We are looking for a successful Individual Giving Manager to join our dynamic Fundraising Team. You will be developing and delivering innovative fundraising strategies to grow our individual donor base, maximise supporter retention, and expand legacy giving.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated fundraiser to play a pivotal role in increasing SANE’s income and building lasting relationships with donors.  This role would also suit a person who is looking to take a step up to a manager’s role to showcase your talents.

About You
We are looking for a passionate and creative individual giving fundraiser or marketeer to develop and drive forward the programme. You will have a track record of delivering against income targets and KPIs and be experienced in delivering campaigns and activities on time and within budget.

With excellent writing and communication skills, you will be able to build strong relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally. 

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and Manage Individual Giving Campaigns:

Help design and implement engaging individual giving campaigns across multiple channels (direct mail, digital, email, telemarketing, etc.).
Plan, manage, and execute regular giving programs, aiming to grow a sustainable donor base.
Monitor and report on campaign performance, using data to optimise and drive continuous improvement.

Recruitment of New Donors:

In conjunction with your line manager drive the recruitment of new individual donors through online and offline channels, focusing on building long-term relationships.
In conjunction with your line manager develop strategies for donor acquisition via social media, digital marketing, and fundraising events.
Create and manage lead generation initiatives to convert prospects into committed supporters.

Develop and Run Legacy Campaigns:

Design and deliver targeted legacy giving campaigns to raise awareness and increase donations through bequests and regular giving.
Ensure legacy messages are communicated effectively across different touchpoints, including online, print, and events.
Cultivate and steward legacy supporters, ensuring they feel valued and part of SANE’s vision.

Direct Marketing and Social Media:

Work closely with the Digital Marketing Team to create content for direct marketing and social media to encourage donations and engage with potential donors.
Collaborate with the Media and Communications Team to ensure that fundraising messages are compelling, on-brand, and reach the right audience.
Measure and analyse the impact of digital fundraising and social media efforts, making data-driven decisions to improve engagement.

Website and Digital Fundraising:

Work with the Digital Marketing Team to ensure the charity’s online donation platforms are optimised to drive conversions and facilitate a smooth giving experience.
Work with the Digital Marketing Team, Deputy Head of Fundraising and COO to develop strategies to integrate online donation opportunities within the website, social media, and email communications.

Donor Stewardship:

Develop and implement strategies for donor stewardship, ensuring individuals are thanked, informed, and engaged post-donation.
Maintain a regular and consistent program of communications with donors, keeping them updated on the impact of their gifts.
Identify opportunities to upgrade donors to higher giving levels and inspire loyalty.

Collaboration and Reporting:

Work closely with the Services and Media and Communications Teams to gain SANE Services statistics, case studies and up to date on general mental health information, to align individual giving efforts with broader fundraising strategies.
Provide regular reports on campaign progress, income generation, and donor acquisition metrics to the line manager.
Assist with donor relations and events as needed to nurture relationships and engagement.

Who we’re looking for

You’ll be highly organised with an eye for detail and ready to take ownership of website content, email marketing and social media scheduling to help tell powerful stories and grow supporter engagement.

You will have at least 12 months experience working in digital marketing, fundraising, email campaigns or website management, and be comfortable using tools like WordPress (or similar CMS), Campaign Monitor (or equivalent email tools), Sprout Social, Canva and ClickUp. Experience with analytics and a willingness to learn and innovate are also key.

This is a hybrid role, where your work will be split between your home and 1-2 days per week, on average, in our London Office. This may vary from time to time, so you will need to work in a flexible way to unlock your best work for our cause.

About you 

As our ideal candidate, you bring experience in Creative Production Management, project management experience and a degree or qualification related to project management or relevant experience in traffic management for a multi-discipline creative team, whether in-house or agency.

With previous marketing experience and excellent organisational skills, you are flexible and adaptable, comfortable dealing with ambiguities, building different scenarios into a plan, and meeting deadlines.

Skilled at managing relationships with diverse stakeholders across a complex organisation, you possess excellent communication skills, a proactive and innovative mindset and a desire to challenge, be challenged, and problem solve.

It’s also vital that you also have a growth mindset. AI is relatively new but exploding! We’re not expecting someone with lot s of AI experience, but AI is going to transform in-house creative production and delivery capability. So, we need someone who is open to learning and will help us on this journey.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Reporting to: Rector

Hours: Up to 18 hours per week (0.52 FTE at 35 hours per week) with occasional evening events or meetings. Core working hours are 9.30am-3pm on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Salary £29,061 pro rata, i.e. £14,945.67. Up to 4% employer and 4% employee pension contributions

Holidays: Five weeks paid holiday per year pro-rata, plus statutory holidays

Duration: Permanent position with monthly reviews during the 6-months’ probation period

PURPOSE

The Communications Lead will develop and optimise each communications channel so that the churches of St Matthew and St Paul connect well with each other and the wider community.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Working with the Rector and other clergy and staff, the Communications Lead is responsible for the following:

1. Strategy & planning

• With the Rector, prepare and implement an annual communications plan around key events and special services for the parish
• Maintain and develop the parish’s visual branding and style

2. Communications channels

• Oversee the generation of content for each channel, edit content produced by others for accuracy and appropriateness, and produce content, as required
• Website – develop the website to optimise its usefulness [NB a new website design is underway]
• Weekly Email – produce the weekly Mailchimp email
• Social Media – maintain and grow audiences on Facebook and Instagram; schedule content using Meta business suite
• Magazine – create a fun and informative printed magazine in-house three times a year (currently done using Canva)
• Video – record a weekly video message with one of the clergy, for use in the weekly email; produce other videos as and when required
• Youtube – manage the parish’s Youtube channel
• Produce materials and promote services and events across key periods in the church’s calendar (e.g. Advent, Christmas, Lent and Easter), through printed and online channels
• Promote the parish’s outreach groups and events (e.g. Coffee Pot, Bumps & Babies, Have a Meal on Us and Community Day), through printed and online channels
• Produce other printed materials as necessary (e.g. leaflets, posters, flyers and roller banners), in keeping with our branding
• Photography – take pictures when required, adhering to the parish’s safeguarding and consent policies; organise church volunteers to capture images when necessary

3. Other responsibilities

• Staff the church office on Tuesdays and Thursdays (e.g. answering calls and questions from volunteers and/or people hiring the hall).
• Liaise, as necessary, with the diocesan and cathedral communications teams
• Complete all necessary training and comply fully with all safeguarding, health & safety and risk management procedures
• Attend meetings as indicated by the Rector
• Other duties commensurate with the role, as may be required

PERSON SPECIFICATION 

The applicant will be able to demonstrate:

The Cleft Lip and Palate Association (CLAPA) is the national charity for people affected by cleft lip and palate in the United Kingdom. 

We are looking for a Digital Communications Coordinator to cover maternity leave and to support our busy Communications team.

The Digital Communications Coordinator is a key role within CLAPA, responsible for implementing our digital communications strategy to engage and inspire the UK cleft community. This role moves beyond content creation to take ownership of CLAPA’s digital communications across social and email platforms, ensuring online communications are strategic and data-driven. Working closely with colleagues across the organisation, this role supports the planning, delivery, and monitoring of campaigns that inform, support, and connect the cleft community in the UK. 

This is a hands-on role suited to someone with a good understanding of digital communications and a passion for community engagement. The Coordinator will manage day-to-day digital content, respond to online enquiries, and support internal teams with their communications needs. They will also play an important part in maintaining CLAPA’s brand and voice across all channels, ensuring our communications are accessible, on-brand, and effective.

Today, 12 children and young people will be diagnosed with cancer. We’ll stop at nothing to make sure they get the right care and support at the right time.

About the role

As the Brand and Creative Manager you will lead a team of two to collaborate with colleagues across the charity, external agencies and children and young people with cancer, and their families, to create and oversee the delivery of a calendar of content that lead to deeper levels of engagement, greater action and a significant increase in income. 

You will manage our brand identity, lead the on-going development and delivery of our brand guidelines and tone of voice workshops to empower colleagues to create their own audience-led communications.

• Lead others to identify the best routes and resource to delivering creative projects; provide professional expertise and guidance about the most appropriate design and production solutions; responsible for ensuring the visual and verbal identity is being effectively implemented across a range of outputs, both online and offline. 
• Lead the team and work with a roster of freelancers, agencies and children and young people to create evergreen multimedia content, by creating user-generated guides and sharing support. 
• Deliver on-going inductions to our external vendors and training to internal colleagues.
