The role
The research communications and engagement team at Breast Cancer Now makes breast cancer research accessible and engaging to everyone. Its aim is to highlight the value and impact of research and build continued trust and support for the charity.
You'll use your science communication expertise to bring our research to life. You’ll create content covering Breast Cancer Now’s research aims, progress, and achievements for a variety of channels including our social media, website, fundraising and print publications. Primary location of role and hybrid working
This role is primarily based in our Cardiff/Glasgow/London/Sheffield office. However, our hybrid working model allows full-time staff members to work up to 3 days per week at home.

We3can is a collaboration between three cancer charities - Brain Tumour Research, Leukaemia UK and Sarcoma UK. We3Can is an ambitious collaboration of the three charities to fund research into prevention, treatment and cures for the most common childhood cancers: brain tumours, leukaemia and sarcoma. Job Purpose:
The Project Development Manager will be the main point of contact for the collaboration. They will be responsible for implementing and delivering the project plan, monitoring, evaluations, reporting, all systems and processes, coordinating meetings, etc and for generating income through (mainly) Corporate partnerships but may include some Trusts and High Value individuals. These partners will be with organisations/individuals who would otherwise be outside the reach of any of the three charities individually.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create systems and processes for administering and managing the functions of the partnership.
- Ensure regular project group meetings take place.
- Lead on the promotion of the brand and communications activities in conjunction with the communications experts on the project group.
- Monitor website and social media activity.
- Promote and implement activities to increase the profile of the collaboration.
- Identify, add and manage a pipeline of prospective funders.

About IKWRO
IKWRO –Women’s Rights Organisation (IKWRO) is an award-winning charity founded (as the Iranian and Kurdish Women’s Rights Organisation) in 2002. IKWRO is a registered charity which provides advice and support to Middle Eastern, North African and Afghan women and girls living in the UK, who have experienced, or are at risk of all forms of “honour” based abuse, including; forced marriage, child marriage and female genital mutilation (FGM), or domestic abuse.
We work with women and girls of all ages, including lesbian women, bisexual women and trans women. We offer services in Kurdish, Farsi, Arabic, Dari, Pashto, Turkish and English. IKWRO offers free advice, advocacy and counselling services and operates a refuge which provides safe accommodation and specialist support to single women at risk of “honour” based abuse, forced marriage and domestic abuse.
IKWRO also provides training for women and girls to help them understand their rights in the UK. In partnership with other organisations, we assist survivors of abuse with accessing English language classes and education, training and employment opportunities.
As well as supporting women and girls directly, we offer advice and training for professionals from the statutory and voluntary sectors, to better understand the needs of the women and girls we represent, the types of abuse they experience and to provide best practice prevention and support services.
We campaign to increase awareness and improve laws and policies to tackle all forms of “honour” based abuse and harmful practices including; forced marriage, child marriage, marital captivity, female genital mutilation, virginity testing and hymenoplasty, discrimination by sharia courts and to push for better laws and policies to protect women’s and girl’s rights.
Purpose of Job
The Fundraising Officer will work as part of the Fundraising and Marketing team and will be responsible for:
• Nurturing relationships with existing and prospective donors
• Sustaining and developing our group of individual and community-based supporters.

The Events Manager is a crucial role at the College, as you will be responsible for the planning and delivery of the College’s annual flagship conference. As Events Manager, you will work closely with internal and external stakeholders and suppliers to ensure this event is executed to an exemplary standard.
You will manage the Conference Committee and work closely with College Officers, Members and internal colleagues including the Creative Content and Marketing, Children and Young People and Corporate Services Teams to deliver our high-profile conference. Helping to ensure impactful campaigns are created to drive delegate registration and engagement, you will also be responsible for producing detailed project plans and RASCIs for the conference.
Reporting to the Head of Events, you will provide support with the tracking of event expenditure, managing supplier procurement processes and negotiating with suppliers to guarantee value for money. Excellent relationship management and interpersonal skills with colleagues, internal and external stakeholders and suppliers are essential, as are outstanding communication skills, both oral and written.
With a good understanding of project management methodology and how to apply it to events, you should have a sound knowledge and insight into the wider event industry, in order to keep up-to-date with trends, developments, innovation and legislation. Solution centric to enable innovation, you must be able to adapt to changing situations.

The RCPCH sets and maintains standards for the education and training of all doctors working in paediatrics and child health in the UK. We advocate on child health issues at home and internationally. All our events, whether in-person, hybrid or entirely online, are produced to a very high standard and often include high-profile speakers and audiences. Our Events Officers work with colleagues across the Institute to deliver our range of public events, roundtables, workshops and conferences.
As part of the events team, within the wider communications team and reporting to the Head of Events, you will:
- Support the design and co-ordination of the Institute’s programme of public and private events, including panel discussions, conferences, receptions, workshops and roundtables.
- Manage all logistics and marketing for timely, professional event organisation and delivery.
- Help prepare for and deliver Institute events outside of London, including our party conference programme.
- Share management of the busy events email inbox and deal with internal and external event enquiries.

Hope and Homes for Children is looking for a Funding Coordination Officer (this is the job title used internally for this role), who'll play a key supportive role in the Grants Partnerships team and Marketing, Communications and Fundraising (MCF) department, contributing directly to the Grants team income target as well as supporting fundraisers across the department to access compelling information in support of their fundraising.
You will help to drive key cross departmental initiatives including the coordination of restricted funding for our country programmes and the development of proposals and reports for our key projects and thematic work.
You will also manage our small and medium trusts and foundations portfolio (including stewardship, reporting, and proactively approaching new prospects), and occasionally support Grants team colleagues with reports, proposals and stewardship of our high value relationships.

This is a full time role working 5 days out of 7 including weekends and bank holidays.
We are looking for an Events Manager to lead and grow our corporate and private events business at WWT London Wetland Centre. You will lead this department to be a successful, profitable operation, consistently delivering events at the highest standards for our clients.

Can you harness the power of stories to improve life for people with dementia and those around them?
Our magazine, Dementia together, helps people affected by dementia to feel less isolated and better able to make decisions. We also inspire readers and listeners to be a force for change by campaigning, fundraising and more – people act on the real-life stories and ideas that we share.
You’ll work with the Magazine Editor to plan and create content that reflects the full range of people’s experiences of dementia, being true to their voices while also fulfilling the Society’s aims. You’ll speak with a great range of people in this role – people with a dementia diagnosis, their carers, friends and relatives, supporters, volunteers, activists, researchers, and colleagues across our teams as well as representatives from other organisations.
You’ll help make content available online and elsewhere, producing a podcast and enabling colleagues to draw on our content and material in other ways too.
We never stop improving what we do and how we do it. One example is our focus on finding new ways to involve people with lived experience of dementia in planning and creating content.
This is a homeworking role, but you may be required to travel to attend some meetings and team-days, so you must reside in the UK, have the correct right to work documents to work in the UK and be comfortable/willing to travel to our flagship offices (London or Birmingham) if/when required.
