We’re recruiting a fundraiser and project development manager to build on our creative, award-winning work addressing climate change and fuel poverty in practical, tangible ways.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who shares our vision of a different energy future: one in which energy is generated renewably and used sustainably whilst leaving no one behind in the journey. We are looking for someone who understands the energy sector and the unique role that a community energy group can play in the energy transition. It is a role for someone who can imagine community solutions to energy sector issues and to translate these into fundable projects.
Your role will be to work with our board of Directors and staff to come to an understanding of our mission and values and our strategic priorities and develop and resource projects that will enable us to meet those priorities filling gaps in provision. In a practical sense, you will work with stakeholders e.g. our staff, our members, local community groups, local authorities and clients to generate ideas for future projects. The direction of travel should be broadly determined by our recent strategic review.
You will work closely with our CEO and our Board of Directors to prioritise project ideas. You will develop partnerships, refine project ideas, identify sources of funding (Trusts and Grantmakers, Corporate Giving), draft bids and cost delivery on a full cost recovery basis, submit bids and if funding is awarded, mobilise the team to deliver the work. This role provides a big and exciting challenge for someone who knows the energy sector, understands the opportunity of community and grassroots solutions, who brings excellent written communication skills and is willing to learn how to fundraise.
Responsibilities:
Grant Fundraising Support:
• Work with the Selce community (the board, staff, volunteers and other stakeholders) to generate new project ideas that support our strategic mission
• Research and identify potential grant-making trusts, foundations, and statutory bodies that will fund project proposals
• Prepare high-quality grant applications; this includes calculating budget requirements, formulating proposals, writing proposals
• Manage the grant administration process and maintain accurate records of funding opportunities and applications in the fundraising calendar.
Commissioned Work & Tendering Support:
• Assist in researching and identifying opportunities for commissioned work.
• Support the preparation of tender documents and proposals, including gathering necessary information, budgeting and formatting submissions.
• Provide administrative support for contract negotiation and agreement finalisation.
Community Share Capital
• Draft community share offer brochures and associated documentation
• Support the implementation of strategies to raise community share capital.
• Assist in planning and executing share offer campaigns, including preparing marketing materials and organising investor events.
• Help manage investor communications and data, ensuring compliance with cooperative principles and financial regulations.
Develop and Maintain Relationships

Skills & Experience:
The ability to imagine and innovate and thereby build fundable project-based solutions working in partnership with stakeholders is more important that fundraising experience per se. This post would suit an Energy Policy graduate that has experience of either community energy or journalism (and therefore brings strong writing skills) or environmental projects

Award-winning music education charity, the London Music Fund, is seeking a Fundraising & Data Manager from October 2025 to join our small team of 3. The role is varied and interesting, with a fundraising and donor reporting focus – the post-holder will support the CEO with all fundraising for the charity, including writing Trust and Foundation applications, research on new prospects, and managing donor reporting. In addition, we hold 2-3 major fundraising events each year, and this role would support the CEO in all aspects of event management.
We are also looking for someone who is interested in developing our impact reporting, working with the Programmes Manager to develop evaluation frameworks, using and gathering data to support impact reporting to donors.

Key Responsibilities:
The charity currently raises c. £750k annually from a variety of sources including individuals, trusts and foundations, corporates and events. The key aspects of this role are:
Trusts and Foundations
- Research and draft Trust and Foundation applications, updating the prospects and pending report, managing pipelines.
- Manage the reporting schedule (with the Programmes Manager).
- Collate data for reports and maintain positive relationships with funders.
Individual Donor Relations:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date donor records on Salesforce and SharePoint.
- Respond to donor enquiries and provide excellent customer service.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Fundraising Campaigns & Income Generation

Partnerships Executive (Interim)
The Partnerships Executive plays a key role in developing CST’s commercial relationships. Their primary responsibility is to secure conference exhibition sales to meet budget targets and manage all aspects of the exhibitor experience from prospecting to on-the-day support, to post-event communications. The British Academy – the UK’s national body for the humanities and social sciences – is seeking a Training and Development Manager to join our friendly and collaborative team in the Research Directorate, providing key support in the delivery of the Early Career Researcher Network Leadership and Development SHAPE Programme.
The role
The ECRN Training and Development Manager will work closely with the Head of ECRN and the ECRN Training and Development Officer to deliver the British Academy Early Career Researcher Network (ECRN) and Wellcome Leadership and Advancement SHAPE Programme. This involves overseeing the design and delivery of training content, managing budgets and payments, and coordinating logistics across both online and in-person activities.
You will contribute to the development and implementation of efficient working systems, policies, and processes and work collaboratively with the Head of ECRN to troubleshoot and resolve operational challenges.
With responsibility for leading the planning and delivery of training programmes and workshops, as well as managing programme budgets and overseeing payments, you will also implement monitoring and evaluation frameworks to track impact.

Job description - Partnerships and Income Manager
Salary: £38,000 per annum

Reports to: Head of Commercial Services

Annual leave: 27 days FTE per annum plus Bank holidays (22 days FTE per annum under the Four Day Week)
Please note that at Waterwise we work a Four Day Week, under voluntary agreements which all staff members sign. This means that you will be contracted and paid as full-time but you will sign a voluntary agreement stating that you commit to employing efficiency tools both individual and team-wide to deliver and be paid for 5 days work within four normal 9 to 5 days - the office is closed on Fridays. Training will be provided and you will be expected to continue to refresh your training and to keep up use of the efficiency tools. Annual leave is also pro rata’d. Partnerships and Income Manager Role Description
The Partnerships and Income Manager role involves engaging a range of stakeholders to help generate greater impact and income for Waterwise. The Partnerships and Income Manager will be responsible for researching and identifying potential new business opportunities; conducting outreach to new and existing stakeholders to encourage collaboration; building and maintaining relationships with Waterwise partners, sponsors and members; and assisting with developing winning proposals for funding, in order to deepen the impact we make with individuals, communities and businesses across the UK. Strategy & Performance
· Contribute to Cumberland Lodge fundraising strategy and income targets.

Senior Management Team and Board of Trustees.
Compliance & Data
· Maintain accurate, GDPR-compliant donor records.
· Stay informed on fundraising legislation and best practices.
Internal Collaboration
· Work with programme and communications teams to gather data and case studies when required for reporting to Senior Management Team, Trustees, and to develop the annual Impact Report.
· Support the Leadership Team with strategic funding advice.
General
· Participate in relevant training and development identified in conjunction with Line
Manager.
· To attend and participate in weekly team meetings.
· Promote in a positive way the work of Cumberland Lodge.
· To maintain the confidentiality of the service.

Person specification
You will be able to demonstrate the following criteria:
Essential Criteria:
· A track record of securing five-figure grants or more from trusts, foundations and other donors;
· Knowledge of the fundraising landscape in the UK;
· Excellent communications skills, verbal and written, for a range of audiences, including creative storytelling and project framing;
· Ability to analyse and synthesise research and data into compelling reports and funding applications;
· Ability to develop full cost recovery budgets and carry out all compliant financial reporting;
· Ability to carry out all grant management reporting accurately and in a timely manner, with knowledge of GDPR-compliant data management;
· Ability to work independently, being proactive, organised and results-driven, while maintaining an ethos of collaboration and teamwork;
· Excellent time-keeping and ability to meet deadlines;
· Experience using a range of IT packages and platforms.
Desirable Criteria:
· Experience working with young people, youth organisations or in the education sector;
· Knowledge of the fundraising landscape internationally;
· Experience using social media for marketing and communication.
Further information
Hours: 14 hours per week (through an annualised hours working pattern).
Location: Remote working although the successful candidate will be expected to work from Cumberland Lodge a minimum of one day per month. Applicants should be aware that Cumberland Lodge is not easily accessible by public transport, so alternative forms of transport (bicycle, car) are helpful.
Annual leave: 33 days including Bank Holidays which will be pro-rata. The charity is closed over the Christmas period which will be deducted from the leave allocation.
Pension: Standard Life contributory pension (up to 10% contributions to support 5% personal contributions, with the option to increase personal contributions over and above 5%).

About the role
This role leads our individual giving fundraising through direct marketing and supporter care, helping grow sustainable income and engagement. It plays a vital part in delivering the Refugee Council’s strategy to expand our supporter base and amplify positive narratives about refugees.
Responsibilities include line management, using insights to inform strategy, ensuring brand alignment, and compliance with data and fundraising regulations. The ideal candidate will have experience in supporter acquisition across digital and offline channels, campaign planning and analysis, agency management, and donor databases. Strong communication, organisational skills, and a collaborative approach are essential.
