Role Overview: The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of The Vavengers Charity. Working closely with the CEO and Board of Trustees, the COO ensures the organisation operates efficiently, sustainably, and in accordance with its charitable objectives, governance requirements, and legal obligations. The COO will oversee the charity's day-to-day operations, work closely with the CEO to improve organisational systems and processes, manage operational risks, and support the delivery of high-quality frontline, campaigning and convening programmes while fostering a positive and inclusive organisational culture. Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

• Support the CEO in delivering the charity's strategic plan.

Operational Management

• Lead the day-to-day operational management of the charity.

Financial Oversight

Context

Childhood First enables children and young people to recover from early life abuse and relational trauma, enjoy life and achieve their potential. We do this through the provision of specialist therapeutic residential care and treatment, together with family and network support.

The HR Assistant will join our supportive HR team and provide efficient, proactive administrative support across a broad range of HR processes and activities within Childhood First.

Purpose

Reporting to the Head of HR, the HR Assistant will provide dependable administrative and operational support across the employee lifecycle, helping the HR team deliver an efficient, responsive and compliant service to colleagues across Childhood First.

The Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH) is seeking an organised, analytical and collaborative Audit Project Coordinator to support the delivery of Epilepsy12, our national clinical audit focused on improving care for children and young people with epilepsy and their families.

Reporting to the Epilepsy12 Project Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day coordination of this important national audit. You will work closely with paediatric services across NHS Health Boards and Trusts, supporting high-quality data collection, responding to participant queries and helping services understand and use audit findings to drive quality improvement.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in a health or research environment who enjoys working with data, coordinating projects and building effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. You will also contribute to the development of audit systems, communications and publications, helping to ensure Epilepsy12 has maximum impact on clinical practice and outcomes for children and young people.

Key responsibilities include:
• Coordinating the collection of high-quality audit data and supporting NHS services with data submission and participation

Project Overview 

Anchor & Bloom is a community-based programme delivered by ARCC to support women from Asian and minoritised communities who have experienced domestic abuse and related trauma. The project recognises that many women face barriers to accessing mainstream services due to stigma, language, cultural expectations and fear of judgement. Anchor & Bloom creates safe, culturally sensitive spaces where women can access support, rebuild confidence and begin their recovery.

The programme combines trauma-informed counselling, creative therapy groups and practical recovery workshops with community outreach and early identification of domestic abuse. Alongside direct support for survivors, the project works to reduce isolation and stigma by opening up conversations within the community and strengthening safe pathways into specialist services.

To deliver this work effectively, ARCC is recruiting two Project Coordinators to lead the Mental Health and Domestic Abuse (DASV) strands of the programme and two community champions. These roles will work closely together to ensure women receive safe, coordinated and culturally competent support throughout their journey.

Role Purpose

To lead the domestic abuse and safeguarding elements of the Anchor and Bloom Project, supporting survivors accessing the programme while ensuring safe identification and referral for women who may still be experiencing active harm. The postholder will provide culturally sensitive, trauma-informed support, oversee risk assessment where needed, and coordinate appropriate pathways into specialist services alongside recovery-based activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Survivor Support & Safeguarding

• Support women accessing the programme who disclose domestic abuse.

The Vacancy

The Strategic and Commercial Partnerships Senior Adviser will support one of Start Network’s most exciting new areas of work. This role will be part of a new team, created in 2025, to scope, engage and manage relationships with strategic partners across the humanitarian ecosystem and beyond that will bring non-monetary added value in pursuit of our mission and vision for a locally led and proactive humanitarian system. Our ambition is to leverage partnerships to maximise the impact of our work, enhance our ability to influence system change, improve operational effectiveness and engage in the exchange of knowledge around our innovation ambition. The team will focus on strategic partnerships in areas such as – but not limited to- system change, innovation, disaster risk finance, humanitarian insurance, digital transformation, AI, and capacity strengthening. The team will also explore the value offer and commercialisation potential behind specific initiatives and services.

Based in the Business Development directorate, the Adviser will work closely with the Strategic and Commercial Partnerships Senior Manager to further strengthen the new function. The role will support on the external facing partnership development and management, whilst also playing a central role in ensuring the value-add catalyses inward impact at Start Network. As such, the role will engage with colleagues across the organisation and gain full insight into the full breadth of Start Network’s portfolio of programmes and initiatives. The role will also contribute to researching and analysing commercialisation potential and options for Senior Leadership consideration.

The successful candidate will have a strategic mindset and leverage their ability to creatively identify opportunities to maximise impact. They will be motivated by the opportunity to be proactive and take initiative. It will be key for the candidate to build strong relationships internally and externally, with excellent communication skills and an ability to convey complex ideas simply. Manage and Maximise Partnership Impact

• Build and manage a portfolio of strategic partners, including external engagement and  internal coordination with relevant teams

• Build relationships and collaboration with academia, think tanks and other organisations that can strengthen our work and influence

We have a range of services covering the length and breadth of the UK, delivered with by our dedicated staff and volunteers. Member and Audience Support

The programme is one of the Violence Reduction Unit’s flagship projects across Greater Manchester and is in line with the ambitions of the Greater Manchester Violence Reduction Strategy and Public Service Reform programme to involve communities to identify priorities, problem solve and direct investment and interventions accordingly. In Salford, the programme will be delivered within Little Hulton.

Hours: Part-time, 18.75 hours per week.

Days: To be confirmed (core hours are worked between 8am – 6pm, Monday to Friday).

We're looking for an Impact, Evaluation & Learning Lead with experience in impact measurement, evaluation and organisational learning to join our Research, Learning & Systems Change Team within the Innovation, Policy & Systems Change Directorate. 

This is an exciting opportunity to shape how Young Lives vs Cancer understands, measures and improves the difference we make for children and young people with cancer and their families. You'll lead the development of evaluation and learning approaches across the charity, helping us understand what's working, what needs to change and where we can create even greater impact. 

Working collaboratively with colleagues across services, policy, engagement, fundraising, digital and data teams, you'll bring together evidence, data and lived experience to generate meaningful insights that improve services, inform strategic decisions and strengthen our influence beyond the organisation. We're looking for someone who is curious, analytical and passionate about improving outcomes for children and young people with cancer.
