Schools’ Project Officer
The Mark Evison Foundation aims to promote the personal development of young people through challenge. We work directly with London partner state schools, encouraging non-academic proposals for challenge from 17-year olds (Y12s). It is fascinating work, bringing out the best in young people. Students must create their own applications and challenges, decide what they want to do, research and plan the projects and present them: we help with plans (sending comments by email), careful risk assessment and funding.

Due to expansion, we are seeking a gifted schools’ project officer for a key role within a busy team based in Dulwich SE21, Southwark. The work is varied and fulfilling.  

You should be a graduate from a good university, enthusiastic and very well-organised, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to work independently, manage priorities, work to deadlines, and take initiative. The post involves presenting at school assemblies as outreach, working with students to help them prepare costed applications, handling draft applications by email, and accurate data collection and input. You will need to deal efficiently and accurately with our administrative requirements, and have excellent PC skills – Word, Excel and Outlook. We would train you to deal with the work and our systems.

Salary is in line with experience, range £30k- £35k pro rata, depending on experience.

Support people with mental health needs to find and keep meaningful work. As an Employment Support Coach, you’ll work one-to-one with individuals to build confidence, overcome barriers, and connect them with opportunities that match their goals. You’ll also work closely with employers and partner services, playing a key role in someone’s recovery journey and helping them move forward in their lives.

IPS is delivered in close partnership with NHS mental health services, employers, commissioners and the wider system.

Supported Employment Specialists - multiple positions available

We support individuals with a range of needs, including mental health conditions, neurodiversity (autism, ADHD), and learning disabilities, to gain and sustain meaningful employment through personalised, strengths-based support. SEQF is delivered in close partnership with community groups , employers, commissioners and the wider system. 

1-year fixed term contract (may be extended depending on funding)

Hours – 37 hours per week and 28 hours per week

Selection process will include a telephone screening and assessment centre.

About the role

The Role

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Trusts and Foundations Fundraiser to grow this vital area of income. The Shipwrecked Fishermen and Mariners’ Royal Benevolent Society – “The Shipwrecked Mariners” for short – was founded in 1839 and operates throughout the British Isles. Our primary purpose is to provide financial help to fishermen, merchant mariners and their dependants, both retired and of working age, who are in need. The Society has over 1,200 regular beneficiaries and receives over 600 applications for assistance each year.

To help us continue to provide a great service to mariners and their families, we have an exciting opportunity for someone to join us in the role of Grants Officer.

Our grants provide practical support for individuals and families that are experiencing severe financial distress and help them stabilise their situation during times of crisis. All our grants are means tested and exclusively focussed on those on low incomes (with little or no savings). A significant number of our grants are provided to those in retirement, however we also support those who are unable to work because of accident, illness, disability, or for compassionate reasons, as well as those who struggling to find employment. Our grants are used to cover a wide range of needs but are primarily aimed at helping people maintain a reasonable and dignified standard of living. We also help those who are struggling with debts as well as providing immediate support to the dependants of seafarers who have died at sea or during accidents ashore.

We are offering this role on a full-time basis, with a minimum of 2 days per week (Tues and Weds) working from our Chichester office, but potential for home working at other times. Some travel will be required for the role, including occasional overnight stays.

To be our ideal candidate, you will be an experienced, self-starting administrator with excellent communication and IT skills and a great eye for detail. About the Role

As the Triage and Early Interventions Officer you will:

• Act as the first point of contact for clients referred into the service, ensuring that comprehensive needs and risks assessments are completed and a tailored response to each client's needs is provided.
• Deliver initial support services and ensure high quality support and effective triage work is completed for people affected by crime, in accordance with the Witness Service operating procedures and be responsible for delivery of a professional and effective telephone /video call-based support service.

• Respond appropriately to safeguarding concerns including both child protection and vulnerable adult issues.

You Will Have:

• Strong administration and organising skills.
• Knowledge of safeguarding issues and legislation relating to both child protection and vulnerable adults
• The ability to undertake needs and risks assessments and identify appropriate support
• Experience delivering services in demanding environments with a focus on customer experience and service excellence.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• The ability to work without direct supervision, manage competing demands, and maintain organised and methodical working practices.
• Sound IT skills, including the use of Microsoft Office and case management systems.

Practice Tutors (PTs) play a key role within the development and delivery of our social work curriculum, contributing knowledge and expertise to create a culture that promotes outstanding social work education. PTs are responsible for teaching and developing participants at the Readiness to Practice stage, regional teaching days and, in participant hubs within local authorities. 

PTs support four practice hubs, based within statutory children’s social care services. Each practice hub is led by a Consultant Social Worker (CSW).  Core to the Practice Tutor role is the ability to provide support, challenge and guidance to participants and CSWs to ensure a high-quality practice learning experience

This role provides the opportunity to genuinely align practice and theory. In doing so you need to be committed to evidence informed practice models and have an appetite to exploring different and innovative approaches to teaching these models

A little bit about you

We are looking for someone who can contribute to the delivery of teaching across the year, support participants in their local authority hubs, support participants during the 2nd year of Approach Social Work and become their dissertation supervisor during the 3rd year of the programme.

Monitoring and reporting: Track and evaluate programme delivery, capturing data on participation, feedback, outcomes, and impact. Contribute to quarterly monitoring reports and support external evaluation.

Stakeholder engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with schools in Wales, education stakeholders, and fellow partners. Represent the IOP in local networks and act as a regional champion for physics education.

About the role:

As a Research Officer, you’ll play an important role in strengthening how we use data and evidence across the organisation. Working within our Insights team, you’ll support the generation, analysis, and application of research to inform decision-making, improve programmes, and enhance our impact.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting evidence reviews and producing clear, accessible briefings.
• Supporting analysis of survey data and contributing to high-quality research reports.
• Assisting with the design and delivery of primary research, including surveys and evaluations.
• Helping colleagues across the organisation to understand and apply data and evidence in their work.
• Reviewing website content to ensure it is accurate, well-sourced, and accessible.
• Supporting the development of presentations and materials for internal and external audiences.

About the role

We are recruiting a Scotland Practitioner to join our multi-disciplinary team in Edinburgh. The role will involve delivering psycho-educational individual and group work to adults who are concerned about sexual thoughts, feelings and behaviours towards children. Assessments of clients and answering calls to our Scotland helpline will be a key part of this role. The majority of referrals will be adults who are under investigation or have been arrested for online sexual offences, including accessing child sexual abuse material.

This is a highly rewarding role making a genuine difference to children’s lives. It involves working within a friendly, supportive and hardworking team which is committed to keeping children safe from sexual harm.

This is a fixed-term contract to 31st March 2027 in line with external funding. We are optimistic that this post will be extended beyond this, pending continuation of funding in 2026-27.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be a dynamic Practitioner with a proven ability to drive projects to achieve required outcomes. You will be professional, proactive and outcome-focused with exceptional communication and engagement skills and an ability to develop partnership ways of working with professionals and agencies. You will have an impeccable understanding of child protection policies and principles and evidence of working with safeguarding partners to keep children safe from harm

You will be able to demonstrate confidence in translating the charity’s mission into direct child protection practice and equipping other professionals in tackling child sexual abuse.
