Prospectus is excited to be supporting a social welfare charity to recruit two Supporter Acquisition Managers to project manage and lead on day-to-day delivery of supporter acquisition appeals and to lead on the planning and delivery of the Christmas Campaign.
The charity is one of the largest, most diverse providers of social and community services after the Government. With more than 600 local centres and nearly 100 residential centres, they make a powerful difference to people across the UK who might otherwise be excluded.
Along with the Assistant Head of Individual Giving, the Supporter Acquisition Managers will be responsible for growing the organisation’s supporter base and hitting an annual Individual Giving team fundraising target of £50 million in unrestricted income. As a direct marketing subject matter expert, the Supporter Aquisition Manager will lead cold recruitment campaigns and support in identifying and delivering new products or acquisition streams. The role will lead on planning and project managing delivery of a variety of media channels, both online and offline. This role will hold some strategic responsibility for either the Christmas Campaign, or ongoing Acquisition Innovation. The role will be responsible for seven figure expenditure budget and line management a Supporter Acquisition Officer or a Supporter Acquisition Executive.
As planning for the Christmas Campaign is already underway, the charity is open to temporary or interim candidates who might be interested, as well as permanent candidates.
The successful candidates will have significant direct marketing expertise with a strong background in project managing multiple campaigns across a range of channels, ideally in a fundraising role, and with proven success at recruiting new donors. As well as previous experience in identifying areas of innovation and devising testing plans to launch and roll out, you will also have a track record in successfully leveraging value from data collated on supporter databases, to maximise targeting and data segmentation.

Role Purpose
Winston’s Wish is a digital first organisation leading the way in Digital Transformation across the Bereavement sector. This role will play a vital part in helping Winston’s Wish turn up the dial across our corporate partnerships fundraising. As our Corporate Partnerships Fundraiser, you will be responsible for growing income from new and existing corporate supporters through creative fundraising and engagement plans and efficient account management, ensuring all partnerships have an excellent experience of supporting Winston’s Wish and understand the impact of their support on the lives of grieving children.

Main Responsibilities
Account Management and Stewardship
- Confidently manage a portfolio of existing corporate supporters who, together, make a significant difference to the lives of grieving children.
- Support the delivery of the corporate supporter activities, contributing to a team target.
- Ensure all supporter records are accurate, compliant, and up-to-date on our database, and document all corporate engagement activity.
- Execute and adapt bespoke campaigns.
- Maintain an awareness of corporate giving trends, news, events, campaigns and legislation in the UK and pick up on opportunities or topical issues that will enhance the charity.
- Provide comprehensive stewardship for our corporate supporters.
- Prepare regular communications, rewards and incentives and feedback.
- Tailor impact reports to ensure supporters understand and are inspired by the impact of their support.
- Seek out value added benefits such as generating awareness of the charity, volunteering, gifts in kind, introductions, attendance at events and pro-bono work.
Fundraising
- Identify new prospects in areas and industries where the charity is less known.
- Manage pipeline, approaches and KPIs to meet ambitious income targets.
- Provide support, where appropriate, for wider fundraising activity to develop opportunities across different fundraising areas.
- Work with our Events Manager to leverage and maximise corporate participation in our evolving events programme.

OPERATIONS MANAGER - ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
The Operations Manager is a key support for the church’s leadership and heads the staff team providing management over key operational and missional areas of the church’s activities.
This leadership role supports the ethos and ministries of the church and its mission to be a church for the community - discovering Jesus, sharing God’s love, and caring for those in need.
A vital aim for our church’s work in the local community is that our staff relationships, our Venue ministry, our Christian hospitality and how we use and share our building should all reflect God’s character - showing compassion, generosity, and kindness.
The role has a lot of different components, so we’re looking for someone who sees all aspects of this job as an expression of the church’s mission to proclaim the Good News and will facilitate and serve the congregation, the staff and the volunteer teams as they creatively explore ways to express our Christian ethos through the life and ministries of the church. This therefore requires that they are someone who has a mature Christian faith.
They will need to be a “servant“ leader who is mentally agile, energetic, able to schedule and prioritise, a good delegator, a team player, a quick learner and capable of taking initiatives, with a healthy understanding of self-care - we’re not looking for a “hero”, but someone who can work sustainability.
Leadership:
- Work closely with the church leadership team to support the trustees, staff and congregation in the development of church vision, ethos, mission and ministries.

Administrative Services and Support:
- Provide administrative support for the Ministers. Develop and maintain administrative, organisational, communications systems and record keeping procedures for the church’s general administration. Maintain membership and constitutional records.
- Administrate the church's IT infrastructure, broadband, phone systems, and utilities accounts and ensure they meet the operational needs of the building and its ministries.
- Assist the Venue Manager to develop and maintain suitable and effective systems, strategy, pricing, communications, contract management, staffing and customer relations.
- Develop the church’s visibility and profile in the community using the church’s website, social media, ArtSpace, and missional displays and exhibitions, ensuring these align with the church’s ethos and mission.
Financial Oversight:
- Oversee provision of financial management information to Leadership team and Trustees, including budgeting, salaries, financial reports, end-of-year statements. Support them in developing financial strategies and policies.
- Oversee the accurate functioning of church financial systems, controls and procedures. Monitor and administrate reserves and investments.
- Ensure WGC's financial practices comply with UK charity regulations. Assist with the filing of the accounts and annual report to the Charity Commission.
Provide financial oversight, management, and support for:
- Venue ministry finances, pricing and strategy

The post-holder will coordinate union-led activity at the SoM in Canary Wharf, supporting other departments in the activity they run and running engaging and relevant activities for SoM students. The post-holder will also support the UCL East Manager in undertaking continual research into activities and tracking engagement with activities on the campus.

The charity offers a flexible working environment, with hybrid working and an expectation to work from their Greater London office 2 days per week.
Reporting into the Individual Giving Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the Individual Giving team. You will be responsible for the delivery of core elements of the Supporter Acquisition programme, developing engaging communications / products and activity across multiple channels, such as paid search and social, email, telemarketing and offline channels. You will lead and deliver projects for the recruitment of new supporters to identify new audiences, optimise response, grow the supporter base and contribute to the lifetime value of supporters.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead in the development and delivery of Supporter Acquisition campaigns/activity/products across a range of media, with a specific focus on digital channels, in line with strategy, planned budgets and targets, ensuring campaign deadlines are met.
• Work closely with the Individual Giving Manager – Supporter Acquisition to plan, manage and deliver the annual operating plan, including end-to-end project management, making decisions within agreed parameters, providing recommendations for final approval.
• Be responsible for the briefing and the day-to-day management of internal and external suppliers including copy and artwork development through to production, broadcast and final print.
• Monitor and report on campaign/activity/product performance/KPIs (e.g. end of campaign reports, monthly reporting) and analyse results to enhance campaign performance and inform campaign planning, decision making and improvements to Supporter Acquisition.
• Manage the briefing and liaising with the Data team to deliver complex and accurate data selections and reporting requirements.
• Deliver draft budget and reforecasting figures as part of the planning and budgeting process, providing information required, and working closely with the Individual Giving Manager – Supporter Acquisition, to review and reforecast activities for Supporter Acquisition.
Person Specification:
• Experience of applying the principles and techniques of Individual Giving / Direct Marketing within a multi-channel, multi-discipline environment, especially through supporter acquisition channels.
• Good project-management experience, including managing budgets, schedules, creative development, and supplier relationships for fundraising direct marketing campaigns.
• Knowledge of best practice digital fundraising, with particular experience of running Search, Social and online campaigns to increase supporters and gather data for future marketing opportunities.
• Experience of managing campaign budgets, reforecast of activity, monitoring, reconciling and reporting on results in line with KPIs.
• Experience of managing external relationships, for example with suppliers, agencies, including effective negotiation re costs and contractual obligations.

- Content creation & copywriting: write, edit and oversee the production of high-impact Centenary content across all channels
