About the role
As Senior Prospect Development and Insight Manager, you’ll lead the charge in identifying and qualifying high value prospects, overseeing rigorous due diligence, working with fundraisers to develop opportunities through the pipeline, and embedding a culture of collaborative, compliant, and insight-led fundraising across the division.
This is a unique opportunity to influence fundraising strategy and drive growth of Corporate Partnerships and Philanthropy income at Macmillan, equipping fundraisers with the intelligence and tools they need to deliver an exceptional experience for high value donors.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead the prospect development and insight function across Corporate Partnerships and Philanthropy
- Develop and implement a high value prospecting strategy to build a robust pipeline of qualified prospects
- Deliver high-quality research profiles and guide fundraisers in their own research
- Oversee due diligence processes, ensuring ethical and compliant fundraising
- Collaborate with fundraisers and leaders to monitor pipeline health and drive performance
- Foster a culture of curiosity, collaboration, and insight-sharing across the division
- Provide strategic analysis on fundraising performance, trends, and market intelligence
- Work with internal teams to ensure compliance with GDPR, the Data Protection Act, and ICO guidance
- Line manage and develop a high-performing team, driving an inclusive work culture
- Champion best practice in prospect development and insight-led fundraising
About you
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following skills and experience:
- Expertise in prospect research, network mapping, and gift capacity analysis
- Leadership skills, with line management experience (desired) and the ability to influence and deliver through others
- Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent research and analytical skills, with the ability to manipulate data to extract insights
- Knowledge of the current corporate and philanthropy fundraising landscape in the UK and globally
- Experience of using relational databases (ideally Raiser’s Edge)
- Understanding of GDPR and data protection compliance for prospect research

Location: Our office is a short walk from King’s Cross station in London. For this role, we need someone to come into the office at least one day a week, on a Tuesday. Job Summary
As a key role within the Fundraising Division, the Legacy Marketing Manager will work to achieve the essential long-term legacy income that helps Anthony Nolan to save the lives of people with blood cancer and blood disorders.
You will do this by shaping and implementing our legacy marketing plans to achieve our long-term income goals. You will develop an audience-centric and insight-driven legacy marketing programme to attract and steward potential legators. You will also have line management responsibility and oversee our legacy administration work.
Key responsibilities
These include but are not limited to:
- Develop and manage our legacy fundraising, setting and achieving agreed targets to help us to grow our long-term legacy income.
- Plan, develop and implement high impact, audience-centric legacy marketing campaigns to attract new legacy pledgers, considerers and enquirers. This includes activity across a range of channels from social media, digital, telemarketing, direct mail and events.
- Develop and implement compelling supporter journeys to effectively steward potential legators.
- Ensure that all legacy marketing campaigns are managed efficiently and effectively.
- Track, report and benchmark results to inform decision making for future activity.
- Overall management of our annual legacy income; management of our legacy administration, including overseeing the external legacy admin support.
- Build and maintain sustainable, constructive relationships with the team, colleagues and key external suppliers.
- Provide internal resources for learning about legacies, to aid awareness.
- Collaborate to ensure integrated planning for legacy marketing with the wider teams: Individual Giving, other fundraising teams, the register team, marketing and content along with other colleagues to identify sustainable ways to deliver our Fundraising strategic plan.
Essential attributes:
- Experience of creating and managing large scale, multi-channel, audience-centric and insight-led response-driving fundraising or marketing campaigns
- Demonstrable track record of achieving legacy fundraising success through integrated communications to individual supporters, with experience of effective supporter stewardship to drive loyalty
- A track record of developing and meeting targets within budget
- A working understanding of legacies and the legacy administration process and experience of working with solicitors and online will writing partners.
- Experience of producing financial analysis to improve lifetime value, including detailed income and expenditure budgets and reforecasts

Dravet Syndrome UK (DSUK) is a small independent UK charity dedicated to improving the lives of those affected by Dravet Syndrome. Dravet Syndrome is a rare neurological condition that affects around one in every 15,000 people in the UK. As well as experiencing severe, difficult-to-control seizures, children and adults with Dravet Syndrome have varying degrees of intellectual disability and a spectrum of associated conditions (known as ‘comorbidities’), which may include autism, ADHD, behaviours that challenge and difficulties with speech, mobility, eating and sleep.
The charity was founded in October 2008 by a small group of 30 families. Today, DSUK is a registered charity helping over 550 families with support, education, and research programmes, underpinned by a world-class Medical Advisory Board.
What you will bring
Essential
· Demonstrable experience in planning and delivering engaging and targeted social media content to build community, raise awareness and drive engagement.
