· To support the Digital Product Manager to work with colleagues across the organisation, commissioners, customers, the workforce, people with lived experience and carers to update and develop the SCIE’s website and ensure that resources are appropriate and useful.
This role sits within the Marketing and Communications team, led by the Head of Marketing and Communications, and working alongside colleagues in the wider Business Development and Marketing directorate.
What we are looking for:
· Excellent written communication skills, with a commitment to communicating clearly and in plain English.
· Excellent oral communication skills.
· Experience of Content Management Systems (WordPress, Drupal, etc) and publishing content for a website with multiple audiences and priorities.

Role Purpose
GDI Hub are looking for a Research Assistant to support the team across its portfolio of projects with a diversity of clients, partners and stakeholders.
The Research Assistant role sits within GDI Hub’s Community Interest Company’s Research and Delivery Team, led by Mikaela Patrick, Head of Research and Delivery.
For a portfolio of clients (for example, Asian Development Bank, World Bank & IFC, Carbon Trust and Dubai Expo City), and projects under the UK Aid funded AT2030 programme cluster ‘Integrate - Strengthen the systems which make inclusion a reality’ (for example, Local production Systems of AT, Designing Inclusive Dignity Kits for Dissemination in Humanitarian Crises and Climate Resilient Cities), GDI Hub’s Research and Delivery Team:
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative, primary and secondary research

Experience and Qualifications
The successful candidate for this role will be able to demonstrate the following:
- Experience working or academic study in relevant fields (including working closely and collaboratively with disabled people and disabled people’s organisations is desirable), such as international disability inclusion, assistive and accessible technology, accessibility and inclusive design, disability innovation and global health; with willingness to grow expertise across these areas.
- Ideally have some experience (approx. 2-5 years) working on research projects and/or practice-focused research in a related field. This could be as part of further study, research or in a work capacity. Real work experience is desirable.
- A post graduate qualification or equivalent work experience, focused on an area relevant to disability inclusion, accessibility and / or assistive technology.
- Experience and confidence to independently conduct qualitative research and analysis, and literature reviews.
- Experienced in quantitative research and analysis with proficiency in designing and running quantitative data collection via surveys and analysing results to inform statistically representative and robust results. Confidence to independently conduct descriptive and correlational analysis using for e.g., ExCel, Python, R or SPSS.
- Independence in producing clear and insightful infographics and data visualisations.
- Excellent written communication skills, with ability to take on writing of reports using clear and compelling narrative; experience authoring lucid and informative insights and reporting.
- Excellent ability to communicate, work in a small dynamic team, and collaborate with individuals with diverse technical backgrounds and with external stakeholders.

Doctors in Distress was founded in 2018 by Amandip Sidhu following the suicide of his brother Jagdip. Jagdip was a consultant cardiologist. He was overworked, burned out and felt he had nowhere to turn. He believed taking his life was the only answer. Amandip established the charity so no other healthcare worker would have to experience the same pain as Jagdip.
Healthcare workers are facing immense pressure. A 2023 survey showed that 34% of staff were suffering from burnout and 37.4% were emotionally exhausted because of work. The Operations Assistant will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of Doctors in Distress, managing a range of administrative functions across programmes, operations, marketing and communications, finance, and campaigning activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Online Programmes: You will coordinate programme delivery, manage speakers and registrations, and gather feedback.
- Operations: You will manage the main inbox, support financial tasks, assist with IT and CRM management.
- Campaign Support: You will contribute to impactful campaigns, such as the National Memorial Tree Campaign.
The Operations Assistant will have 3-5 years of administrative experience and strong organisational, multitasking, and communication skills. The successful candidate will be proficient in CRM systems (Beacon or similar) and experienced in using Microsoft Office, including Teams, and with experience using Zoom. You will be proactive, self-motivated, and detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple priorities. The successful candidate will also be empathetic towards healthcare professionals' challenges.

The Role:
I am looking for a motivated Media Engagement Lead to join their European communications team, this role will be working in a hybrid manner, with a least one day in their Central London office. This is a full time role with a salary of £52K PA.
You will design and deliver BRAC's media engagement plans across Europe, with a particular focus on the UK, Germany and Scandinavia. You will be the focal point for their media engagement efforts, building and leveraging relationships with key media outlets to raise awareness of BRAC's work and values.

What the job involves
Our sector leading Events and Community fundraising team raises funds (circa £12M) for Prostate Cancer UK through a programme of Community, Sporting Events and Virtual Products, including our flagship walking event, March for Men. Since 2020 the team have experienced income growth of 35%, and we’re proud that our activity has been recognised across the sector, by featuring in the Massive Top 25 for five consecutive years.
Along with recruiting teams in events such as the TCS London Marathon, Great North Run and the London Landmarks Half Marathon, we also deliver two-charity owned cycling events, the Grand Depart Classic and the Big Blue Bike Ride.
In the role of Sporting Events Manager, you’ll lead on the growth strategy and delivery of our flagship walking event; March for Men, with a key focus on co-creating and delivering a robust marketing plan. You'll be accountable for the performance of the event, ensuring that all stakeholders meet their responsibilities and deadlines to drive fundraising income. Your other key focus will be managing and working with an external delivery partner to ensure the event is delivered to the highest possible standard.
In addition to the delivery of March for Men, you’ll support the Assistant Head of Events and Community Fundraising to ensure we maximise income from our Third-Party programme of walking, running and cycling activities, whilst line managing members of the team.
This role will cover all aspects from; developing a strategy, leading project meetings, setting budgets, creating marketing plans, organising event logistics, and delivering event weekend support. Alongside this, you’ll work with other teams within Prostate Cancer UK to support the full calendar of events, including our Partnerships fundraising and Volunteer Engagement team.
Working with our Communications directorate, you’ll ensure that we make the most of every opportunity, from promoting the events to warm and new audiences, identifying and building relationships with our key supporters, to ensuring a high proportion of event participants continue to support us after completing their event.

You’ll have experience working in a sporting events team with a background of leading with the delivery of large-scale events, covering aspects such as marketing, communications and event delivery. You’ll also have first-class communication skills and have the ability to motivate and inspire for our cause. The Role
This role is new to the organisation and so the right candidate will be able to shape the role and make their mark in a growing organisation. About the role
As CUF works towards a new strategy and refreshed mission, vision and values, fundraised income is crucial for supporting its programmes and core operations.
