will manage the key milestones towards a successful a capital campaign that will transform the theatre’s facilities and secure its long-term future. 
What we’re looking for
We’re looking to work with someone with proven fundraising experience, specifically in the charitable sector, and with the ability to secure funding from a wide variety of sources, and work collaboratively with a new Development team supporting shared targets
You should have experience of fundraising for capital projects and a strong understanding of the requirements of time sensitive capital projects for cultural or charitable purposes. You will have experience of planning and delivering major fundraising events for capital targets e.g. gala dinners and auctions.
