Job description:
As our Grant Writer you will be responsible for identifying appropriate grant opportunities, and managing the grant development and proposal process from research to submitting grant applications with any supporting documents.

ROLE DESCRIPTION
The PR is responsible for the preparation of a press kit and outreach communications to send to journalist and media companies to publish our news on their blogs, sites, socials etc.
Reporting to the Managing Director, you will create a pool of contacts on excel spreadsheet to use for press releases and media outreach on behalf of the organisation

The PRO will be responsible for planning, delivering, and evaluating the success of online promotional programmes. What can you expect to be doing?
This is a really flexible role – you can choose what you’d like to get involved with:
· Face-to-face fundraising – organising or helping with fundraising events, running supermarket collections and fundraising stands, monitoring collection tins

· Marketing – spreading the word about our fundraising activities, for example on social media and with the local press
· Completing administration – processing donations, sorting and recording donated goods, completing Gift Aid paperwork

What You’ll Be Leading
You’ll take the helm of SUNSHINE’s development, overseeing:

Strategic Planning & Vision Setting Define and refine our organisational strategy, ensuring alignment with our mission and long-term goals.

Programme Oversight Guide the design and delivery of our first services—community hubs, befriending schemes, and workshops—ensuring they meet beneficiary needs and reflect our values.

Team Leadership & Culture Building Inspire and coordinate cross-functional volunteer teams (HR, Marketing, Programme Development, etc.), fostering a collaborative and purpose-driven culture.

Governance & Stakeholder Engagement Work closely with the Board of Trustees, ensuring strong governance, transparency, and accountability. Represent SUNSHINE to external partners, funders, and the public.

Operational Development Establish foundational systems, processes, and policies to support sustainable growth and service delivery.

Impact & Innovation Monitor progress, evaluate outcomes, and champion continuous improvement across all areas of the charity.

Job Overview
The Abundant Woman is seeking a creative and proactive Social Media Manager to lead our online presence and engage with our community across platforms. This role is vital to increasing awareness of our mission, connecting with women who need our services, and inspiring supporters. The ideal candidate will be passionate about women’s empowerment, experienced in social media management, and skilled at creating engaging content.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and implement a social media strategy to grow our following and increase engagement on platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter.
• Create, schedule, and manage high-quality content, including posts, stories, and videos that align with our brand and mission.
• Monitor and respond to comments and messages, fostering a positive and supportive online community.
• Analyse performance metrics and prepare regular reports on growth and engagement, making recommendations for improvement.
• Stay up-to-date on social media trends and adapt strategies to ensure our content remains relevant and impactful.
Key Skills and Qualifications
• Proven experience in social media management, preferably for nonprofits or mission-driven organisations.
• Strong understanding of social media platforms, content creation, and analytics tools.
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills; ability to engage diverse audiences.
• Creative mindset with a keen eye for design and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or other design tools is a plus.

We are looking for women who hold feminist values and principles and who are passionate about the mission and values of TRC. We are particularly looking for Trustees who have relevant qualifications and/or experience in the following areas:
- Safeguarding, offering support to the chair and safeguarding leads with the management of safeguarding cases and keeping up to date with best practice
- Legal and Governance, including strategic planning and understanding of the wider political Greater Manchester landscape
- Human resources and personnel management, including a knowledge of employment legislation
- Financial management, planning and budgeting
- Public Relations, Marketing and fundraising, including awareness raising and campaigning through social media
- Capacity building and training, especially for volunteers
- Women’s health and mental health, outreach and partnership work with local services
TRC was set up in 2010 to provide a free, confidential and non-judgemental specialist support service run by women for women and girls who have experienced any form of rape, sexual abuse or sexual violence at any time in their lives. We are a feminist organisation and we actively challenge the values, beliefs and behaviours that contribute to women’s
oppression. Our mission is to raise awareness about sexual violence through providing training, guidance and information and working in partnership with local service providers and communities to promote the values of TRC.
