Embedded in the work of the Programme Department, the Communications and Marketing Manager is responsible for designing and delivering on communications and marketing plans designed to amplify our brand messages, and raise awareness of our mission with partners, and beneficiaries and help us achieve our vision.
This is a hands-on, operational role ideal for someone with significant experience of leading on communications activities, who thrives in a small team and enjoys delivering against long-term plans and managing day-to-day priorities. You’ll lead the delivery of all aspects of communications and marketing - from planning campaigns and managing social media to producing content and supporting fundraising efforts.
As well as working with the Programme Department to support and promote the work of our local partner programmes, the role will also create and maintain mechanisms to ensure all of our staff are informed and engaged with the full scope of our work and impact we enable.

Overview
The Olive Tree Cancer Support Group (the Olive Tree), is a registered Charity, dedicated to the relief of the physical and/or emotional distress of persons with cancer and their partners, families, friends and carers, through the provision of services, operating from its support centres in Crawley and Horsham.
A Centre Manager is being sought to manage all aspects of the Horsham centre, working closely with the Crawley Centre Manager and reporting to the Board of Trustees, delivering the charity’s goals and long-term strategy. The responsibilities include staff and volunteer management and recruitment, onboarding new patients / service users, engaging with external stakeholders and all other operational and day to day financial matters, including supervision of team members responsible for fundraising activities, social media and communications.

We’re now looking for a Head of Marketing and Communications to lead and shape the vital function that sits within the role. This is a senior strategic role at the heart of the organisation, whilst still allowing the post holder to stretch creatively. You’ll be responsible for building national campaigns, leading our communications strategy, overseeing our brand, and ensuring our message reaches the right people including the public, law enforcement and commercial clients and partners.
This is more than a brand role. It’s about driving real-world impact and action; helping people feel confident to share what they know about crime, supporting victims, and promoting positive change. Crimestoppers operates in a complex landscape of public safety, corporate partnerships, and digital innovation and so knowledge of the commercial world is key. You’ll need to balance creativity with accountability, public interest with stakeholder engagement, and strategic thinking with hands-on delivery.
We’re looking for someone with strong leadership experience across marketing, media, digital, and strategic communications, ideally in a high-profile or sensitive environment whether this be not-for-profit or otherwise. You’ll need to be comfortable managing teams and budgets, influencing at senior management team level, and working across different sectors. Most importantly, you’ll share our belief that everyone has a right to feel safe from crime.

Are you a relationship-builder with a passion for making a difference? We’re looking for a Philanthropy Manager to lead our high-net-worth giving strategy, with a special focus on Donor Advised Funds (DAFs). In this role, you’ll build meaningful connections with Wealth Advisors and DAF Managers whose clients have the potential to give £100k or more—all in support of our mission to end animal cruelty.
You’ll work closely with our Senior Manager of Major Gifts and Senior Director of Fundraising, Marketing and Operations to launch and grow our DAF strategy in the UK. Together, you’ll help expand our reach and deepen our impact by engaging generous individuals who share our vision for a more humane world for animals.

Essential Responsibilities
- Develop and implement ongoing strategies for Humane World for Animals’ growth in private philanthropy amongst wealth advisors, individuals and DAF managers in the UK, ensuring a strong ROI and including setting appropriate KPIs to monitor progress and measure success.
- Align the UK DAF strategy with the broader high net worth engagement strategy , collaborating with colleagues to maximise impact.
- Build Humane World for Animals’ UK DAF portfolio: identify, cultivate, solicit and deliver significant relationships and partnerships with wealth advisors and DAF managers.
- Conduct outreach to wealth advisors outside the Humane World for Animals network who may not yet be familiar with our work and raising our profile with this specific audience, including via networking and events opportunities.
- Formulate and implement individual strategies for developing key DAF partnerships and initiatives around programmatic priorities, mobilising necessary internal and external resources to ensure all partnerships are effectively executed and partners’ needs are fully met. Includes proposal development work.
- Act as an internal expert on the DAF landscape within the UK, bringing this to bear when developing proposals and ideas with programmatic staff.
- Contribute to internal collaboration on breakthrough solutions that can deliver social impact at scale for complex philanthropic relationships which span a variety of mechanisms of giving.
- Partner across revenue streams (including corporate partnerships, foundations, and major gifts) to maximise and leverage fundraising opportunities.
- Lead on our high net worth income from individuals; identify, cultivate, solicit and deliver significant relationships.
- Develop working relationships with program staff in order to identify funding opportunities and access program information that can be used to cultivate and steward wealth advisors.
- Stay abreast of key issues and trends in the international aid and wealth advisor community.
- Use our CRM (ROI Solutions) to track all DAF activity and revenue and activity projection in line with our data protection and privacy policies.
- Effectively represent Humane World for Animals to external audiences for both fundraising and profile elevation.
- Identify opportunities to represent Humane World for Animals on panels and events of interest to wealth advisors, including strategising around Humane World for Animals specific-events to engage wealth advisors.
- Strategic engagement with senior stakeholders to support donor engagement.
A successful candidate would have strong communication skills—both written and verbal—will be key, along with the ability to connect authentically with a wide range of people. You’ll be confident working independently, but also enjoy collaborating across teams to make things happen. Role Description
We are looking for a confident, motivated and results-driven marketing professional with a strong background in multi-channel campaign development and communications who is keen to work for a purpose-driven organisation. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, loves creating high-performing campaigns and wants to make a tangible difference through their work.
You will be responsible for planning, executing and evaluating targeted, insight-driven marketing campaigns that drive awareness, engagement and lead generation across a wide range of HACT’s projects, services and propositions. You’ll work closely with the Head of Marketing and teams across the organisation to bring our brand, offers and showcase the impact we create to all our audiences.
With hands-on responsibility for our developing and delivering campaigns utisiling the CRM and omni platforms, you will lead campaign planning and performance reporting, ensuring our messaging is always on-brand, relevant and effective. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to take real ownership and innovate within a small, high-impact team.
Responsibilities
- Design, deliver and evaluate high-impact marketing campaigns across all channels to promote HACT’s services, projects and charitable purpose.
- Apply audience segmentation, personalisation and targeting strategies to ensure effective communication with varied customer groups.
- Create and manage content for campaign assets, including landing pages, emails, blogs, social media and event materials.
- Deliver campaigns using digital tools such as Email management suite,Buffer, Google Analytics, and CMS platforms and optimise through data-driven insights.
- Lead the use of the CRM to support audience segmentation, campaign management and reporting across the customer lifecycle.
- Develop KPIs for campaigns and lead on performance tracking, reporting and continuous improvement.
- Manage the HACT website, ensuring content is current, accurate, SEO-optimised and designed to convert.
- Deliver engaging, timely and strategic social media activity across all key channels.
- Oversee and deliver email marketing campaigns with targeted content and personalisation to maximise engagement.
- Coordinate online and face-to-face events from a marketing and communications perspective to ensure strong attendance and experience.
- Support PR, media and thought leadership activity to increase brand reach and reinforce HACT’s sector voice.
- Build effective working relationships across teams and stakeholders to develop marketing briefs, assets and cross-channel campaign plans.
- Continuously review and evolve marketing and campaign processes to increase impact, relevance and return on investment.
Required Skills
- Proven experience of planning, delivering and reporting on end-to-end marketing campaigns.
- Strong working knowledge of digital marketing platforms, CRM tools and campaign reporting
- Experience applying segmentation, targeting and personalisation to improve campaign outcomes.
- Confident content creation and copywriting skills across web, email, social and print formats.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritise effectively and work flexibly.
- A proactive, collaborative, and resilient mindset, able to manage a varied and fast-paced workload.
