Your experience:
Must haves
- Solid grasp of parliamentary processes in Westminster and the Devolved Nations, and familiarity with wider Parliamentary functions and vehicles – e.g. All Party Parliamentary and Cross-Party Groups.
- Prior experience of working in public affairs or similar field.
- Experience of regular political monitoring and familiarity with utilising political monitoring services - i.e. DeHavilland, Polimonitor or similar.
- Ability to advance projects independently with appropriate support from senior team members, while contributing effectively to team efforts.
- Experience of producing briefing notes for stakeholder meetings and updating on policy developments for a variety of audiences.
- Comfortable drafting written communications designed for political audiences – i.e. emails, letters, briefing notes.
- Ability to proactively identify opportunities to influence policy and shape political activity.
- Strong communication skills, with an ability to grasp complex issues quickly and share information in an accessible way to a variety of audiences.

Your mission
We are looking for an experienced, forward-thinking Head of Communications who will be responsible for the global communication strategy and ensure that key stakeholders, such as (institutional) fundraisers and marketing and communication teams in our fundraising markets have the necessary inspiring content, assets and information about our programmes. You will lead the War Child Alliance Foundation’s communications team and will also ensure there is an outstanding communications and marketing platform for our critical programmes, advocacy and scaling work. You will plan for and support the War Child Alliance internal communications processes to foster information sharing and support our People and Culture and Leadership teams.
Team
The War Child Alliance Communications team is responsible for the brand and the reputation on a global level for War Child, as well as overseeing all global and corporate communications and supporting the communications requirements of the War Child Alliance Foundation directorates. In tandem, the team also offers a robust service provision to our fundraising member network, supplying them with content, information and assets to support their communications and marketing outputs, and supports our internal communications processes across the Alliance.
What you will do:
You will report directly to the CEO of the War Child Alliance. Your key stakeholders will be those that are leading our programmes, scaling and advocacy work, global grants managers, research and development teams and the Fundraising and communications professionals operating in our fundraising markets. You will be responsible for:

About the role
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team to provide administrative and event delivery support across all event and fundraising activities. You will work with the team to support the work of our Education Committee, Trainee Committee and Digital Learning Board.
This is an exciting role for someone looking to get further hands-on experience in planning and executing a variety of educational events and activities and liaising with multiple stakeholders. Main Responsibilties
Event & Course Coordination
- Lead on course and webinar registration processes, including delegate bookings, communications, data management and reporting, and producing delegate materials.
- Support course logistics including venue sourcing and management, accommodation and travel, catering and AV.
- Support stakeholder management at education courses, including communications with patients, sponsors and event supporters.
- Occasional travel, including attendance and overnight stays at BSR courses, conferences and events.
Systems & Data Management

The Legacy Executive plays pivotal role in delivering exceptional fundraising services for our client Royal Trinity Hospice. You will be responsible for delivering excellent stewardship and supporter care – both of which are essential to achieving Trinity’s (and Compton’s) fundraising objectives.
You will inspire and support individuals in engaging with Legacy Giving, developing relationships that encourage a gift in their Will to Trinity. You will support in the development and management of legacy focused campaigns and products as well as exploring new opportunities for income growth.
The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Support the Head of Legacy Giving to identify, develop and maximise fundraising (and income) opportunities through fundraising products and events, and developing supporter relationships.

The Marketing & Communications team is crucial to the success of the Almeida’s ambitious vision and the strategic priorities for the team include:
- Build and manage the brand of the Almeida Theatre across London, the UK and internationally.
- Take a strategic and data first approach to marketing and promoting the Almeida and its work in order to deliver income targets in excess of £3 million in ticket sales each year.
- Build and diversify the audience who experience our artistic programme and increase engagement levels among those currently least engaged in arts and culture.
- Engage with a significantly bigger audience than current ticket purchasers, curating a cultural conversation predominantly through the creation and distribution of digital content.

Key Responsibilities:
CRM:
- Lead on management of Almeida’s central CRM database, Tessitura, and act as principal point of contact with Tessitura for all system maintenance, development, and upgrades.
- Work closely with the Marketing and Development teams to maximise the use of our CRM systems and ensure they are fit for purpose and align with the goals of the organisation.
- Ensure the CRM provides an effective sales funnel and is an efficient sales process.
- Work with the Box Office Manager to set up on-sales for new productions and events.
- Update the information and content in TNEW (online booking system), working Box Office Manager to ensure a smooth sales path.
- Work with the Development team to enhance our insight into current and prospective supporters. In particular, working to support Membership recruitment and retention, to encourage donations.
- Work with the Marketing Manager to produce audience segmentation strategies.
- Help troubleshoot queries or issues, related to Tessitura filtering those that cannot be resolved internally through to the Tessitura support.
- Provide support to all of the key departments within the Almeida which generate and use data, including set up of users, and provide training as required.
- Be a key part of the Almeida’s GDPR team ensuring all our data collection and processing complies with all current and future data protection legislation.
Sales, Insights and Data:
- Compile and deliver sales reports and analysis to relevant departments across the organisation, including senior and executive leadership, tailoring reports to suit a range of requirements.
- Monitor ticket inventory and introduce strategies for managing ticket holds.
- Provide up-to-date data analysis and reporting on marketing activities to help improve the effectiveness of campaigns.
- Use sales data analysis to advise the Director of Marketing and Communications on ticket pricing strategies.
- Manage our digital audience survey (Survey Monkey) and Arts Council data collection platform (Illuminate), collating and reporting on the results and evaluation of campaigns and audiences.
- Help guide the Almeida’s audience development strategy through customer research and data analysis relating to existing and new audiences.

Other duties:
- Be jointly responsible for the accuracy of all marketing communications, maintaining the theatre brand at all times, and advocating for this across the organisation.
