The role of the Learning & Development Officer is to provide a consistent and high level of both operational delivery and administrative support by updating training information and maintaining training systems and processes. In areas such as leadership development, performance management, apprenticeships, and supporting a full range of mandatory, technical and management development. This relates to staff, volunteers, trustees and agency and contractors.
This role involves a high level of operational delivery, administration and multitasking so the job holder needs to be confident in being able to organise and prioritise their time and work efficiently, effectively and independently in order to be able to respond to a variety of requests and demands.

Role Requirements
- Maintain efficient administration systems that facilitate the smooth operation of the training function with the wider Organisational Development Team.
- Serve as the first point of contact for all enquiries directed to the Learning & Development Team, providing information and assistance as needed
- Oversee the management of the team inbox, ensuring timely and accurate responses to enquiries while taking ownership of all queries
- Process and oversee internal training bookings using Select HR (our HR System)
- Handle applications for external training, including organising payment and liaising with external trainers as necessary
- Manage all administrative tasks related to in-house training sessions, including generating delegate lists, preparing materials for trainers, and booking rooms, equipment, and catering as required
- Produce and distribute certificates for programme participants upon completion.
- Process invoices from external facilitators, including managing costings for other departments
- Organise & coordinate the training calendar for the following year by liaising with facilitators and colleagues and working with CET and Therapy teams
- Update schedules with changes/additions as they arise and inform training representatives and departments
- Planning and organising ‘ad hoc’ training sessions as and when required
- Prepare monthly induction programme including training memos, induction folders, session materials, catering requests & induction evaluations.
- Deliver brief Training session to new starters and help with tours where necessary
- Deliver appraisee training via teams
- Prepare for training sessions, including sending reminders, organising session materials, catering, room and equipment set up
- Create monthly training and PDR reports and chasing compliance where necessary working with line managers.
- Produce ‘due dates’ and other relevant training reports for managers as requested
- Deliver all training related activities for new starters.

The key responsibilities of this role are:
Impact Measurement
- Develop and maintain frameworks to measure the outcomes of all services and programmes.
- Ensure Success Measures (KPIs) and qualitative feedback tools are aligned to our Theory of Change.
- Work with the Families (service delivery) team to embed consistent and meaningful data collection across all services.
- Design simple, automated reporting processes to reduce manual admin and improve data use.
Research & Insight
- Lead internal research projects using beneficiary data, surveys, and feedback loops.
- Scope and manage external research partnerships with academic institutions or sector bodies.
- Design and deliver surveys to beneficiaries and the wider bereaved military community
- Produce evidence to support service development, strategic decisions, influence national policy, and funding bids.
- Lead our existing advisory group (for children and young people) and establish new groups as required (e.g. for adult services).
- Ensure that lived experience remains at the heart of the charity’s focus on understanding of the need.
Communication of Impact
- Create clear, accessible insight reports and data summaries for internal and external use
- Lead the delivery of the annual Impact Report (content, structure, coordination with teams).
- Develop quarterly insight packs for funders and stakeholders, with engaging visuals and stories.
- Work with the Outreach Squad to ensure impact is integrated into campaigns and storytelling.
Learning & Collaboration
- Act as the internal ‘voice of insight’ – bringing beneficiary perspective and data into key conversations.
- Contribute to team training on evaluation, feedback collection, and outcomes thinking.
- Participate in cross-functional planning, especially with the Service Delivery and Outreach Squads.
Policy (Light Touch)
- Track key developments in bereavement, Armed Forces, and youth policy
- Produce brief summaries or ‘position snapshots’ where relevant to Scotty’s mission
- Build relationships with other research and impact professionals in the sector
The 30-day goals for this role are:
- Build a deep understanding of Scotty’s mission, our audience, the services we provide, and strategic direction.
- Develop a deep understanding of our current Success Measures, Impact measurements and Theory of Change.
- Reviewing research and data produced by the charity and related external research previously published.
- Understand the data structure and reporting capabilities of Salesforce.
- Understand existing commitments (e.g. funder report, impact reports etc).
- Taken ownership of our 2026 Community-wide survey (project will be handed over upon start).
The 60-day goals for this role are:
- Audit current data quality and gaps across the F-Team Programmes.
- Support the publishing of the 2025 Impact Report (NB this might have be published but let’s put it in for now).
- Scoped and invited members to join our first adult lived experience advisory group.
- Analysed and shared results of 2026 Community-wide survey.
- Reached out to relevant impact and research groups to introduce yourself, particularly those attached the military or bereavement charitable sectors.
- Identified 1-2 relevant conferences or forums for Scotty’s to present at.
The 90-day goals for this role are:
- Held at least 1 adult lived experience advisory group session.
- Created and shared the first quarterly Impact Review for internal use.
- Fully taken accountability for impact reporting and research projects within the charity and able to demonstrate a clear plan of action for the rest of the year.
- Proposed an outline for the Annual Family Feedback Survey in September.

Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Compliance Officer to ensure the College meets its legal and regulatory compliance requirements as an educational establishment and a charity. The focus of the role is to be responsible, with the support of the Training Administration team, for all reporting to regulatory bodies in a timely manner to ensure the College meets the requirements of the Office for Students (OfS), The Open University (OU), Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA), UK Visas & Immigration (UKVI), UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), Competition and Marketing Authority (CMA) and other regulatory bodies. Key Responsibilities

Shannon Trust are delighted to be working with His Majesty’s Prison & Probation Service (HMPPS) to provide peer-led learning programmes across a number of prisons. To ensure the continuation of our programmes during times of staff absence, we are now seeking to recruit a Prison Facilitator on a bank working basis to work across the South Central region, covering HMP Aylesbury and HMP Bullingdon. Working closely with prisons and their staff, people in prison, Shannon Trust volunteers and mentors, this post will support with the delivery and development of our literacy and numeracy programme in the Central region, maximising opportunities for people in prison to learn to read.
Ideally you will have some experience of prison settings underpinned by the ability to build relationships quickly and personal qualities that include resilience, determination and a problem-solving approach. You will also have a willingness to travel, sometimes at short notice, to provide short or long term cover within the region including possible overnight stays.
This role will be prison-based. This is a bank role and so the number of days to be worked will vary and are not guaranteed. Overview
The Campaigns and Alumni Relations Office (CAR) at the University of Sheffield is dedicated to inspiring alumni (former students) and supporters to make philanthropic gifts, as well as giving their time and expertise. A donation to the University of Sheffield can change lives, from supporting students in financial need to furthering world-leading research.
As part of the Individual Giving team in CAR, this role encourages people to make gifts of up to £10,000 using a data-driven approach and a range of communication and fundraising channels. The Fundraising Officer will also coordinate our community fundraising and in-memory programme to typically raise over £150,000 per year, as well as project managing direct mail, digital appeals and stewardship communications.
Acting as an advocate for philanthropy, you’ll support and motivate volunteer fundraisers and play a significant role in delivering the University’s flagship fundraising event, the Big Walk. You’ll also support the team to deliver fundraising and donor impact communications using a range of channels (email, print, web and video). On an ad-hoc basis you’ll manage our team of scholarship ambassadors to help engage donors, this may include coordinating small telephone fundraising sessions.

Main duties and responsibilities

The Senior Youth Engagement Officer will lead the youth engagement and co production elements of the project. A key part of the role is to lead and facilitate the Young Leaders Advisory Board (YLAB), made up of 11 to 24 year olds who guide the direction of the project. Role summary
Here at Edward’s Trust, we are excited and committed to growing our service offer and fundraising whilst working with a small but mighty team. We have strong and realistic foundations in the trusts and grants income stream and a secure base of income from long-term committed funders. About the role
Asda Tickled Pink, now in its 29 year, is the partnership between Asda, Breast Cancer Now and CoppaFeel! Together we’re on a mission to make checking your boobs, pecs and chests, whoever you are, as normal as your Asda shop. And with the help of customers, colleagues and suppliers, we’ve raised £100m in the process. With our 30 year in partnership on the horizon and investment into a new community fundraising pilot, our goal is to ensure 2026 is our biggest year yet.
The role sits within the philanthropy and partnerships team, which is part of the wider high value partnerships and campaign department. It’s responsible for supporting the Asda partnership team to deliver key fundraising and campaign moments, whilst leading on the delivery of various engagement activities and events. Reporting to the senior partnership manager, Asda and working alongside the Asda partnership manager, and the comms and marketing manager to ensure the Asda Tickled Partnership is delivered to the highest possible standards.
As the partnership officer for the Asda partnership, you’re responsible for supporting the Asda partnership team in engaging Asda’s colleagues in fundraising and raising awareness, across stores, offices and depots, and encouraging them to get involved with Tickled Pink.
