As Community Connector you will play a vital role in fostering meaningful relationships between Raw Material and its diverse local communities, and stakeholders across the education, arts, youth work, community, and social and healthcare sectors. 

Working as part of the Programmes Team (and closely with other Raw Material staff) you will develop, coordinate and participate in the delivery of Raw Material’s CEP, building awareness of the charity’s creative and wellbeing programmes, facilities and broader services (e.g. workspaces).

You will develop creative ideas, partnership opportunities and produce and organise activities, events and initiatives that amplify Raw Material’s mission, and boost our reach, increase participation and engagement in our services, and enhance the accessibility, relevance and impact of our work, particularly amongst marginalised communities.

Project Lead - National Water Compact Delivery Accelerator

About the Role

The Project Lead will provide overall strategic, technical and delivery leadership for the National Water Compact Delivery Accelerator, a multi‑country initiative supporting governments to translate high‑level political WASH commitments into credible, investable project pipelines.

The role combines senior project leadership with deep expertise in WASH institutional development and financing, ensuring the Accelerator delivers against its staged milestones, meets the expectations of international financing institutions, and positions partner governments to successfully enter formal investment appraisal pathways.

In this role, you will:

1. Strategic leadership and delivery oversight

• Provide overall leadership for the National Water Compact Delivery Accelerator across all participating countries.
• Translate the approved delegated authority, staged approach and theory of change into effective, sequenced delivery.

2. WASH institutional development and financing leadership

• Lead the Accelerator’s approach to institutional strengthening, governance reform and financing readiness.
• Ensure robust diagnostics of sector constraints (institutional, financial, regulatory, macro‑fiscal and political economy).

5. Team leadership and coordination

• Lead and manage the core delivery team, including technical specialists and country team embedded roles.
• Provide direction and mentorship to senior technical staff, including the WASH Institutional Management Specialist and the Public-Private Financing Specialist.

6. Learning, replication and strategic positioning

• Oversee synthesis of learning, guidance and tools emerging from the Accelerator.
• Contribute to organisational positioning on WASH financing, national compacts and mission‑oriented delivery.

Requirements

To be successful, you’ll need:

• Substantial senior‑level experience in WASH institutional reform, sector governance and financing.
• Demonstrated track record of leading complex, multi‑country projects involving governments and financing institutions.
• Deep understanding of investment preparation processes, MDB appraisal expectations and blended finance approaches.
• Proven ability to operate credibly with senior government officials, donors and international finance actors.
• Strong strategic judgement, political sensitivity and leadership presence.

Although not essential, we’d prefer you to have:

• Experience leading or supporting national WASH compacts, sector reform programmes or investment accelerators.
• Familiarity with World Bank, African Development Bank or similar MDB processes.
• Experience shaping mission‑oriented or systems‑change programmes.

The Head of External Communications is a senior strategic leadership role responsible for shaping, delivering, and protecting IAPB’s global communications work. This role leads the organisation’s external communications function, overseeing global media strategy, press outreach, stakeholder visibility, thought leadership, and crisis and reputation management. The postholder ensures IAPB’s voice is influential across global health, policy, and development sectors supporting the organisation’s 2030 In Sight strategy and positioning IAPB as a leading authority on vision and eye health.

Role and Responsibilities

1. External Communications & Media Strategy

• Develop and deliver a bold, high impact‑ external communications strategy aligned to IAPB’s mission and the 2030 In Sight strategy.

Our exciting Health IDVA role is leading the way in forging referral pathways between GPs and specialist support for survivors of domestic abuse. You will build on our existing strong relationships with all the GP practices in Greenwich, provide robust in-person and online training to GPs on how to spot the signs of abuse, and manage a caseload of women referred by GPs. 

Aims of the Role

· To build and maintain effective relationships with general GP practice teams, and to recruit local general practices to participate in the DA Health programme

· To provide in-house training for GP teams on understanding, recognising and responding to domestic & Sexual abuse (DSA).

· To provide ongoing specialist advice and support around Domestic and Sexual Abuse to GP teams

· To encourage GP health professionals to ask patients about their experience of abuse and respond, record, safety check and refer

· To provide specialist, individual and needs-led DSA advocacy and support to female patients who are experience DSA who are referred from participating practices, and to provide onward referrals where appropriate, again initially via phone

· To provide signposting and onward referrals to male patients who are affected by DSA

· To provide feedback on case outcomes to referring clinicians

· To collect and collate performance and monitoring data for reporting purposes and with a view to further embedding and developing the Health IDVSA programme locally

Areas of Responsibility

1.  Practice-based work

· Work closely with the Clinical Lead to promote the HEALTH IDSVA programme within the area and to encourage local general practices to sign up 

· Negotiate dates for and arrange training sessions with practices that agree to participate

· Prepare training packs for practice training sessions

· Deliver, alongside the Clinical Lead, our bespoke DSA training to clinicians and non-clinical staff in participating general practices and prepare training materials where necessary

· Promote awareness of the experiences and needs of women affected by DSA, particularly in relation to their health, in partnership with the Clinical Lead

· Develop a good relationship with all general practice staff and work effectively as part of the practice team. This includes:

.   provision of systematic and support to the primary care teams of participating general practices, including meeting with individuals and small groups of clinical and administrative staff

.   Attending relevant meetings

· Maintain effective monitoring procedures and ensure that clear accurate records of practice-based work are kept and maintained, in line with Health IDSVA requirements

· Feedback on the use of the electronic medical record prompt linked to the Health IDSVA programme and provide patient feedback and case updates /outcomes

· Using the data collected, maintain an overview of local practices’ engagement with the Health IDSVA programme

· Act upon this overview to proactively ensure that the Health Idsva programme is well established and embedded, and that all local HEALTH IDSA -trained practices are engaging with the programme.

2. Advocacy and support service

· Provide support to women experiencing (or who have recently experienced) DSA referred by primary health care clinicians or MARAC

· Provide support to women experiencing (or who have experienced) DSA who self-refer from participating practices

· Provide direct assessment, casework support, advice, information and advocacy to women experiencing DSA through telephone contact, and/or meetings at the relevant practice

· Work with women experiencing DSA to increase their personal safety, and that of any children, and inform them of their rights and options in terms of housing, legal and welfare rights

· Develop good working relationships and liaise with outside agencies when needed.

· Keep accurate records of all referrals received and of work done with or on behalf of service users, in line with Health IDSVA requirements.

3. Reporting and Monitoring

· Attend and participate in the local Health IDSVA steering group meetings

· Contribute to monitoring and evaluation of the Health IDSVA programme, by:

- Collecting and collating all practice-based and referral and advocacy data and monitoring, as requested

- Producing written reports as requested (e.g. quarterly reports, annual report), including for the local Health IDSVA steering group

·       Participate in multi-agency working parties and focus groups, when requested to do so by the Director or your manager.

·  Provide advice and training at a range of locations as requested for both professionals and the public

· Keep up to date on research, policy development and other literature relevant to the project. Attend relevant conferences and seminars on behalf of the project.

4. Other

· Attend team meetings, relevant meetings with trustees and to be part of Her Centre outreach marketing

· Attend training as identified with your manager

The role is responsible for ensuring that priority WASH projects are financially credible, appropriately structured and aligned with the requirements of public, concessional and where relevant private finance providers, enabling formal entry into financing appraisal and investment pipelines.

In this role, you will:

1. Financing diagnostics and strategy (Stage 2)

• Lead or contribute to country‑level diagnostics of WASH financing constraints, including budget flows, fiscal space, creditworthiness, and investor risk perceptions.
• Analyse the balance between public, concessional, blended and potential private finance options.

2. Project prioritisation and financing alignment (Stage 3)

• Support the assessment and prioritisation of WASH project concepts against financing institution criteria.
• Advise on project scale, affordability and financial structuring options, with ambition for large‑scale (>$100m) investments where feasible.

3. Project structuring and investment readiness (Stage 4)

Lead financial inputs into full project development, including:

• indicative financing structures.
• proposed sources of finance.
• allocation of financial and non‑financial risks; and
• affordability and sustainability considerations.

4. Engagement with financing institutions (Stages 3–6)

• Support structured engagement with multilateral development banks, DFIs, bilateral financiers and philanthropic funders.
• Interpret and translate financing partner requirements into actionable guidance for government teams.
• Support progression of priority projects into formal concept review, pre‑appraisal or appraisal queues.

5. Public–private interface and blended finance (where relevant)

• Assess the potential role of private finance, guarantees or delegated management models within public‑led WASH investments.
• Advise on risk‑sharing mechanisms, viability support and blending approaches appropriate to country context.

6. Quality assurance, learning and guidance

• Contribute to internal quality assurance of financing diagnostics, project concepts and full project packages.
• Document lessons on WASH financing pathways, including what has and has not proved credible with financing institutions.

In this role, you will support the operational delivery of WCRF International’s grant programmes across both pre-award and post-award activities. About Depaul UK

In the 1980s, high unemployment and steep inflation was contributing to a shocking rise in youth homelessness across London. Thousands of young people were sleeping rough every night, with many areas notoriously dubbed “cardboard cities” due to the visible rise in street homelessness. Appalled by the scenes playing out across the capital, a group of people came together to tackle the challenge head on. Led by Cardinal Basil Hume and Mark McGreevy OBE, in 1989 Depaul UK was born.

What began as a single housing project in North London soon expanded across London, Greater Manchester and the North East of England. Today, Depaul UK provides accommodation, prevention and support services to thousands of marginalised young people across the UK each year.

As our name suggests, the work of Depaul UK has been inspired by St. Vincent de Paul – a man who devoted his life to helping vast numbers of people throughout the 17th century. One Newham is a network of voluntary and community organisations that are rooted in local communities and work to improve the lives of people in Newham. One Newham was created so that members learn from each other, benefit from each other’s strengths and expertise and through collaboration, innovate to find the best solutions to the issues that concern local people and communities, and the funds to support these.

Purpose of the Role

The Administrator / Finance Officer plays a key role in the smooth running of One Newham. The postholder will provide reliable financial administration, maintain accurate records, support budgeting and reporting cycles, and ensure effective office and administrative systems are in place, with a strong emphasis on finance.

Key Responsibilities

Finance (priority area)

• Maintain accurate financial records on QuickBooks.

• Prepare bank reconciliations and assist with cashflow forecasts.

• Process invoices, expenses and reimbursements.

• Prepare draft management accounts.

• Support annual budget preparation and monitoring.

• Administer SafeHR (online payroll system) and manage pension returns.

• Maintain grant and project financial trackers.

• Ensure compliance with financial policies.

Administration & Office Management

• Maintain administrative systems and filing structures.

• Oversee supplies, equipment and IT procurement.

• Support onboarding of staff and volunteers.

• Act as first point of contact for routine enquiries.

• Arrange meetings, take minutes and support diary coordination.

• Assist the Network Coordinator in the organisation of network events and conferences as required, including the annual conference and Green Fair.

• Prepare board papers and governance documentation.

• Maintain databases and contact lists.

IT & Systems Support

• Coordinate basic IT troubleshooting and liaise with external providers.

• Maintain equipment records, licences and renewals.

• Support development of internal processes and digital tools.

Community Hire Scheme

• Coordinate the Community Hire Scheme, set up booking procedures, payments and deposits, and coordinate collections and returns.

• Organise regular maintenance of the equipment for hire.

• Liaise with and support the Hire Scheme volunteers and ensure that their expenses are paid on time.

• Promote the scheme widely and ensure that it is taken up by local residents and community groups.

Member and Network Communications

• Maintain up-to-date contact lists and mailing groups for One Newham members and partners.

• Support the production and circulation of member communications, including e-bulletins, newsletters and event invitations.

• Upload and update content on the One Newham website and/or member portals (where applicable).

• Assist with communications for forums, training sessions and network events (e.g. creating simple flyers, booking links, reminders).

• Help ensure a consistent, timely flow of information to members about opportunities, funding, training and key local developments.

Person Specification

Essential Experience and Knowledge

• Experience in a finance-focused administrative role, ideally in a charity or small organisation.

• Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks.

• Experience maintaining financial records, processing invoices and preparing reconciliations.

• Good understanding of office administration systems and general office management.

• Strong IT skills, including Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint/OneDrive) and Google apps.

• Experience maintaining contact lists or simple CRM/mailing systems.

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail, particularly in financial work.

• Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft clear emails and simple updates for members.

Job Title - Homelessness and Housing Law Advisor or Solicitor

Contract - Fixed Term – 3 years

Hours - 21 hours per week

Salary Range - £36,000 - £39,000 FTE (£21,600 - £23,400 pro rata)

Coram is the UK’s oldest children’s charity founded by Thomas Coram in London helping vulnerable children and young people since 1739. One of the twelve members of the Coram group, Coram Children’s Legal Centre (CCLC) is the UK’s specialist centre for children’s rights in education, immigration, community care and family law, and provides significant international legal systems consultancy.  The centre is located on the Coram Campus in central London with a base in Colchester. We champion access to justice through information and advice, legal practice and representation, policy and strategic litigation.  Our Legal Practice Unit provides advice and representation primarily under legal aid contract.  Our Policy and Practice Change team promotes practice change through training and capacity building to professionals and secures systems change through research, policy and advocacy.

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a multidisciplinary team working to tackle youth homelessness. 

This role is funded by the Oak Foundation and forms part of Coram’s Voices in Action programme which combines CCLC’s legal work, Coram Voice’s advocacy support and Coram’s policy and participation work to champion young people’s rights and create change.  It centres and amplifies the voices of young people through our young ambassadors with personal experience of homelessness or school exclusion. The young ambassadors campaign locally and nationally to change policy and practice and empower their peers with knowledge of their rights through workshop delivery and content creation. 

Working with others across the group, the purpose of this specific role is to provide specialist housing law advice, preliminary casework and onward referrals to young people under the age of 25 experiencing housing related issues.  This will include delivering regular outreach advice sessions in partnership with community organisations.  The post holder will work with the Head of Community Care Law on project design, co-ordination, delivery and reporting.  Supported by the Head of Community Care Law, they will be proactive in developing community partnerships and managing relationships with partner organisations.

The role will be integrated within the wider community care and public law team and will be supported by the Head of Community Care Law.  Building on the existing expertise and practice within the team, there will be a particular focus on advising and supporting young people who are care experienced, should have benefited from care or are young migrants.  The aim is to diagnose complex legal issues relating to housing and homelessness, to ensure young people understand their position and legal rights and are either supported to take steps to realise those rights, provided with preliminary casework to resolve issue at early stage, or where needed, referred on for complex casework and litigation either internally or externally.

The role would suit an experienced housing law advisor or caseworker. We welcome applications from solicitors and non-solicitors.  The priority is experience delivering high quality housing law advice and casework sensitively to vulnerable clients with a track record of delivering against project targets and meticulous case management skills. We are looking for a committed, resourceful and determined housing law advisor with a positive and solutions focussed attitude who is able to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team. They will be well supported with access to training, supportive line management and will benefit from being part of a wider collaborative legal practice team. They will work closely with a paralegal and be responsible for helping to develop the paralegal’s knowledge and understanding of housing related law.

The role will be based in our offices and with regular advice delivery in outreach locations. However, some remote/ hybrid working may be possible depending on the experience of the candidate after the initial settling in period. There may be flexibility over how the three days will be spread across the week (within working hours) and in accordance with the needs of the project.
