The Acquisition Marketing Manager attracts new UK supporters and generates income for Mary’s Meals’ school meals programme through effective and inspiring marketing across online and offline channels. This is a fast paced and hands on role for someone who loves to collaborate, problem solve and drive growth while keeping focused on our mission to feed hungry children.
The role primarily raises income (but also awareness) through multi-channel marketing activity with a clear focus on maximising ROI and delivering supporter growth at scale. The focus of the role is on online marketing opportunities and includes managing our organic and paid social channels, overseeing social media influencer strategy and identifying emerging digital channels. The Manager works closely with the Mary’s Meals International team and its agency to deliver Google and Bing Paid Search, Google Grant, Display, and YouTube.
The role will also identify and manage the most effective offline marketing opportunities to maximise ROI from small budgets and pro bono opportunities, such as TV, Radio and OOH advertising. The Manager will ensure online and offline marketing opportunities complement each other (and link seamlessly to our retention strategies) as part of an integrated multi-channel marketing strategy.

The Acquisition Marketing Manager works side-by-side with colleagues from across the Supporter Experience and Communications directorate, ensuring a joined-up approach to all communications activities, through the integration of strong storytelling, marketing expertise and supporter engagement. Harris Hill is looking for a Marketing and Communications Manager, ASAP for 3-6 months, to cover a leaver at a wonderful health charity in London.
This remote based needs to start by the 6th August latest for a handover with the person leaving the post. This role will cover a permanent recruitment period, but also has potential to go permanent.
Reporting into the the Director of Communications, and will support the fundraising, policy and campaigns functions across marketing, digital, and maybe some PR if you have that experience, so we are seeking an all rounder, who can hit the ground running and would be available in the next few days to interview.
Experience required:
Able to create successful campaigns in the areas of awareness, behaviour change or donation
Ability to communicate with specific audiences across digital and public communications channels.
Digital marketing campaigns using social media, paid and organic, search engine optimisation (SEO)
Budget management and reporting
Creating reports and analysing data to continuously optimise campaign activity
Managing third party suppliers/agencies including freelancers
Skills and Knowledge
Marketing and communications all-rounder - experience of devising and creating multichannel campaigns, including journalist or influencer outreach and management
Excellent writing and storytelling skills
Knowledge of email marketing software, such as Campaign Monitor
Knowledge of marketing best practice and data protection rules and regulation

Salary: £37,000 / €44,200 per annum, depending on location
Location: Fully remote, UK or Ireland, with occasional travel for team meetings and sector events. This will be around twice per year and travel will be paid by the organisation.
