Teach First is looking for an exceptional, professional and highly motivated Interim Finance Business Partner - covering a 6 months FTC.
The role provides strategic analysis to support and challenge our stakeholders in making the right decisions for our growing organisation. We are a critical friend to the organisation, ensuring that we are maximizing the impact of our income and expenditure for our social mission.
The focus of this role will be budgeting, forecasting and management reporting as well as representing our team in organisation wide projects and driving consistent improvements in processes to add value to Teach First.
You will be a qualified accountant or qualified by experience and familiar in business partnering roles. The ability to convey complex issues with clarity and confidence is also essential as is communication skills with stakeholders through active listening and effective questioning.

The Senior Finance Officer is a key role working alongside the Finance Business Partner for ClientEarth’s Business Services and External Affairs teams (BS and EA) to assist in the production of the monthly management accounts, providing support to our budget holders and to a busy finance team.
This new role has been created due to an internal promotion. If you are actively studying for your ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification this role offers you study support while learning on the job, all while helping an environmental charity deliver on its mission of using the power of the law to protect life on Earth.
You will join a finance team currently totalling 23 colleagues working across our offices in London, Brussels, Warsaw, Berlin, Madrid, Tokyo and Beijing.
Meet your Manager
In this role, you will be managed by Kasheena Paryag. In 2017, Kasheena started her career in the non profit sector and has had various finance roles in both charities and grant making organisations since. Kasheena joined ClientEarth in March 2022 and is based in our London Office. As a Finance Business Partner, Kasheena is the main point of contact for our CEO, Business Services and External Affairs departments, and works closely with these teams.
Main Duties
- Management Reporting - Support in the timely and accurate production of monthly management reporting from Workday Adaptive taking responsibility for running the reports for a number of budget departments.
- Budgeting and Forecasting - Support, as appropriate, with annual budget setting, entity budgets, monthly forecasting, process improvements and budget assumptions including Adaptive Planning modelling.
- Data Integrity - Ensuring accurate coding of transactions, raising and responding to queries from budget holders.
Role requirements
- Actively studying for ACA/ACCA/CIMA. Study support provided
- Experience of working with Access Dimensions, FocalPoint, Workday Adaptive or other similar accounting packages
- Experience of managing deadlines through a financial month end process
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly of large excel spreadsheet functionality including lookups, pivot tables, data sorting

We are recruiting a temporary finance officer for a human rights charity. You will need strong experience in finance working in month end tasks and reporting . The role is for 2 months +

The Role
Month-end tasks
Process supplier invoices and staff expenses and prepare weekly payment runs in Sage 50 Accounts software.
Send remittance advice to suppliers.
Import staff expenses transactions from Expense's into Sage and reconcile staff accounts to Purchase Ledger in Sage.
Reconcile supplier records within the Purchase Ledger ensuring it is accurate and up to date.
Working with the Database & Insights Officer, post monthly bank receipts and income journals to Sage 50.
Monthly reconciliation of bank, Stripe and PayPal accounts to bank statements.
Reconcile credit card statements monthly.
Prepare and post monthly prepayment journals to Sage.
Prepare monthly reconciliations of income in Sage against Fundraising figures, explaining any variances.
Prepare monthly cashflow statements for review by the Head of Finance.
Reporting
Support the Development team with Donor reporting.
Prepare monthly budget vs actual reports for project teams.
Produce Sage expenditure reports for the Development and Program teams upon request.
General
Monitor the Accounts Payable mailbox responding to emails and requests in a timely manner.
Support the HoF and Development team with any other ad hoc tasks as required.
The Candidate
Extensive experience working in Finance to officer or senior officer officer level
Reconciliation
Working experience with Sage50.
Qualified or Pursuing formal accounting qualifications.
Understanding of charity accounting
Strong IT skills
