This position will begin assisting the Events Manager with the events programme and continue as maternity cover in 2025. Main responsibilities will include managing the educational events programme including in person obesity management training courses ‘Scope Schools’ as part of the SCOPE e-learning site held regularly throughout the year, and monthly educational webinars, alongside the Head of Education.
Also working with Head of Policy on medium sized events such as the Global Obesity Forum in person in New York in September 2025, and other smaller policy and fundraising meetings throughout the year. Also included in the role is managing webinars for World Obesity Day and other campaign days.
It will also involve managing the planning of the bi-annual congress the International Congress on Obesity to be held in Mexico City June 2026, overseeing the work of the PCO and organising committees to ensure development is on schedule and key milestones are achieved.
Essential skills and experience - experience of managing medium sized global events and conferences on an international scale, working with global stakeholders. Excellent administration and organisational skills, right to work in the UK and able to travel internationally on a regular basis.

We have a job vacancy for a Dementia Specialist to join Shine as the Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus (NPH) / Dementia Coordinator.
Shine has a membership of over 14,000 members living with Spina Bifida and/or Hydrocephalus and associated conditions and over 6,500 associated members.
In the last year we have seen a 25% increase in members who are living with Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus (NPH) across England, Wales and Northern Ireland. There are currently just over 600 members with NPH, plus their carers registered, but we are expecting this to continue to rise as awareness and diagnosis of the condition grows.
We are looking for an experienced, skilled, organised and dedicated new staff member to join Shine’s Services team to develop and lead our new NPH service.

About the role
This is a new role and sits in the Fundraising and Digital Directorate. Main Duties and Responsibilities
Project Management
- Working with the wider public fundraising team, support the development of plans and activity to manage a portfolio of acquisition, retention and stewardship campaigns including, but not limited to, gathering content, setting up landing pages, creating graphics and assets for digital content, designing ad content, as well as delivering email and social media communications and digital versions of our supporter newsletter.
- Provide digital support for each fundraising project from start to finish. Lead on creating segmented and tailored email journeys – source content and create briefs, liaise with suppliers, create and oversee data selections, exports and imports and manage sign off process.
- Manage our email welcome journey for e-news sign ups, and support on the development of other supporter journeys for a range of audiences across the team.
- Ensure continued communications and strong working relationships with the Direct Marketing Manager and Digital and Comms teams.
- Play an active role in coordinating digital communication plans across the organisation, working alongside the Direct Marketing Manager and Comms colleagues to suggest themes and content as well as creating/scheduling content as and when required.
Email Marketing
- Day-to-day management of the email marketing programme, including drafting, building and managing campaigns and automations, and managing audiences.
- Work with colleagues and draw on existing data to develop insights and understanding about our supporters. Use this information to develop content which is engaging, informative, and meets supporters’ needs.
- Provide support to the Public Fundraising team for all email content, and ensuring all content aligns with wider organisational goals and principles.

Accountabilities
There are three main activities within the France team:

As the Breck Foundation's new Project Coordinator (Pan Sussex), with the support of the CEO, you will lead the initial project set up, the recruitment of schools and young people, followed by all training and coordination of the delivery.

Breck Foundation is a unique and dynamic organisation that makes a real difference. The charity was founded in 2014 in memory of Breck Bednar, a 14-year-old boy who was groomed and murdered by someone he met online. We inform, educate and campaign to help young people and the wider UK public reclaim the internet from those who seek to harm others through it. Our educational programmes reach thousands of students, parents and safeguarding professionals each year.
The Project
Over the last few years, the Breck Foundation worked closely with Volunteer Police Cadet Units in Surrey and Tower Hamlets to train cadets as ‘Breck Ambassadors’, equipping them with the training needed to talk in schools to their peers about staying safe online and the key signs of grooming.
We are proud to take this successful project further having secured funding with the Office of Sussex Police & Crime Commissioner (OSPCC) to recruit and train up to 30 ‘Youth Ambassadors’ (for online safety) in schools across Sussex. The Youth Ambassadors will learn how to tell Breck’s story and empower young people with the tools they need to stay safe online. Working closely with schools to enable the students to become Online Safety Ambassadors for their school community, advocate for their peers and to be a voice of expertise and counsel. You will work with schools and community groups to generate impact through Breck’s story (on online grooming) and other important topics related to children’s online safety.
This flagship project for the OSPCC will launch in April 2025 (Coordinator starts in January 2025) and run for at least 12 months, with potential funding up to three years. We hope it will set a precedent for others to follow our lead and develop similar programmes for young people across the UK.

What the job involves
Our sector leading Events and Community fundraising team raises funds (circa £12M) for Prostate Cancer UK through a programme of Community, Sporting Events and Virtual Products, including our flagship walking event, March for Men. Since 2020 the team have experienced income growth of 35%, and we’re proud that our activity has been recognised across the sector, by featuring in the Massive Top 25 for five consecutive years.
Along with recruiting teams in events such as the TCS London Marathon, Great North Run and the London Landmarks Half Marathon, we also deliver two-charity owned cycling events, the Grand Depart Classic and the Big Blue Bike Ride.
In the role of Sporting Events Manager, you’ll lead on the growth strategy and delivery of our flagship walking event; March for Men, with a key focus on co-creating and delivering a robust marketing plan. You'll be accountable for the performance of the event, ensuring that all stakeholders meet their responsibilities and deadlines to drive fundraising income. Your other key focus will be managing and working with an external delivery partner to ensure the event is delivered to the highest possible standard.

· 24 hours per week (13 hours VC & 11 hours CFC)

Key Responsibilities:
To support the delivery of Dyscover’s Fundraising strategy by taking responsibility for Community Fundraising.
Main Areas of Work:
Funding – support and delivery of the Funding Strategy in conjunction with the Head of Fundraising and the Trustees • Understand and work within the Code of Fundraising Practice
• Plan, coordinate and deliver a community fundraising programme to meet agreed targets • Coordinate and develop the community fundraising team
• Be proactive in identifying community fundraising opportunities including liaising with local clubs, businesses and societies
• Communicate fundraising activities via email, monthly bulletins, Newsletters etc.
• Provide and distribute promotional materials for events • Recruit volunteers to support events
Volunteer Coordinator Main Areas of Work:
• Research, write and regularly review volunteer policies and procedures, including risk assessments, relating to all aspects of volunteering
• Liaise with Dyscover staff colleagues responsible for admin, marketing, fundraising and service delivery to understand how they work, develop partnerships and assess volunteering needs across the organisation
• Identify appropriate volunteering opportunities and match with volunteers who possess the right skills for the role
• Identify additional training or support needs that volunteers might have and seek to meet them. Provide inductions and training both internal and external (with Service team)
• Lead monthly volunteer meetings in collaboration with colleagues.

We are looking for an experienced Fundraising Events Co-ordinator to assist in the smooth running and successful management of our well established and growing events portfolio. Working with our dynamic events team you will be instrumental in ensuring that all World Jewish Relief events are of the highest standard and delivered with immaculate care and precision. This role is critical in ensuring that World Jewish Relief continues to grow and engage a wide-ranging audience, raising funds in support of our inspirational projects and programmes worldwide.
You will be responsible for:
- Supporting the events team in the planning, coordinating, administration and delivery of World Jewish Relief events including our flagship Annual Dinner.
- Managing and leading on the planning of smaller engagement and fundraising events both in person and online.
- Supporting and overseeing World Jewish Relief’s Young Committee by assisting with the delivery of their events and attending committee meetings
- Liaising with colleagues and partners to organise supporter Insight Trips: creating itineraries, booking transport and managing all details.
- Supporting and assisting donors who are planning events to raise funds for World Jewish Relief.
- Working with the communications team to organise World Jewish Relief’s participation at communal events and attend these events.
- Managing and leading on stewardship of World Jewish Relief runners in the London Marathon and other challenge event activities.
- Working with the fundraising and marketing team to launch and deliver a new fundraising initiative supporting World Jewish Relief's Home Repairs programmes in Ukraine.
You should have:
- Proven experience in event planning, coordination and delivery to a high standard, preferably within the non-profit sector.
- Demonstrable knowledge of event fundraising techniques and sector trends.
- Experience using a database (ideally Raiser’s Edge) to the highest level, both to record and analyse information.
- Experience in successfully managing numerous priorities at one time, meeting tight and non-negotiable deadlines.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
- Excellent administrative skills, impeccable accuracy and attention to detail.
- The ability to use your own initiative, make quick and independent decisions where necessary and to work under pressure.

This post holder will be based at home but daily travel to schools or other establishments within your allocated local area will be required including some early morning breakfast visits. BACKGROUND
Magic Breakfast is a registered charity providing healthy breakfasts to children and young people in the UK who arrive at school too hungry to learn, and expert support to their schools. Over 200,000 children and young people are on roll at Primary, Secondary, ASL / Special Educational Needs Schools and Pupil Referral Units that the charity works with, in disadvantaged areas of Scotland and England. Providing breakfast ensures that children start their school day with the energy and nutrition they need to be able to make the most of their morning lessons. Magic Breakfast also undertakes research, and campaigns for long-term solutions to end hunger as a barrier to learning.

JOB PURPOSE
Magic Breakfast’s mission is to end child morning hunger in the UK now and for good. The Service Delivery team is responsible for ensuring the delivery of our breakfast provision. As Engagement Partner, you will work with relevant partners (schools, local authorities, parents, parent councils) to ensure that breakfast provision is optimized, encouraging reach and providing education on relevant topics.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

To develop a relationship with the supported schools in their respective area, to enable, preserve, embed, enhance and extend stigma and barrier free breakfast pron.

To educating and engage with the wider school community, including teachers, parents and children and young people on the importance of breakfast and implications of hunger as a barrier learning through various means including assemblies, staff meetings, online events and regional events throughout the academic year.

To engage with the wider community to advocate for the importance of breakfast, the work that we are doing in existing schools and to support our campaigning and advocacy strategy and plans.
