About the Role

As our Stories Officer, you’ll work closely with our Stories Manager and Editor to produce high-quality, narrative content that showcases the difference Blue Cross makes in the lives of pets and their people. This part-time role places you at the heart of our storytelling efforts, using your skills to enhance our public profile, attract support, and drive supporter engagement.

You will ensure all stories are captured ethically and comply with our editorial standards, GDPR, and organisational principles. Your storytelling will play a vital role in raising awareness of our work and inspiring action from our community.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather and document impactful stories that reflect our mission and resonate with our audience.
• Collaborate with colleagues to produce engaging content for various channels, focusing on storytelling that highlights our achievements.
• Conduct interviews and write stories with accuracy, adhering to house style and ensuring GDPR and safeguarding compliance.
• Organise and direct photo and video shoots at Blue Cross sites and with pets in their new homes, working with external photographers and our in-house Video team.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal and external partners to facilitate effective story collection.
• Work with our Fundraising teams to develop ideas for donor appeals and mailings that illustrate the impact of donations.
• Track and organise stories in our Digital Asset Management (DAM) system for future use.
• Publish stories on our website, ensuring they are well-presented and meet content design and accessibility standards.
• Travel regularly to capture authentic stories and ensure content reflects real experiences.

Other Duties

• Assist with the production of our supporter magazine, For Pets, and our monthly newsletter, Pawprint.
• Share best practices on storytelling and brand voice to enhance our overall communication strategy.
• Manage content for key projects and campaigns, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with our communications calendar.

About You

We’re looking for an excellent writer who understands the art of compelling storytelling. You should be confident in interviewing people, making them feel at ease, and sensitive to their privacy. Your organisational skills and enthusiasm for our mission will be key to your success in this role.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

• Experience in researching, interviewing, and writing engaging, story-led content.
• Proven track record as a journalist or story gatherer for a non-profit.
• Exceptional proofreading skills and command of the English language.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to build relationships with diverse individuals.
• Strong understanding of media law, GDPR, and safeguarding issues.
• Willingness to travel occasionally (approx. one to two times a month).

Desirable Qualifications and Skills

• NCTJ qualification or other relevant journalistic training.
• Experience with on-camera interviews and video content creation.
• Familiarity with CMS (e.g., Drupal) and email campaign systems (e.g., Adestra).
• Knowledge of workflow management tools (e.g., Monday . com).
• Interest in pet care and welfare issues.
• Experience in directing photoshoots and using design tools like InDesign and Photoshop.

The Opportunity

We’re looking for a Fellowship Growth and Partnerships Officer to help us achieve real impact by recruiting Fellows to the RSA to grow and diversify our network of Fellows in line with the overarching operational strategy. You'll take ownership of some of our key recruitment sources, including attending events, speaking to prospective Fellows and showcasing all that the Fellowship has to offer. 

This role is based from RSA House in London for at least three days per week, with hybrid flexibility for the remaining days.

We are hiring for two positions in this posting. One Fellowship Officer will focus on recruitment through internal and external events. The other will focus on communications and recruitment campaigns.

What we look for in a successful Fellowship Growth and Partnerships Officer candidate:

• Experience in persuading others to take an action through one-to-one conversations and public speaking, whether in sales, marketing, campaigns or another capacity.

About the role 

The Head of Compliance, Risk and Governance role at Crisis is a varied and fulfilling role. You will be responsible for ensuring that Crisis adheres to all legal, regulatory, and ethical standards. You will lead the Governance, Compliance and Risk team to build and embed a proactive and enabling culture of compliance and assurance at Crisis UK. You will also be the Designated Safeguarding Lead for Crisis.

Part 1: Role Purpose:

Street Child is looking for a dynamic, confident individual with a passion for communications and a drive to make a difference.

We need a Global Communications Officer who is adaptable, personable, has an attention to detail and is ready to tackle any task with gusto. We are looking for someone who can drive forward our owned channel development, grow our website traffic and social media channels whilst maintaining strong platform engagement rates to generate fundraising.

Our ideal candidate will also create fresh campaigns with market cut through, develop clear, creative collateral, support our growing global advocacy efforts and identify opportunities for telling stories from Street Child’s programmes around the world. An eye for design and some basic editing skills is a bonus. 

Part 2: Key Responsibilities:

1. Social channel content creation, maintenance and development

• Lead on the development and maintenance of the Street Child social channels, pushing forward our social strategy with a relentless focus on growth and engagement. Develop, create, and manage engaging content for our social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, TikTok), including identifying strategies for viral and timely content.
• Craft compelling copy and visuals that align with our brand voice and promote Street Child programmes around the world.
• Identify and leverage emerging trends and opportunities for Street Child’s social media presence.

2. Day-to-day website content updates & maintenance

• Lead on the day-to-day content updates and maintenance of the Street Child website, working to a turnaround time of 48 hours for business-as-usual activity.
• Work with external web developers to ensure Street Child’s website is optimised for raising awareness of our work, engaging supporters and raising funds.
• Develop high-quality written and visual content optimised for web, including managing our blog to ensure a steady output of content on Street Child programme areas, including primary education work, education in emergencies, and humanitarian programmes.

3. Communications resource for global fundraising teams

• Support the strategic development and communications needs of European and North American entities, ensuring a strong cohesive global voice for Street Child.
• Support global fundraising teams on all communication resource needs, including but not limited to event publicity/promotion, key appeal content and community resource generation.
• Support the creation of content/collateral for fundraising teams.
• Support the development of corporate communications, including but not limited to the design of impact reports, event promotion and publicity.
• Work with colleagues in other fundraising teams to establish communication calendars and plan for their respective areas of work, identifying communication needs and deadlines ahead of time.

4. Global advocacy communications support

• Support the delivery of global advocacy events, such as UNGA and World Economic Forum.
• Support corporate communications strategies around global advocacy events, such as UNGA and World Economic Forum.
• Craft compelling advocacy messages for Street Child-owned channels, working closely with our global programmes experts to position the organisation as though-leaders in the global education sector.

5. Wider MMC support

• Support the delivery of key content and assets for media.
• Support the contracting of in-country photographers and videographers.
• Support the individual giving donor mapping and communications development, helping to deepen and develop our donor relationships and increase unrestricted fundraising.
• Able to represent Street Child appropriately both internally and externally.
• Carry out all reasonable requests that are within the broad remit of the role.
• Support the delivery of the Annual Report.

We have an opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join our team as the Website and Digital Communications Officer. This role has been established to support and deliver the digital element of our communications, which involves monitoring our online presence and creating compelling and effective online content for our website, social media and other digital channels.

In this role you will:

· Update content for St Mungo’s website for various teams/functions as required, ensuring that it is properly modified for Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) purposes.

· Supporting the pro-active monitoring of social media and respond in an appropriate and timely manner: X, Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn inclusive.

· Work with the Website and Digital Communications Manager to develop content across all platforms

· To support teams across the organisation in planning and implementing digital campaigns/campaigns with a digital element.

· To produce regular reports on the performance of our website, social media and other online activity. Share this intelligence and use it to inform strategy.

About you

We are looking for someone with:

· Demonstrable experience of working with social media (specifically X, Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn), using social media listening tools and developing online content.

· Experience of web content editing, digital marketing and communications.

· Good project and time management skills.

· Strong verbal and written communication skills.

· A keen appetite to learn and be capable of working both independently and collaboratively.

· Confidence using IT systems, including social media platforms, website content systems (specifically WordPress), video and Microsoft packages.

In this role you will be required to work flexibly for at least 2 days per week from our Central Office in Tower Hill, London. This allows for training, in person collaboration, team building, line management and other relationship building opportunities. About the role:

We are seeking a proactive, energetic and enthusiastic Corporate Partnerships Officer to be an integral part of a team which aims to both maximise corporate income and deliver an excellent partner experience. We are looking for a Corporate Partnerships Manager to support the Head of Membership Engagement in the overall development and delivery of commercial revenue streams at the Chartered Institute of Fundraising. This will include all current sponsorship for conferences, including our flagship Fundraising Convention, corporate membership, and strategic partnerships. 

Job purpose:

• Recruiting, retaining, and developing corporate members.
• Identifying and securing new sponsors and exhibitors for the Chartered Institute’s event business, including one-day conferences, webinars, and Fundraising Convention.
• To identify, secure, and nurture long-term strategic partnerships.

​Key Accountabilities

• Work and support the Head of Membership Engagement across the following income streams:
  • Fundraising Convention: Responsible for the overall management of expo – planning, sales and invoicing;

The role:

As Communications Manager, you will lead all aspects of our communications and marketing activity with key stakeholders and with the general public. Working closely with the Directors, the CEO and the staff, you will create a compelling, coherent and consistent narrative that joins up all our communication channels, key messaging around core BTG work, and plan strategically for key dates linked to activities and events corelated with our aims and mission. To do this, you will work with staff across our organisation and with the communities we represent to increase our engagement with the general public and key stakeholders. Our communications will be both reactive and proactive and the post holder will provide quick responses to emerging media stories. 
 

Duties and responsibilities 

1. Oversee Black Thrive’s communication activity, co-ordinating that activity and planning for all communications channels, including website, social media and external newsletters. This role includes marketing Black Thrive to different audiences to raise the profile of the organisation in support of its strategic aims. 

2. Deal proactively with media enquiries, maintain the media database and log enquiries, monitor media coverage. 

3. Implement effective external communications strategy to develop a consistent and coherent narrative for Black Thrive; amplify and support the work of the organisation among the general public, potential strategic partners (including but not exclusive to academics, community partners and local decision-making bodies); and provide clear goals around communication and brand awareness.
