What the job involves

Our Events and Community Fundraising team raises vital funds for Prostate Cancer UK through a wide range of activities, events and challenges. Alongside our own flagship events, we recruit teams for some of the UK’s best-loved sporting events, including the TCS London Marathon, Great North Run and the London Landmarks Half Marathon. The team also organise our flagship walking event, March for Men, and our Tour de France themed cycling event, the Grand Depart Classic.

As Senior Sporting Events Executive, you’ll take the operational lead in delivering income across our third-party events programme, alongside project managing our team of London Marathon runners. You’ll manage at least one Events and Community Coordinator, supporting their development and ensuring the team delivers outstanding supporter care at every stage. You’ll also play a key role in spotting and developing new opportunities within the charity events market.

This is a hands-on role covering every aspect of event delivery; from leading project meetings, setting budgets and developing marketing plans, to crafting supporter communications, managing logistics and providing on-the-day event support. You’ll also oversee post-event processes such as remittance and thanking supporters, ensuring we maximise income and provide a first-class experience for every participant. Working closely with teams across the charity, you’ll help deliver a packed calendar of events and take the lead in coordinating our brilliant volunteers on event days.

About the Department/ Team 

RUSI’s Proliferation and Nuclear Policy (PNP) programme addresses issues raised by the development and spread of nuclear, chemical and biological weapons, and related technologies, through innovative research, dialogue and partnership with national and international bodies.

Main purpose of post  

The PONI Project Manager will be responsible for delivery and development of the United Kingdom Project on Nuclear Issues (UK PONI), a flagship project for the PNP programme. Since 2009, UK PONI has helped to address the nuclear policy and technology challenges of tomorrow by developing and sustaining emerging nuclear specialists from industry, academia, government, and the military, and by connecting them with established experts. Its goal is to build a vibrant and diverse community of well-informed, well-connected and capable nuclear specialists in the UK. 

To do this, it seeks to connect across boundaries, be they technical-policy, senior-junior, government and non-government, military-civilian, pro- and anti-nuclear, and internationally; it looks at ways it can help members of the nuclear community develop their knowledge and skills, including by promoting diversity of inclusion and representation; and it provides a platform for emerging talent, principally through its Annual Conference and through the UK PONI blog, Nuclear Reactions. UK PONI has great growth potential, and RUSI’s goal for the PM is to realise this by taking responsibility for driving the project forward, expanding funding and its membership, while maintaining the high standards of the existing programme and our established relationships.

Key tasks  

The Project Manager will: 

• Oversee and implement the UK PONI strategy, ensuring effective delivery and alignment with the wider Proliferation and Nuclear Policy (PNP) programme. 

• Develop and implement communications and engagement strategies for the UK PONI community and funders, including managing newsletters, social media channels, and marketing activity to enhance reach, visibility, and impact. 

• Build and strengthen the UK PONI community both online and offline, fostering collaborations with PONI partners and other organisations and networks across the UK with an interest in nuclear issues. 

• Lead on the production and publication of UK PONI’s quarterly newsletter FUSION and the Nuclear Reactions series. 

• Plan, organise, and deliver UK PONI events, workshops, and conferences in the UK and abroad, providing full logistical and administrative support. 

• Prepare materials for meetings of the UK PONI Board of Advisors and support fundraising, business development, and ongoing liaison with funders. 

• Facilitate business planning and contribute to the development of annual work plans and strategic objectives. 

• Manage bids, grants, and financial reporting, including the creation and monitoring of budgets and submission of reports to funders. 

• Monitor project schedules, track team tasks, and collate programme-wide project management information to support effective delivery and coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver the Ramblers membership acquisition programme to attract and retain new members and supporters. This includes integrated, multi-channel marketing campaigns (including digital and face-to-face) and a test-and-learn approach to optimise conversion rates, sales, ROI and life-time value, with support from the Head of Member and Supporter Experience. At the Ramblers our current key acquisition channels are Digital Marketing, telemarketing and private site.
• Manage our welcome and reactivation programmes (email, mail and telephone).
• Using evidence-based insights, work with the Head of Member and Supporter Experience to evolve the membership proposition (embedding Ramblers new digital assets, platforms, products, offers) to enhance our relevance and reach.
• Manage the acquisition budget of c£500k, producing timely reports to the Head of Member and Supporter Experience on income, expenditure and KPIs to monitor performance against plans. Lead the reforecast process for key lines accountable for and support the budget process.
• Lead key acquisition projects across the organisation, delivering to time and budget.
• Ensure regulatory compliance is embedded across team processes and communications in areas such as GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation), PECR (Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations), Gift Aid, and the Fundraising Regulator. Job Purpose

This role is critical for delivering activities with our prestigious corporate supporters while simultaneously building an impactful alumni community. The postholder will join Ada during an exciting phase of growth and will be responsible for both stakeholder management twitch volunteering and events and ensuring former students and apprentices are supported in their career progression and engagement through the #alwaysAda alumni programme. Our Head of National Services is a key leadership role in our Services and Support directorate, as part of our Services Delivery function.

Our National Services delivery team includes our ‘’National Hub’’ (or Helpline) as well as our Specialist/Peer/Self Management Services.

Our Head of National Services will be:

• leading on the delivery and continuous improvement of our National services, developing a high-performing and motivated culture within teams. 
• providing clear leadership to ensure our National services are high quality, impactful and respond directly to the needs of the MS community 
• responsible for the growth in the reach of our National Services, ensuring that we increasingly represent the diversity of the entire MS community and that decisions are driven by local need. 

We’re looking for: 

• extensive experience of leading successful national services of a similar type and scale as those at the MS Society, including helplines, remote and digital services.
• a proven track record of operating at a senior level within a service delivery function or organisation, engaging significant numbers of the community. 
• substantial experience of successfully leading and managing a large and geographically dispersed team of staff and volunteers, embedding change and fostering a high performing culture. 
• substantial experience of working in a senior leadership team determining strategic direction, financial planning and monitoring and ensuring successful delivery.

We are seeking a motivated and experienced individual to maintain the ongoing progress of the Foundation and continue moving the Foundation forward, building on the work of the Fundraising and Volunteer Manager.

We are seeking maternity cover for the Fundraising & Volunteer Manager starting November/December 2025. About the role

Our Head of Service Development will be: 

• leading the development and continuous improvement of our UK-wide and community-based services, ensuring they are inclusive, accessible, and aligned with organisational strategy.  And also working alongside our Digital Services Product Manager on all of our digital services. 
• overseeing the full-service development lifecycle, using evidence to drive continuous improvement and ensuring that lived experience is embedded into design. 
• ensuring that our new or improved services are operationally viable. Supporting our Fundraising to ensure that new services are funded. 
• Developing and managing our service development roadmap.  
• With the Director of Service Development, acting as an organisational lead for coproduction / lived experience. Driving best practice and upskilling in coproduction and lived experience involvement and participation across the organisation.

• significant experience of leading coproduction and service experience design, and ability to support others to deliver these activities. 
• ability to lead organisational discussions and be an authoritative champion based on subject expertise (for coproduction, service development and innovation).

About the role

Job Purpose:

We are looking for an experienced Management Accountant to provide professional, accurate, and timely financial management and reporting for Repowering London. Reporting to the Finance Director, you will play a key role in supporting our sustainable growth by ensuring sound financial control, analysis and statutory compliance. Working closely with internal teams and external partners, you will enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of our Finance function, contributing to the organisation’s overall operational excellence.

The role will include providing technical and practical support for Repowering and the family of Community Benefit societies which we service and in the future the growth of additional members.

To succeed in this new role, you will need to be a proactive and detail-oriented finance professional with strong analytical skills, excellent stakeholder management, and a genuine commitment to Repowering London’s mission and values.

Key Responsibilities:

· Management & Statutory Reporting: Prepare monthly management accounts, reconcile balance sheet accounts, complete statutory returns (VAT, Companies House, FCA), and support annual audits.

· Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist with annual budgets, reforecasts, cashflow statements, and ad hoc financial projections.

· Business Partnering: Provide financial insights to the management team and project leads, supporting effective decision-making and project financial reporting.

· Supervision: Manage and support the Finance Officer, ensuring professional development and alignment of tasks with departmental goals.

Nightingale Hammerson is an independent charity and a leading specialist in the care of older people. We have served the Jewish community since 1840. We have two care homes, Nightingale House in Clapham and Hammerson House in East Finchley.

The Role

We are recruiting to the new role of Resident Liaison Officer, to respond to enquiries from potential Residents, their families and social work teams. 

We are looking for an individual with excellent relationship building skills who can understand the emotions and challenges our prospective Residents may face when choosing to move to a care home. Your role will involve liaising with all enquirers, providing them with information about our homes and supporting them throughout the admission process. You will need to have strong administration skills and experience of using a database and the Microsoft office suite and be able to pull reports on all areas of the enquiries and admission process. 

A sales and marketing background would be an advantage for this role and understanding and respect for the Jewish faith and customs is essential.
