We are looking to recruit a motivated and talented individual with strong project management skills to lead the delivery of the training function within the BSI. Reporting directly to the Director of Events and Training, and in collaboration with the wider BSI team, the Training Manager will be responsible for the delivery of existing training programmes and for devising, setting up and rolling out new training courses by working with BSI members to develop content and curricula, utilising different platforms from face-to-face to remote learning and supporting marketing of the courses to relevant sectors.

This role reports into the Head of Brand and Marketing and sits withing the multi-disciplined Marketing and Communications Team, producing high quality, compelling and insight-driven content for use across multiple channels. This includes video and multimedia content, written stories and blogs as well as leading the podcast production.
Key Responsibilities:
· Content strategy and development – work with the Head of Brand and Marketing to develop and deliver content strategy; assessing content production needs across the charity, generating content ideas with the wider team and managing content production.
· Video creation - lead on the development of video content across the charity, sourcing contributors, managing scripts, overseeing filming and editing with the Multimedia Content Producer for campaigns..
· Blogs and written content – lead on the delivery of the blog plan, ensuring you’re continually publishing relevant, audience-focused blogs in line with wider objectives and activity. Support others to deliver blogs and written articles.

This role offers a mixture of campaign and project management, innovation and creative thinking. You'll be able to analyse results and apply insights to optimise and improve campaigns.
As a Individual Giving Manager you will
- Lead on the development and implementation of an effective programme to develop supporters using a range of channels, including but not limited to direct mail, telemarketing, DRTV and digital, and products including cash, raffle, regular giving, weekly lottery.
- Assist the Senior Individual Giving Manager to develop and implement an effective development strategy in order to maximise the lifetime value of supporters and the long-term sustainable net income raised for Barnardo's.
- Manage income and expenditure budgets.
- Line manage up to 3 direct reports.
You will have experience of :
- Working in a fundraising environment, specifically in direct marketing and across different channels.
- Delivering campaigns using a project management approach.

Role Overview

This role contributes to the delivery of the key objectives of the Marketing and Communications team:
- To increase awareness of Global Fund for Children’s work (the number of people who ‘see’ and ‘think’ about our work).
- To increase the number of opted-in email subscribers.
- To convert supporters from people who ‘do’ (follow us on social media, sign up to the mailing list) to people who ‘care’ (fundraise, donate, take an action, share and create user-generated content).
You will be responsible for creating high quality, engaging and original content for various channels, including reels, carousels and posts for Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn. You will be keen to develop and establish new communities on other channels as the social media landscape changes. Translating the work of our grassroots partners and GFC staff into powerful social media narratives, you will produce content that is aligned with our mission and ensure that we are maximising the potential of our digital channels to grow our supporter base and build a growing global movement.
You will collaborate with graphic designers, videographers, various digital agencies and colleagues around the world on a daily basis in undertaking your role coordinating campaigns and our daily social media schedule.
You should have a passion for staying up to date with industry trends and innovations, a track record of creating content aligned with cultural moments and a knowledge of how popular culture can drive social change. You will be skilled in producing viral content and driving actions and donations through social media.
To that end, you will also play a role in building relationships with our growing network of Global Ambassadors who use their networks and influence to raise the profile of our work and inspire their communities to take action. You will also provide support in managing relationships with our Global Ambassadors and other key influencers to maximise content opportunities and community building.

Position Responsibilities
Social Media Management and Digital Content Creation
- Support the execution of an integrated strategy for our social media channels including leading on content planning and creation, posting and analysis.
- Staying on top of trends and learning from analytics to create compelling and engaging content that meets agreed KPIs.
- Develop and produce high-quality multimedia content for various platforms, including social media, websites and email campaigns.
- Edit raw footage into finished videos using industry-standard software, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines.

Email Marketing
- Act as social media content lead for major campaigns and fundraising activities
- Recommend and execute social media strategies to achieve fundraising and campaign objectives and KPIs.
- Support the delivery of the Marketing and Communications team email marketing programme to meet agreed open and click-through rate KPIs.
- Support the team to build, design and send acquisition and retention emails using the email distribution system (Pardot).
- Support the review and analysis of email marketing results, report and evaluate overall and specific campaign success.
Global Ambassador and Influencer outreach and support
- Lead on delivering the Global Ambassador engagement strategy and influencer engagement activities.
- Support the cultivation of existing and new influencers and Global Ambassadors. Work across teams to coordinate asks/outreach and ensure relationship managers are briefed and supported to deliver cultivation plans.
- Work with colleagues across the organisation to identify new potential celebrity supporters and influencers, develop one-pagers and coordinate sign-off process and develop recruitment plans to bring them on board.
Project management
- Lead and co-lead specific digital campaigns and projects throughout the year.
- Manage and catalogue digital assets (photos, case studies and videos) and upload them to digital asset management system.
- Along with your colleagues, make sure that ‘Safer Communication’ and safeguarding are at the heart of all our asset collection and creation. Undertake your work in line with the safeguarding policy and best practice for marketing and communications work.

About You
Essential experience and skills
- A strong knowledge of social media trends and passion for creating engaging content.
- Significant proven experience of managing social media channels to achieve goals and objectives.

Terms and Conditions
Salary: This role is open to candidates from any location. If the candidate is based in the UK, the salary will be c. £50,000
Terms: Full-time contract, home-based with attendance from time to time at the UK office in central London when necessary or requested to deliver work plans.
Weekly hours: 35 hours per week
Flexible Working Location: This position is open to candidates from any location, but you must be able to collaborate easily, on a daily basis, with key colleagues (currently UK, Spain, Kenya) in the Marketing and Communications team.
Holidays: 30 days annual leave and eight public holidays. The basic annual leave allowance increases to 35 days after four years continuous employment.

This role plays a vital part in helping Winston’s Wish turn up the dial across our Individual Giving Fundraising. The Individual Giving Manager is responsible for creating, developing and delivering a fundraising plan to grow existing and new support for Winston’s Wish across our online and offline channels. This includes Direct Mails, Regular Giving, our Lottery, Legacies and In Memory giving income streams.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy
- Lead on the development and implementation of our Individual Giving strategy, supported by the Head of Mass Participation and the Director of Fundraising & Marketing.
- Ensure all opportunities and future plans are in line with Winston’s Wish’s over-arching fundraising strategy to meet financial targets, organisational objectives and KPIs.
- Maintain an awareness of philanthropy trends, news, events and legislation in the UK to ensure that Winston’s Wish remains up to date on key changes which are likely to impact on individual giving.
Generating Individual Giving Income
- Lead on and deliver a plan to increase individual giving income from streams including, but not exclusive to, direct mail, regular giving, legacies, in-mem and our charity lottery
- Effective use of KPIs to ensure decisions are driven by evidence and real-time data.
- Continuously analyse our income and supporter data to measure effectiveness of activities and return on investment.
- Work alongside our design agencies and in-house marketing team to develop and manage direct mail campaigns, including segmentation to ensure campaigns will be carefully targeted and designed to maximise income.
- Explore and test new methods for donor recruitment and increasing donations.
- Seek every opportunity to increase awareness of legacy giving to Winston’s Wish and monitor the effectiveness of these activities over time.
- Manage a growing portfolio of legacy enquirers with appropriate contact and timely solicitation of prospective legators including hosting events and tailored stewardship.
- Manage the stewardship and development of our regular giving programme including uplift campaigns and solicitation of new donors to agreed targets.
- Work alongside the wider fundraising team to ensure effective cross-selling of individual giving products and vice-versa identify opportunities to introduce other fundraising products to our individual givers.
- Identify supporters who could provide compelling content which could be used by the wider Fundraising & Marketing team to inspire further support including suggesting key individuals who could feature in online and offline publications.

- Diligently maintain records of all interactions with supporters on Salesforce.
