As Head of Fundraising and Communications, you will shape and lead our approach to ethical fundraising, inclusive communications, and brand stewardship. As Head of Fundraising and Communications, you will hold a key leadership role at the heart of bemix. You will build and deliver a fundraising strategy that grows our income while protecting our integrity; lead inclusive, accessible communications that amplify marginalised voices; and nurture a brand that reflects our commitment to social justice and inclusion. You will work closely with the Chief Operations Officer, Senior Leadership Team and Trustees — helping to tell the story of our work, build strong relationships, and secure support for the future.

Main aim: The Head of Fundraising and Communications is responsible for developing and delivering a coherent, values-aligned fundraising and communications strategy that supports bemix’s mission, values and long-term sustainability. This includes growing diverse income streams, strengthening public and stakeholder engagement, ensuring consistent, accessible and inclusive representation of our work, and embedding strong internal communications and messaging across the organisation.

As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, the postholder also plays a critical role in organisational planning, culture, reputation and long-term development.

Hours: 22.2 hours per week to be worked flexibly as agreed with your Line Manager. 

Start Date: As soon as the safer recruitment process allows. 

Location: The role offers hybrid working, combining remote and office-based work. The post holder is expected to work from a bemix office for a minimum of two days each week with regular travel to other bemix locations across Kent as required. Your office will be based at the Canterbury Innovation Centre, University of Kent site. With access to great facilities, including free parking, cafe, reliable local transport connections and lovely outside spaces to explore on breaks/lunch/walking supervision. Flexibility in working hours and location may be available, by agreement, to support wellbeing and work-life balance in line with our organisational values.

Duration: Permanent Contract

Salary and benefits: £50,000 per annum, pro rata + generous 25 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays + Contributory Pension Scheme (5% of pay)

The Commonweal Trust is continuing to develop an exciting project to help activists discover and use the peace and nonviolence resources which make up the Commonweal Collection, an independent specialist library housed securely at the J.B. Priestley Library, University of Bradford..

We are  recruiting for a Collection Development Worker to join our team who will work with the print Commonweal Collection and, through development of a digital strategy, increase the use and visibility of the Collection. This post also includes funding for a 60 hour discrete scoping project linking the resources on the Civil Resistance.info bibliography with the physical resources in the Collection. This role will work in collaboration with the Bradford Peace Museum at Saltaire and the J.B. Priestley Library, University of Bradford.

Collection Development Worker: Primary purpose of the role

To manage the Commonweal Collection, including responsibility for digital strategy, in order to provide access to resources for activist individuals and organisations, and increase nonviolent action within movements for positive social change.

Duties and responsibilitie:

The post-holder acts as the main point of contact for the Collection and is resonsible for ensuring it is is up-to-date and accessible. The intial focus of this fixed term contract is to build on work already undertaken with the print collection by scoping a digital strategy linking the Commonweal Collection to the CivilResistance.info website building on its role as a rich source of materials to inspire, support and informactivists seeking nonviolent transformative change.

• To  liaise closely with the J.B Priestley Library, including with its Special Collections archive.
• To undertake a discrete scoping project (60 hours) on integrating the work of the CivilResistance.info website and Commonweal Collection ahead of future funding and development.
• To manage, maintain and develop the physical Commonweal Collection and updating the online library management system.
• To develop and implement a digital strategy for Commonweal to ensure Commonweal resources reach national and international audiences.
• To work with the Outreach Worker to develop emotionally engaging resources on nonviolence that speak to a diversity of traditions, so that people learn practical ways to puruse change and maintain hope.
• To update the Commonweal website and its social media/online presence, including responsibility for the Commonweal blog, in collaboration with the Outreach Worker.
• To support the Outreach Worker as needed, to include work with volunteers and maintaining Commonweal's visibility within the Peace Museum premises.
• To ensure that the Collection is engaging and accessible to activists and organisations from diverse backgrounds, with a focus on what nonviolence means to different communities and under-represented perspectives.

Crisis is the national charity for people experiencing homelessness. We have embarked on our 10-year strategy for ending homelessness. We know it is not inevitable. We know together we can end it.

Location: This role is pan-London and will involve work from our Brent, London (Central), and Croydon Skylights. About the role 

Working across the Crisis teams in London, you will lead on the delivery of our volunteer programme. You will be responsible for the recruitment of new volunteers, the support of existing volunteers and volunteer supervisors to maintain a positive volunteer experience. You will work across teams to ensure volunteers’ experience of volunteering is positive and play a key role in volunteer retention. You will be collaborative and dynamic in working with the team to identify and develop new volunteering opportunities.  You will have the ability and confidence to increase the diversity and variety of our volunteering opportunities to reflect our local community and better serve our members. You will be flexible and innovative in reaching a diverse group of people from across the local community.

You will have experience of working with people who are socially excluded or with support needs. You will understand the importance of delivering equitable services and can empower our members to share their experience and contribute to continuous service adaptations and improvements. You will be creative and inclusive in establishing service-specific member involvement opportunities so members can influence our service locally. You will work across teams to ensure we deliver our service with people experiencing homelessness, instead of delivering a service to people experiencing homelessness. You will work with the central Crisis team to respond to member involvement opportunities, influencing policy and providing members with the opportunity to share their story with the wider public and media.

This role is offered as a full-time, permanent, hybrid contract. 

Salary: Competitive depending on location (D high).

You can be based in any of our globally located offices: Cardiff, Edinburgh, London, Warrington, Abuja, Bogota, Dhaka, Nairobi, and New Delhi. You will be required to attend the office for a minimum of 2 days per week with the option to work remotely for the remaining 3 days.

About the role

The Trusts and Foundations Advisor works strategically within the Partnerships and Business Development team to maximise impact and income by building high value partnerships and securing five, six and seven figure grants.

You will be responsible for building new relationships with prospect donors as well as providing exceptional stewardship of existing donors, and will collaborate closely with other teams in the wider division to create excellent proposals. 

You will be expected to develop a strong pipeline of highly engaged Trusts and Foundation Funders committing to multi-year pledges to maximise income and impact, and build relationships based on trust and openness using the support of senior staff and Multi-Country Cluster based colleagues.

You will work collaboratively within the team and beyond, sharing expertise and ideas to create strong cultivation plans and proposals, and you will be expected to think critically about existing processes, aiming to create, adapt and deliver innovative ideas, initiatives and networks to secure impactful and meaningful support for Christian Aid’s programmes.

You will develop relationships with potential donors and partners and represent Christian Aid at appropriate networking events such as conferences and external meetings.

About you

We are looking for a confident fundraiser with significant experience of securing five and six figure gifts from Trusts and Foundations. You will demonstrate a clear understanding understanding of the Trusts and Foundations landscape and market trends, and will be able to employ a wide range of Trusts and Foundations fundraising approaches and strategies.

As a fundraiser, you will have significant experience of responding to the requirements and demands of funders, and demonstrable experience of producing in-depth, motivating and inspiring proposals and funding reports.

You will be able to demonstrate highly developed negotiation and influencing skills, and demonstrable experience of successful networking with internal and external senior stakeholders. 

You will be able to demonstrate exceptional written and verbal communication skills across your work.

Zoe's Place Baby Hospice supports babies and young children aged from birth to five who have life-limiting/life-threatening conditions.

Their incredible work ensures that very unwell children can enjoy the best possible quality of life and they support their families throughout their journey.

The Baby hospices, based in Coventry and Middlesbrough, offer respite, palliative and end of life care for children, as well as support for the whole family. With a range of play therapies and fun activities their team of specialists work together to make every moment of childhood count.

The Charity have a really exciting calendar of events including a number of Challenge Events, the Annual gala dinner and the Boo Bash!

About the role

As Events Fundraiser you will;

• Meet agreed fundraising targets for events fundraising at Zoe's Place Coventry.
• Create, implement, and evaluate strategic fundraising plans, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and donor engagement strategies.
• Plan, deliver, evaluate, and grow a diverse portfolio of fundraising events, including the development of new opportunities by producing a business case for investment
• Work with third parties and external event suppliers to deliver high-quality events and maintain long-term, valued partnerships.
• Deliver an outstanding and consistent supporter journey across all fundraising events.
• Recruit, support, and manage volunteers to strengthen the events programme.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the charity to maximise opportunities and cross-promote events.
• Oversee the development of promotional materials and coordinate event marketing across social media, email, and other channels.

About you

To be successful in this role, it is desirable that you have had some experience in Events Fundraising however relationship management is key to this role so other transferrable skills will also be considered.
