Senior Communications Officer

The Clean Air Fund is looking to recruit a Senior Communications Officer to join their Strategic Partnerships and Communications team in London. This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing organisation whose mission is to use philanthropic grants to catalyse a reduction in air pollution.   

As a Senior Communications Officer with Clean Air Fund you would help to support the Clean Air Fund’s communications and engagement with our key audiences of governments, funders, businesses, researchers, civil society organisations and campaigners. You will help proactively shape and deliver Clean Air Fund’s strategic communications activities to tackle global air pollution. You will lead our social media strategy and management to grow our digital audiences and foster deeper engagement. From delivering compelling content to executing digital campaigns to coordinating events, you’ll play a critical role in raising our profile and 
supporting the clean air movement. Reporting to the Digital Communications Manager, you will be responsible for day-to-day delivery of compelling communications and developing our digital channels. You will also support our wider campaigns across all our channels including earned and paid activities.

To be successful in this role you will have 

•  Proven experience in a wide-ranging communications role in a similar sector.
•  Significant experience managing social media channels, and developing and delivering social media strategy.
• Proven track record of developing and implementing multichannel communications campaigns and plans.

The Partnership Manager role will report to the CEO and sit within the Business Development Team.

The Partnership Manager will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities in order to generate revenue, improve profitability and help the business grow. You will have a clear ability to tailor the way we sell our services to potential clients.

Principle Tasks and Key Responsibilities:

• Working closely with the CEO, Board of Directors, and the team, you will lead on developing and managing creative art programmes, projects, activities, and events.

• Maintain and develop relationships among key partner organisations,local businesses, creatives, and host steering group meetings to develop new ideas and plans to progress and enhance the organisation, building communication and providing regular feedback. 

• Work with the CEO to develop annual organisational and project budgets, and manage ongoing programme budgets to ensure they are delivered as agreed within set budgets and timescales.

The purpose of the role is to drive and deliver our ambitious fundraising strategy in order to support the work of Life. The Individual Giving Manager is responsible for shaping and delivering the end-to-end experience of existing supporters as well as attaining new supporters.

Reporting to the Director of Income Generation and leading the Individual Giving Team, the post holder will work closely with colleagues across the fundraising and marketing teams to; create, test, monitor and evaluate appeals and campaigns, lead on Legacy (and in-memoriam giving) lottery and raffle and other income streams associated with individual giving. The post holder will be working to and reporting on ambitious income and expenditure targets and ensuring that supporters have a positive experience of the charity.

The postholder will lead a Donor Administration Manager to deliver on a positive donor/supporter experience with the aim of retention of current supporters for the long term as well as acquisition of new donors, maximising the potential of all of our supporters. It forms a central part of the overall fundraising strategy, with the ultimate aim of growing our individual giving income to increase the impact of the charity and benefit those needing support in pregnancy, pregnancy loss or in the early years of a baby.

Key Responsibilities:

· Design, develop and implement a cohesive supporter journey strategy focussed on supporter needs and continuous re-engagement

· Champion best practice and stewardship with individual supporters

· Grow one-off donations and regular gifts and maximise the acquisition of new supporters through direct mail and digital marketing

· Co-ordinate all communications and messaging targeted at existing supporters

· Measure performance against campaigns and appeals

· Lead on marketing and communications around Legacy giving and the Legacy and In-Memoriam supporters journey

Research & Service Development

 · Identify individual giving trends and use this knowledge to continually develop new products for the charity

· In line with GDPR and complying with all legislation and the Code of Fundraising Practice: ensure fundraising and campaigns are insight-led and focused on long-term growth

· Oversee the compliance of third party agencies to ensure activity is carried out in line with the values of Life, the Fundraising Code of Practice and the law

· Input fully into the wider fundraising strategy by working closely with fellow managers and the team as a whole

Information Management

 · Ensure data and information systems are up to date and provide an accurate picture of supporter segmentation, communications, preferences, permissions, requests, gifts and pledges

· Create regular and detailed reports to monitor individual giving performance against campaigns and targets

· Support the maintenance of the database to ensure records are updated, procured and implemented.

Personal and People Development

 · Ensure personal continuing professional development is maintained, including attending relevant internal and external development training and workshops.

· Ability to manage own objectives and areas of responsibility within charity projects to ensure deadlines and financial targets are met.

· The post holder will be expected to liaise within the team and with key stakeholders as well as supervising specific projects and campaigns.

Line management responsibility for the Fundraising Insight & Database Officers, providing day to day management support, appraisals and objective setting, as well as working with these postholders on their own personal and career development.

You will help maximise supporter recruitment and development opportunities whilst ensuring long-term growth for St Giles Hospice.

To manage the delivery of the Individual Giving Programme which includes recruiting new cash and regular giving supporters from a variety of multi-channel campaigns and initiatives. To deliver the warm campaigns such as cash appeals, regular giving, raffles and lottery.

About the role

Are you an experienced corporate fundraiser with an interest in working in the international development sector? Are you creative, strategic, highly organised, a confident and effective communicator and strong team player? 

We are looking for an experienced Senior Corporate Fundraising Manager to work closely with the Head of Programme Funding to drive new donor engagement and secure sustainable, multi-year funding. If you are seeking a dynamic and engaging fundraising role which offers you the chance to play a pivotal role within a small but ambitious organisation, then this could be the job for you.

You will be an exemplary relationship builder and have experience in developing multi-faceted corporate partnerships (ideally with experience and success in employee engagement, corporate sponsorship, and/or operational partnerships).

The role also line manages the Senior Fundraising Officer post, a position that provides administrative and fundraising support across the whole fundraising team.  Please note that we are a small team and so you’ll need to be comfortable rolling up your sleeves to help out team members and to support new business across other restricted income streams. 

If you think you have the skills, qualities and drive to fulfil this role, but don’t meet all of the specifications, or perhaps you’ve gained your experience in (for example) commercial sales or within relationships management and are looking to move into development work, we would still welcome hearing from you. We’re always interested to hear from talented individuals who can help drive the success of the team. 

We are also open to making the role part time (80%) for the right candidate.

 Interviews will be held on a rolling basis.

LRMN is looking for a highly organised, proactive and engaging Campaigns and Communications Manager who is passionate about storytelling and campaigning, excited about policy change and excellent at building stakeholder relationships.

LRMN is a thriving organisation supporting refugees, asylum seekers and migrats, with a focus on south and southeast London boroughs. Our services include provision of specialist legal advice and information on immigration, housing and welfare, therapeutic and practical support to women who survived gender based violence, helping our service users access employment, training and volunteering opportunities, prevention of mental health problems, and helping our clients engage in their community.

You will play a key role in identifying strategic opportunities to make change through empowering and engaging our clients and local network, building and communicating a strong case for change. You will also play an important leadership role within LRMN, sitting on the management team.

We are currently working in a hybrid model. You would be expected to work two days from our office in Deptford.
