The role:
The purpose of this role is to ensure effective, efficient and accurate day-to-day financial management and financial controls for the Fidelity UK and international Foundations, including leading on management reporting, budgeting, forecasting and cashflow planning and delivering the annual reports and accounts for all four Foundations. The post holder will prepare all finance papers for Board and Finance and Investment Subcommittee meetings and will support the oversight of the Foundations’ investment portfolios. This role will also be responsible for managing all payments made by the Foundations, in addition to ensuring risk and compliance guidelines are adhered to at all times.
The person
The successful applicant will have a detailed knowledge of accounting principles, ideally with experience of the charitable sector, and a strong track record of day-to-day financial management in a comparable role. You will have strong analytical skills and be able to demonstrate both operational and strategic thinking. You will have a proficiency in accounting (with a relevant finance qualification) and will be able to evidence the successful production of annual accounts and monthly reporting, ensuring monitoring against budgets. Additionally, you will have strong analytical and reporting skills, exceptional attention to detail, excellent communication and presentation skills, and hands-on experience of explaining complex financial information clearly and concisely. Finally, you will have a high degree of humility and a collaborative style and will be able to pro-actively manage a diverse workload on your own initiative.

New Horizon Youth Centre runs a busy day centre from Monday to Friday, providing basic needs to young people experiencing homelessness and a one-stop-shop for housing advice, youth work activities, counselling, jobs, education and training support. The Services Manager (Day Centre) is a brand new role for the organisation. They will work as part of the existing Youth Work Team to provide vital additional capacity and expertise to respond to the significantly increased demand we have been experiencing. This role is primarily focused on delivering our frontline day centre service each week. You will spend around 2-3 days per week frontline as our Duty Manager ensuring the smooth running of the day centre. You’ll also be responsible for coordinating our weekly rota, line managing the team, overseeing our Locums, Students and Volunteers programme, supporting with donations and day centre stock, and delivering staff training . Karibuni Children, a UK registered charity, works to help Kenyan children from some of the poorest backgrounds, to fulfil their potential and release themselves from the cycle of poverty. At any one time, we are supporting around 700 children across Kenya and our aim is to walk with the children through their whole education. In addition to providing financial support to enable children to attend high-quality educational institutes, we work to reduce other barriers that may prevent those living below the poverty line from maximising their educational potential. This includes provision of nutritious school meals, school uniforms and shoes, learning equipment and feminine hygiene products. We also support initiatives focused on the empowerment of the wider family unit of each supported child, such as providing workshops on parenting skills, sustainable food production, nutrition, entrepreneurship, and business skills. The charity is seeking to recruit a UK Operations Manager to support the programme of work. The successful candidate will be one of only two paid employees, working with the Trustees to lead the charity through the next phase of its development.
Job Description
Salary: up to £30,000 – 34,000 full time equivalent depending on experience.

Role purpose:
To manage the UK Office activities and support Trustees in administrative tasks relating to Fundraising, Finance and Operational matters.
Key work areas and tasks:

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Unless otherwise stated, the term "staff" will include any paid staff and volunteers. Following are the key tasks that the successful candidate will be expected to perform:
Administration & Operations
● Develop and maintain effective and efficient administrative systems
● Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, policies, procedures and guidelines with regard to staff, equipment and premises
● Provide support to all IT (Microsoft & Google) and CRM (Salesforce) users and ensure data integrity and reconciliation to other systems
● Maintain staff records and contact lists, ensure good HR policies and practices are maintained.
● Create and maintain an asset register for all Karibuni owned items
● Assist the Governance and Risk sub-committee in any matters relating to Karibuni Children risk management
Finance
● Assist the Finance and Operations sub-committee in any matters relating to Karibuni Children finances
● Carry out bookkeeping activities, creating banking schedules and ensuring that all cash and cheques received are banked within agreed timescales
● Oversee Gift Aid claims and ensure that compliance with regulations is maintained
● Assist volunteer Treasurer with preparation of management accounts as necessary
● Maintain records for restricted and designated funds, reconcile Charity Gifts income and other income sources.
Fundraising
● Ensure postings to CRM are accurate and reconcile to financial systems
● Manage receipts from online sites and ensure that CRM system is updated accordingly
● Ensure that all donations are appropriately acknowledged
● Organise and manage Karibuni’s own-organised fundraising events, marketing events on internal and external platforms, registering participants, overseeing risk assessments, and maintaining related records.
● Provide a focal point for 3rd party fundraising events, ensuring proper communication and recording
(Pending the ongoing automation of some of these processes, there is the option for them to be delegated to a part time bookkeeper)
Marketing & Communications
● Make updates to the charity website and social media channels
● Design and publish the bi-annual print and email newsletter including writing and collating stories and images.
● Write and publish regular email communications to supporters.

New Horizon Youth Centre has been commissioned by the Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC) as part of an Alliance with Safer London, St Giles Trust and the Anna Freud Centre to deliver on their Children and Young People’s Violence and Exploitation and Reduction support service. Key Result Areas
- Deliver the definition, planning, development, and operational implementation of a new system(s) across the organisation.
- Developing the Project Initiation Document for Sponsor sign off that ensures effective estimation of cost, timescales, and resource requirements, including a detailed Quality Plan.
- Active management of project progress, scope, budget, risks, issues, resources, dependencies, stakeholders, vendors, and requirements throughout the project lifecycle, escalating to the Project Sponsor, as appropriate.
- Ensuring that Delivery Partners produce robust and realistic detailed project plans which enable critical path analysis, ensuring action is taken where these deviate from agreed tolerances.

Reporting into the Finance Director, the role is a key member of the team with responsibility of three staff, and the involvement in the strategic vision of the finance team. Main responsibilities of the role:
- Ensure the completion of all month end processes and the timely delivery of the monthly management accounts.

The Mencap Community and Events Team has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, motivated and passionate fundraiser, dedicated to raising as much funds as possible to help make the UK the best place to live for people with a learning disability to join our team as Senior Community Fundraising Manager covering England and Wales.
Covering the England and Wales the Community Fundraising Manager will be responsible for managing various income streams across the Community portfolio working closely with the wider team.
Within this role, you will achieve agreed fundraising targets through effective management, support and cultivation of both existing and new regional supporters including: individuals, groups, associations, local corporates and schools whilst maximising the current portfolio of Mencap owned products. You will research, identify and develop new community fundraising opportunities, areas of potential support and build a robust pipeline for restricted grants and corporate partners.
The role is home based. There will be travel around the areas that the role covers.
This position is a permanent, full-time role to work 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday. The nature of community fundraising is that there will be evening and weekend work, for which time off in lieu will be given.

About the Role
The role requires a well-structured and highly organised approach, to ensure delivery and reporting is of the highest quality and a creative and proactive approach, to navigate challenges and hold others to account, when needed. The project management aspect of the role requires someone who is an excellent communicator with responsibility to oversee Service Level Agreements (agreed outputs, outcomes and communications) between the organisation and Youth Zones, and their relationships with funders.. Whilst also taking time to bring Youth Zones together to share learnings and good practice, fostering collaboration across the Network, and support the Fundraising team in their stewardship of long-term donor relationships.
Seeking out new regional and/or national operational partnerships aligned with the Network’s priorities will be a new element within the role, focusing on securing a small number of brilliant, operational partnerships, which add value to core delivery.
There are also occasional Network-wide events for young people, which the Projects and Partnerships Manager takes the lead on, working collaboratively with staff to plan and deliver.
