Following a recent rebrand and the launch of a full-funnel sales and marketing strategy, we are looking for an experienced and proactive Marketing Manager to join our values-driven charity on an initial 6-month fixed-term contract to drive lead generation and nurture campaigns at an exciting time in our growth.
This is a fully remote role, working as part of a well connected and collaborative team dedicated to helping school leaders build stronger schools through effective professional development. The successful application will be a confident, experienced marketeer with hands on experience of email campaign and event management, preferably in the charity sector but this is not essential. A part time contract may be considered and availability from September would be an advantage.

Role Overview
Following a recent rebrand and the launch of a full-funnel sales and marketing strategy, Teacher Development Trust are looking for an experienced and proactive Marketing Manager to join our values-driven education charity on a 6-month fixed-term contract.
You will lead key delivery areas of the marketing function, focusing on planning, running and evaluating effective, segmented email campaigns, creating compelling assets, building trust through social proof and coordinating our presence at events. This role is hands-on, delivery-focused, and designed to help accelerate our reach and engagement with schools, partners, and the wider education sector in both the short and longer term. Generating quality leads and nurturing to conversion is the objective. The ability to apply previous marketing experience with confidence at pace is essential.
Key Responsibilities
Email Campaign Management

Design and implement segmented email marketing campaigns that generate leads and drive nurture, conversion and engagement

Collaborate with the wider team on content planning and audience targeting to support both brand and programme recruitment campaigns

Monitor and report on performance; continuously test and improve subject lines, content, and CTAs and improve MQL generation and quality
Social Proof & Case Study Development

Identify and secure testimonials, quotes, and stories from partners and participants

Create and manage a bank of social proof materials to support sales and marketing campaigns

Collaborate with delivery and research teams to gather impactful data and insights
Event Marketing

Plan and coordinate TDT’s presence at national and regional events

Manage pre-event promotion and post-event follow-up to support lead generation

Coordinate logistics and event materials in collaboration with relevant colleagues
Campaign & Asset Development

Lead the creation of on-brand marketing assets (e.g. brochures, presentations, case studies, leaflets, reports)

Work with internal and external content creators to maintain high visual and editorial standards

Ensure consistent brand tone and alignment across all materials
Collaboration & Coordination

Work closely with the Director of Partnerships & Impact and other colleagues to ensure alignment with strategic goals

Coordinate effectively with colleagues in Partnerships & Impact Team, Design & Delivery Team, and Operations Team to ensure a seamless customer journey

Support the School Engagement Manager and Marketing and Recruitment Officer with content and campaign execution, including back up support for wordpress and social media
Who We're Looking For

Proven experience in a marketing or communications role, ideally within a purpose-led or education-focused organisation, is essential

Strong content and asset creation skills, confident briefing designers and writers as needed

Experience co-ordinating, planning and running multi-touch, concurrent email marketing campaigns (Mailchimp, HubSpot, GMass or similar)

Excellent organisational and project management skills; comfortable juggling multiple deadlines

Ability to build relationships across teams and with external partners

Comfortable working autonomously and taking ownership of projects from start to finish

Bonus: experience with events and content production in a nonprofit or education setting

About the Role
This senior, strategic role is ideal for someone who thrives in a small, fast-moving team and wants to make a tangible difference. Reporting to the CEO, the Head of Marketing will lead on marketing, communications, and digital strategy, while line managing the Fundraising Manager and Digital Communications Officer.
Key responsibilities include delivering high-impact campaigns such as International Face Equality Week, growing digital reach to over 2 million people annually, and driving income through the Workplace Inclusion Programme and membership growth.
The postholder will also contribute to organisational strategy, support education and policy initiatives, and ensure that the charity’s values-led approach reaches underrepresented voices globally.

JOB TITLE: College Principal
REPORTING TO: Chief Executive Officer
ROLE PURPOSE
The Principal provides overall institutional leadership for Waverley Abbey College, locally, nationally and internationally. They are also the steward of its spiritual and strategic health, including:
> Strategic direction and planning to develop Waverley Abbey College as Waverley Abbey Trust’s education ministry, ensuring our ethos and theological framework is safeguarded.
> Direction to the existing faculties and development of new products in line with the strategic plan.
> Leadership on all regulatory and partnership matters.
> As a member of the Executive Team, contribute to the strategic direction and delivery of Waverley Abbey’s mission .
ROLE PROFILE AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. College Leadership
> Provide spiritual and strategic leadership to all aspects of College life.
> Lead and cultivate the culture of the College.
> Develop a strategy and plan to achieve the Waverley Abbey mission & vision, ensuring annual operational and business plans are delivered for each department of the College.
> Promote and foster a quality conscious culture and staff committed to forming learners and graduates of academic excellence and deep personal spirituality and formation.
> Ensure that the College theology is in line with the ethos and values of Waverley Abbey, and that Waverley Abbey ethos and values are informed and enriched by our theology.
2. Relationship Management
> Be accountable to the CEO, Exec, Advisory groups and Board.
> Constructively drive the development of the College within the wider Waverley Abbey vision.
> Ensure that Board, CEO and Exec are fully informed on all areas of risk affecting the College.
> Innovate and develop partnerships with external stakeholders to effect the vision and mission of Waverley Abbey, and growth of the college, establishing and fostering healthy relationships with likeminded institutions, scholars and business leaders throughout the world.
> Participate in and extend the integration and relationship of the College with 24-7 Prayer for the larger vision for Waverley Abbey.
> Engage with church leaders, para-church organisations, donors and other key stakeholder groups to develop the mission of the College, ensuring staff are similarly engaged.
> Ensure both the national and international profile of the College is enhanced, extended and protected.
> Manage relationships with all relevant external bodies including DfE, Universities, QAA and OfS.
3. Business Development and Student Pipeline
Ensure the College is profitable and has high student satisfaction ratings
by:
> Increasing brand awareness of Waverley Abbey College nationally first and then internationally (working closely with marketing) .
> Delivering quality and excellence in all products and services to students and potential students.
> Establishing and managing efficient and effective enrolment systems to maximise student enrolment onto all courses.
> Ensuring pricing of courses is always competitive and profitable.
> Regularly reviewing product offering and ensuring excellence, and meeting market demand .
> Developing new products that attract and serve students nationally and internationally (especially 20-40 year olds) .
> Thinking global, acting local and putting digital strategy first.
> Developing and implementing strategic relationships with partners and Church networks to drive volume in student pipeline.
4. Research Direction, Course and Learning Development
> Strengthen and extend a committed learning, development, innovation and research environment throughout the College.
> Build the reputation of the College for research and learning development that is relevant, influential and world class .
> Establish the College as a research centre within its HE offerings, that is fit for purpose as a future University.
> Establish a pathway to degree awarding powers.
> Establish credible routes to new courses, HE and non-HE.
5. People
> Lead the College Senior Leadership Team and develop a high performance culture .
> Recruit and appoint senior staff and oversee standards for recruitment of faculty, senior managers and other key roles.
> Oversee the development and implementation of an effective workload allocation model .
> Monitor and foster ongoing professional development of all staff.
> Ensure that staff performance reviews are effective and that senior staff achieve their KPIs .
> Ensure faculty are focused on student and learner development.
6. Financial Performance
Ensure the College operates in a financially profitable way, on a sustainable
basis.
Take a proactive role in the financial management of College ensuring an
operating surplus vs budget.
