Job description

Pharmacist Support – the pharmacy profession’s independent charity – is looking to recruit an experienced Marketing and Communications Officer keen to create positive impact.

As a member of the Marketing and Communications team you will contribute to the development and implementation of our new marketing and communications strategy. Working closely with others across the organisation, you will help build and maintain awareness of the charity and raise income from a wide range of stakeholders, ensuring brand and messaging consistency across multiple communications channels.

You will oversee and analyse online tools to measure and evaluate the charity’s marketing and communications activities and ensure high-quality, accurate data that showcases our impact across case studies, infographics and imagery.

As Communications and Marketing Officer, you will provide support across the charity and work on a variety of projects, events and campaigns. In addition, you will also support internal communications to ensure staff and volunteer engagement.

What we’re looking for

We are seeking a creative individual with excellent design and social media skills. The successful candidate will also need to have strong written and verbal communications skills, experience across the full marketing and communications mix and a track record working with internal and external stakeholders to produce high-quality communications.

The ideal candidate will have experience of working within a similar marketing and communications role with the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of people using a range of communications channels. They must be compassionate, fair and willing to learn about the challenges faced by the pharmacy sector. An enthusiastic, positive and organised approach to work is essential.

We provide a wide variety of free and confidential support including an Information and Enquiry service, Specialist Advice, Financial Assistance, Addiction Support, Counselling and Peer Support, and a Wellbeing Service.
