SHINE is a membership organisation offering free services and support to over 14,700 members living with spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus, normal pressure hydrocephalus (NPH), and associated conditions.

We currently have 750 members living with NPH and this is growing significantly each month. This role will provide a specific focus on the area of NPH, whilst also supporting wider Shine activities. 

Main purpose of role 

Deliver a high-quality service to and facilitate opportunities for, individuals living with NPH/dementia and their families/carers through Shine membership across England, Wales and Northern Ireland. 

Empower and enable members living with the conditions to lead healthy and happy lives through greater independence, better condition management and by creating links to the Shine community and their local networks. 

Raise awareness of NPH across Health & Social Care professionals and the public. 

Support the planning and delivery of the annual NPH Awareness Week. 

As part of a high performing team, support Shine to be recognised as the number one provider of support for NPH outside of the NHS. 

Promote and support all Shine’s services and activities.

Hearing Dogs for Deaf People has been creating life-changing partnerships between hearing dogs and deaf recipients since 1982. This role will take the lead on the day-to-day operational delivery of fundraising campaigns, including campaign planning, financial management, working across teams and departments and line management. As Business Development Manager for our Community Services will focus and lead on:

We are recruiting a Cantonese speaking Team Manager to join the STEP team delivering this new programme. You will oversee a team of Employment Advisors who provide remote support to participants, assisting them in accessing job opportunities, education and training.  

You will be responsible for providing effective leadership, guidance and support to the Employment Advisors, monitoring and managing their workflow and providing coaching and mentoring to enhance their performance. Your responsibilities will also include quality assurance of STEP programme delivery, monitoring and reporting programme outcomes and compiling and analysing data on the effectiveness of the team’s interventions and activities.  

About you

We are looking for candidates who have:

• Proven experience in a supervisory or team leadership role, preferably within a refugee support or employment-related context.
• Strong understanding of the refugee context in the UK and the challenges faced in accessing jobs, education, and training.
• Demonstrable ability to motivate, develop, and manage a team, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse individuals and stakeholders.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Experience in outcome monitoring, data analysis, and reporting.
• Advanced level of English
• Competency in Cantonese

The Trust is seeking a Fundraising Director to run the day-to-day operations of our small and successful charity, alongside our existing Director of Operations, starting 1 September 2025, or as soon as possible thereafter.

The annual salary is £33,000 and hours of work are 35 hours a week. The successful candidate must be able to work from home but be willing to travel to central London for regular meetings and occasional events. We are open to part-time or flexible working options.

22 days annual leave increasing one day per year up to 30 days, plus bank holidays.

The National Youth Arts Trust (NYAT) is a small performing arts charity that exists to widen access to the performing arts for young people from disadvantaged backgrounds - through giving bursaries for music, dance, and drama lessons, running youth theatre projects, and taking children to the theatre, often for the first time.

Purpose of the Job
