The Deputy Head of Fundraising will play a pivotal role in advancing our mission. This exciting opportunity would suit a fundraising professional with effective leadership, strategic thinking and analytical skills. Proven experience within the non-profit sector, with a focus on individual giving and major donors is essential. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to build strong and productive relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, both internally and externally.
The Deputy Head of Fundraising will join a small but agile team, providing them with experience across a range of income streams, a chance to develop high-level relationships with senior members of staff and senior volunteers as well as direct experience stewarding donors. There will also be opportunities to develop professionally with support on CPD and other training opportunities.

World Child Cancer is seeking an experienced corporate and philanthropy fundraiser to join our growing team and play a vital role in improving the chances of survival and quality of life of children with cancer in under-resourced countries.
About World Child Cancer
Over 400,000 children worldwide develop cancer each year. Childhood cancer is most often curable, with over 80% survival rate in high income countries. However, in many low-and-middle-income countries survival rates are often 25% or lower.
World Child Cancer’s goal is to help redress that inequity and improve the chances of children with cancer to survive and thrive in under-resourced countries. We currently work with local hospitals in 12 countries in Africa, Asia and Mexico to enable children with cancer to have equal access to the best possible treatment and care through awareness raising on signs of childhood cancer, providing financial, logistical and emotional support to address barriers to access treatment, training of healthcare workers and advocacy.
Overview of the role
This newly created Senior Philanthropy and Partnerships Manager role will play a key part in raising income from companies and philanthropists to help achieve World Child Cancer’s mission.
You will be passionate about enabling children with cancer to have equitable access to quality treatment wherever they are born. This is a key role in ensuring we have the resources to continue providing vital support to survivors of torture and human rights violations. We are building the tools, vision, and expertise to drive philanthropic income at Pancreatic Cancer UK and the Senior Philanthropy Manager is a key role in helping us deliver on our mission to double survival rates of pancreatic cancer by growing major donor income.
This role is responsible for delivering on three key areas of the major donor programme:
-Managing and growing a portfolio of major donor and high value supporters. Specifically focusing on encouraging and making the ask for long-term, multi-year 5-6 figure gifts.
-Driving major donor new business activity to build a sustainable pipeline using internal data analysis tools alongside network mapping exercises.
-Working collaboratively across the team to provide tailored stewardship journeys and experiences which build meaningful relationships with our closest supporters and demonstrate the impact of their support on our mission.

· You will be a brilliant relationship fundraiser, able to build relationships, garner trust and inspire action.
· You will be curious about people, their motivations to support us and able to pursue and seek out new opportunities.

Role Description
As Volunteer Programmes Manager, you’ll be responsible for managing the successful delivery of projects in the Decorate A Child's Life (DACL) and Adventure Play Partnership (APP) volunteering programmes. Your role will include managing the day-to-day operations for Volunteer Programmes, oversight of programme coordination, reviewing and updating procedures on a rolling basis and keeping good records, including financial monitoring and collecting impact data for regular reporting. This role may at times include attending site visits to scope projects, and leading and supervising groups of volunteers during project installations.
You will work closely with fundraising colleagues to match partners/corporate volunteer groups to projects, and from time to time you’ll contribute to scoping new opportunities to adapt our offer for potential partnership pitches. Our Corporate Partnerships Manager will be a key colleague, as you’ll work together to plan and organise volunteering opportunities and to plan and implement a high-quality volunteer experience that ultimately helps the charity to secure income generation corporate partnerships. You’ll need to take a lead role in monitoring and reporting on progress, including the expenditure budget for project delivery, the level of delivery and the capturing of feedback from both beneficiaries and volunteers.

As the Philanthropy Manager, you will join a collaborative fundraising team and focus on building upon existing and new relationships with major donors to secure income and support. Joining a team of six this role will have great support and will work towards a seven-figure team target. Also, with a prospect research function in the organisation, this role will be engaging qualified donors of all levels. To be successful as the Philanthropy Manager you will have proven experience in building and securing relationships with individuals capable of giving gifts of a four, five or six figure level.
